Lake Toblino is a small alpine lake at the bottom of the valley located in Trentino, surrounded by a luxuriant reed thicket and particularly interesting vegetation. The lake and the surrounding area have been declared a biotope for its naturalistic, both botanical and ethological qualities, and as such it is protected by the Autonomous Province of Trento. Bathing is not prohibited, but the low temperature of the water and the strong currents strongly advise against it. It is located at an altitude of 245 meters above sea level. and occupies the final part of the Valle dei Laghi, not far from Trento and the towns of Padergnone, Sarche, Vezzano and Calavino. The lake is found in a unique condition from a climatic point of view: while the nearby mountains show the typical characteristics of alpine areas, in the valley floor the action of the lake and the residues of the mild Garda climate allow the development of sub-Mediterranean species or even, in cultivation of Mediterranean species. Its vineyards are unique, producing high quality wines
