Behold this magnificent aerial tour of Kenya, compliments of top contributor iDrone Aerials.  He was able to fly a drone over some of the top spots for seeing safari animals in this African nation: Masai Mara National Park on the Serengeti, Lake Nakuru National Park in the Rift Valley, Lake Naivashi, and the Amboseli National Park.  Watch it and you will see some incredible views of hippo's, zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, and more. Contributor and drone pilot Folklore Films treats us to an excellent aerial tour of the great East African country of Kenya.  The video opens with an aerial view of Kenya's Indian Ocean coastline before moving to the interior.  The production includes aerial views from across the country, with spectacular shots of some of the country's lakes, rivers, farms, and amazing rock formations.  The video also provides a look at the people and culture of Kenya, one of the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kenya lies in the eastern portion of Sub-Saharan Africa, on the equator.  With a population of nearly 50 million, it is an extremely diverse country with landscapes ranging from near-desert to vast grassland savannahs to tropical rainforests and Indian Ocean islands.  Contributor and drone pilot @riseaboveearth, who travels around the world to make promotional videos, used a combination of a DJI Inspire 2 drone and ground cameras to make this epic virtual tour of this fascinating African country.

An East African country that borders the Indian Ocean, Kenya is home to around 50 million people. Drone pilot Kukso66 compiled this stunning footage of the country and its wildlife over two years of living there. The places and animals he’s captured are truly astounding (a full list of which can be found in his description). Standout shots include Mount Kilimanjaro from Amboseli National Park, Karuru Waterfalls, and Hell’s Gate National Park as well as giraffes, elephants, zebra, rhinos, and more.

Forget Burning Man (the legendary music festival held in the desert of Nevada in the USA), how about the Burning Hand? Yes, you heard that right.  Contributor and drone pilot Dice Travels was in Kenya and was given the opportunity to film a truly epic New Years' Eve celebration in this African country.  As the title suggests, the highlight of this particular blowout was a giant hand made of straw which was set afire in a lake, music and lights a-blazing.  It's a truly unbelievable sight, especially when seen via a bird's eye view.

Contributor and pilot Xavier de Diego Perarnau created this stunning drone video of the northern part of the African nation of Kenya.  The country's northern region differs substantially from the more well known southern reaches, where most of the country's wild game preserves are located.  In contrast, Northern Kenya, which borders Ethiopia and Somalia, is a mountainous and desert country.  This video was chosen as a finalist for the 2016 Interdrone Film Festival in the Natural Wonders category.

Contributor and pilot Mr. Miko used his DJI Phantom 4 drone to record his travels to a lesser known part of the East African country of Kenya: its Indian Ocean coastline.  The eastern Kenyan coast is home to Mombasa, the country's second-largest city, as well as many smaller towns and beach communities.  This particular video was shot in the town of Kilifi, which is situated about two-third of the way down the country's  Indian Ocean coast.  It's situated just to the south of the larger town of Malindi.

Contributor and pilot Maurice Mbui continues his Kenya aerial series with this beautiful drone video of the Great Rift Valley in the southwestern part of the country.  The rift is part of the great East African Rift, one of the most important geological features of the continent.  Much of the video is shot around Lake Naivasha, a large freshwater body which is located near the Hells Gate National Park.  Famously, the giant park was the inspiration for the blockbuster Disney animated movie Lion King (1994).

Top contributor and drone pilot Global Air Media created this magnificent reel of Kenya, one of Sub-Saharan Africa's most important countries.  The video will give you a sense of the landscape and wildlife of this beautiful country, which was granted independence from the UK in the early 1960's.  Most of the video focuses on the country's vast wildlife preserves on the Serengeti, a vast grassland area which covers much of western Kenya and is home to large concentrations of safari animals.

Top contributor Maurice Mbui continues his series of drone explorations of Kenya with this magnificent video of Turkana, the  country's northeasternmost county.  Kenya's second largest county, Turkana sits on the western side of the Great Rift, the ridge system which runs north-south through western Kenya.  The video features outstanding aerial footage of rift formations, safari animals, and the massive Lake Turkana which forms the eastern border of the county and is the world's fourth largest salt lake.

Contributor and pilot Maurice Mbui is creating a series of drone videos showing off the great African nation of Kenya.  In this segment, he put together a stunning aerial tour of Marsabit County in the north central part of the country.  This is desert country (the Chalbi Desert) for the most part, punctuated with magnificent volcanoes and crater lakes.  The gigantic county covers over a territory of 65k square km (about 25k square miles) and is inhabited by fewer than 300,000 people as of 2018.

Nairobi is the largest city in Kenya and one of the five largest cities in Sub-Saharan Africa.  It's situated in the south central part of the country.  It was founded around the turn of the 20th century as a depot on the Ugandan Railway, a British colonial project which linked the interior of Africa to the Indian Ocean.  Today, Kenya has a population of over 4 million.  Many of these inhabitants live in abject poverty in vast urban slums, some of which you'll see from an aerial perspective in this drone video.

Contributor and pilot Dice Travels created this epic bird's eye view of a Maasai compound in Kenya.  The Maasai are a nomadic people who live in parts of Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa.  The walls of the compound are made from thorny branches of the acacia trees which are found in this part of the world.  The migratory travels of these people, and the uniqueness of their culture, has led to the Maasai being much studied by anthropologists around the world.  It's estimated that Kenya's Maasai population currently numbers about 850k.

In this third installment of contributor Maurice Mbui's "Kenya on Air" series, you'll get an aerial view of one of the country's Indian Ocean island territories.  Lamu Island is part of the eponymously named archipelago which lies off the northern part of the Kenya coast.  Accessible from the mainland by boat, Lamu has no roads.  It main town, also called Lamu, lies on its northeastern shore.  The islands had been part of Zanzibar but became part of Kenya when the country gained independence in 1963.

Get a bird's eye view of Nairobi, Kenya in this fantastic drone video by contributor dowhatev.  Situated on the eastern edge of the Rift Valley in the south-central part of the country, it's Kenya's capital and largest city.  Among the highlights is some fantastic footage of the Le'Mac, a 24 story distinctive looking structure which is situated in the Westlands Constituency district.  This is one of the most modern-looking parts of the city, which is the center of a metropolitan area of well over 6 million.

Among other things, Kenya is known for its spectacular wildlife.  It is home to some of the world's largest populations of species such as  lions, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros.  Unfortunately, some of these species are under pressure due to poaching and land encroachment.  Contributor Dice Travels put together this beautiful drone video of Kenya's elephants, which have suffered due to the demand for ivory.  Elephant hunting has been banned in Kenya since 1973 and carries severe penalties.

Ride along with contributor and drone pilot Kukso66 for an epic aerial tour of Kenya's Tsavo National Park, one of the most storied safari destinations in Africa.  The largest and oldest Kenyan park, it covers almost 14k square km (around 5k square mi.) in the southern part of the country.  The park is primarily covered in grasslands and savanna, and it's known throughout the world both for its stunning rock formations as well as for its large safari mammal population, notably the famous Tsavo Lions.

Contributor Kukso66 used drone and ground camera footage to create this video record of a trip to Kenya's  famous Maasai Mara game reserve.  It's situated in the southwestern part of the country, bordering Tanzania's Serengeti National Park.  The reserve covers just over 1.5k square km (around 580 square mi.).  It's home to a substantial large cat population, and is directly in the path of the annual Great Migration by which wildebeests, zebras, and related animals travel in and out of the Serengeti.

The East African country of Kenya is home to near 50 million people, making it one of the largest countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. The country borders Uganda to the west, Tanzania to the south, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the northeast, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast.  Kenya encompasses a variety of ecosystems including savannahs, lakelands, highlands, and the Great Rift Valley. Drone pilot Mr. Miko traveled the country he loves to show the world its beautiful landscape, people, and wildlife.
