Þríhnúkar (Tri-Peaks)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Top AirVuz contributor snorrithor, who has been a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest and was a winner at the second annual Drone Video Awards, serves up another jaw-dropping video from the wondrous island of Iceland. The video was shot over a volcanic mountain system called Thrihnukagigur (Þríhnúkagígur), which translates to Three Peaks Crater. The now-dormant volcanic system is located Reykjanes, a peninsula that extends to the southwest from the national capital in Reykjavik.

I was driving out to Snæfellsnes peninsula last sunday, in cloudy and gloomy looking weather, when the sun suddenly burst out of the clouds and lit up those mountain peaks (Þríhnúkar (Tri-Peaks) in mt.Hafursfell) that I´ve meant to film several times. I instantly turned on to a small gravel road leading up to the mountain and sent my drone up for a closer look. What a beautiful morning :)
