Luna Park - St Kilda, Melbourne 2024

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Located in the Melbourne suburb of St. Kilda, Luna Park is one of the oldest amusement parks in Australia. Seen in this video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Gizmo Drones, the park is situated on the shores of Port Phillip Bay, just a few mi./km south of the Melbourne CBD. The park, which employed some of the designers who helped to build New York City's Coney Island park, opened in 1912. Its Scenic Railway rollercoaster, which dates to the park's opening, is the oldest continuously-running rollercoaster in the world.

This video is about the iconic Luna Park in St Kilda, Melbourne. Built in 1912, it is the oldest theme park in Australia and the wooden Great Scenic Railway that surrounds the park is the main attraction.

It is difficult to safely film it with a drone while it is open, so I used The DJI Mavic 3 Pro and it's zoom cameras to catch the theme park action from afar and safely away from people and obstacles.

Filmed last Friday night, I also included shots of St Kilda beach and the KIIS Eye Ferris Wheel at Catani Gardens.
