Someone asked, "Where does all that water go that's diverted from the Sacramento River at the Sacramento Weir?" Here's a quick video I shot at sunset of the Yolo Bypass between West Sacramento and Davis. It turns the Yolo floodplain into an ocean under Highway 80's Yolo Causeway. Before a causeway was built, motor travelers between Davis and Sacramento were forced to detour south through Tracy and Stockton when seasonal flooding left the Yolo Bypass basin under water - like you see in the video.
