Carsulae a roman city, Terni - Italy | A FPV cinewhoop discovers the fascinating remains on the Via Flaminia We discovered this archeological park a bit by chance and we’re so glad we decided to stay for a little flight!Carsulae is an ancient city sliced by the Flaminian Way that was already partly abandoned during the Roman Empire due to landslides (even today a lot of the city is still buried). You can still see some of the most important buildings of the city center like the theater and the Templi Gemini (Augustan Age) or the medieval church. You can find the San Damiano arch garrisoning the northern city borders and just beyond some funerary monuments. Due to the loss of importance of the Falminia’s western branch the town declined very fast and, after some barbarian invasions and seismic events, it was abandoned during the Middle Ages. Today it’s an archeological park that shows its best side with the sunset light, giving us a strange mix of nostalgia and curiosity about our past…
