The Belvedere Palace Park owes its current appearance primarily to Duke Carl Friedrich. He had the English landscape garden laid out with its wide, picturesque views, for which even the famous garden artist Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau had words of praise in 1845:  The design of the entire facility was "superbly successful."

Mildenstein Castle, formerly known as Mildenstein Castle or Leisnig Castle, is located in Leisnig, in district of Mittelsachsen, in the Free State of Saxony. The Mildenstein Castle is owned by the Free State of Saxony.

The Großsedlitz baroque garden with the Friedrichschlösschen is located on a hill on the left bank of the Elbe southeast of Dresden in Großsedlitz, which belongs to the town of Heidenau in the Free State of Saxony.          The place lies on a plateau between the valleys of the Müglitz in the west and the Seidewitz in the east, which represents a foothill of the Eastern Ore Mountains. From there you have a view of the Elbe valley basin.
