The Gates of Hell - Gunnuhver

Iceland's Gunnuhver is one of those geological phenomena which is almost unique to this geologically fascinating island in the North Atlantic.  It's a geothermal area which is located at the tip of Reykjanes, the southernmost of the three peninsulas which extend off of the island's western coast.  It's one of the most accessible of the island's many active geological zones to the capital city of Reykjavik, which lies about 45 minutes to the northeast.  You can check out Gunnuhver from above in this drone video by top contributor snorrithor.
