Top contributor Panvelvet used the Chinese city of Shanghai as the backdrop for this epic drone film, shot over a period of 24 hours.  Filmed in a fully controlled environment, the video shows an actor standing atop several of the more prominent towers in this megalopolis, which as of the end of 2018 had over 150 buildings of at least 150 meters (about 480 ft.) in height, fourth amongst the world's cities.  This video was a 2nd Annual Drone Video Awards Winner in the Originality category.

Following a multi-decade boom, Shanghai (China's largest city) has one of the world's most impressive skylines.  With several skyscrapers topping 300m (1k ft), this city on the Yangtze River Delta has regained its once considerable role as a world city.  In this drone video, AirVuz contributor Mattcoq flies his DJI Phantom 4 Professional over China's largest city, including the Bund, the massive highways leading into the city center, and the Huangpu River, which divides the western side of the city from Pudong.

Top contributor Mattcoq created this gorgeous drone video of modern Shanghai, China, one of the world's largest and most impressive cities.  In one video, you'll be able to see many of the top sights of this metropolis on Yangtze River Delta including the Nanpu Bridge on the Huangpu River,, Shanghai Tower (the world's second tallest building as of early 2019), Shanghai World Financial Center, the Oriental Pearl Tower (whose ball-shaped observation deck is one of the city's most iconic sights), and more.

Contributor Mattcoq used a DJI Phantom 3 drone to create this remarkable aerial video of two of China's most famous bridges, both of which cross the Huangpu River in Shanghai.  The opening shot is of the 2003 vintage Lupu Bridge; its main spain of 550 meters (1.8k ft.) makes it the second longest arch bridge span in the world.  The latter part of the video shifts to the Yangpu Bridge; its unique design led it to appearing at the #9 spot on CNN's 2017 survey of the world's most amazing bridges.

By almost any measure, China has become the workshop of the world over the past several decades.  In heavy industries like steel, coal, and other types of metallurgy, its national production is multiples of the highest levels ever achieved by western countries.  In this video, Mattcoq gives us a drone's eye view of some of China's many smokestacks on the Yangtze River near Shanghai, the country's largest city, which lies on China's east (Pacific Ocean) coast.

Contributor Mattcoq used a drone to create this fascinating aerial video of a major urban redevelopment project in Shanghai, China's largest city.   Suzhou Creek is one of the waterways which passes through central Shanghai.  With China's rapid industrialization, the creek became terribly polluted.  As part of a gigantic environmental remediation project, thousands of "green" housing units have been built here, part of Shanghai's ongoing transition to a service-oriented economic base.

Contributor Alexaroundtheworld created this magnificent drone video of Shanghai, China.  The highlight of the video is a climb up to the top of the city's three tallest buildings, located right next to each other in the Pudong District: the 128 story, 632 meter (just under 2.1k) Shanghai Tower, opened in 2015; the Shanghai World Financial Center (2008, 492 m/1.6k ft.), and Jin Mao Tower (1999, 421 m/1.4k ft.).   The last was the filming location for a famous jump scene by Tom Cruise in  Mission: Impossible III (2006).

The most important river of Shanghai, China is actually not the Yangtze,  the country's longest river is not actually the defining river of Shanghai.  That title goes to the Huangpu River, a much shorter waterway which flows through central Shanghai from south to north and dividing the great city into Pudong (to the east) and Puxi (to the west) before emptying into the Yangtze.  In this video, you'll get a bird's eye look at this important waterway, compliments of contributor and drone pilot Mattcoq.

Contributor Panvelvet, who won a Drone Video Award in 2018 for his amazing video of Shanghai, China, created this amazing follow-up.  In a highly creative production, he edited footage of the great Chinese city into something almost otherworldly.  You will see this city intense commercial activity from an entirely new lens, with shots of some of the world's tallest skyscrapers and some of the world's most complex (and expensive) bridges intermixed with images of cars, airplanes, and other symbols of modernity.

German contributor aeronauten-tv.de created this beautiful nighttime drone video of the most well known view in Shanghai China: looking eastward from the Bund area over to the Pudong district on the eastern side of the Huangpu River.  This area was the site of one of the most intense (and poorly remembered) battle scenes of the 20th century: the Battle of Shanghai of 1937, in which Japanese and Chinese troops squared off on opposite sides of the river in the opening stages of what became World War II.

The Huángpǔ River is a 70-mile-long river that traverses through Shanghai, China. It is the last significant tributary of the Yangtze River (China's longest waterway) before she empties into the belly of the South China Sea (an extension of the Pacific Ocean). It is easy to see its power and importance in this drone video by Mattcoq. His Mavic 2 Pro shows the flowing river as it winds its way through mainland China's most important financial center and its second largest city after Beijing.

Talk about an epic drone selfie!  In this remarkable drone video by contributor Chernobro, you will see the great Chinese city of Shanghai from an entirely new perspective.  Under carefully controlled conditions, he climbed to the top of a tower overlooking the city and filmed himself with a drone.  The drone circles him, and as you watch you will see some of the world's tallest buildings in the background, the tallest being the World Financial Center, the 2nd highest skyscraper on earth as of early 2019.
