Things To Do in Oslob, Cebu

This is the Oslob Catholic Church and Watchtower. About 10 miles down the coast is the small community of Tan-awan where the local fisherman were surrounded by whale sharks some 15 to 20 years ago. The sharks followed them because of their fish. they started feeding them their bait, and have been doing that ever since. The local government with the help of National government has since setup a whale shark encounter. They feed the sharks about 5-10% of the sharks daily diet. The encounters last from 6am to 12pm with a single encounter lasting 5 minutes with 1 of 12 sharks. For $10 you get 1/2 hour viewing.
