Located in the southwest corner of South Africa, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans join, Cape Town is often characterized as the most beautiful city in the world. Lying on a peninsula in the shadow of Table Mountain, the city's near-ideal weather makes it a magnet for outdoors-seekers from around the world. Whether it's hiking in the hills, climbing some of the world's most amazing rock formations, hitting some of the world's most well known surfing spots, whale watching, or kiteboarding (for which it is the #1 city according to Webworktravel), the city and its surrounding area offers a level of physical beauty which is unmatched anywhere. These drone videos represent some of the best aerial views of Cape Town on AirVuz. Consider it an invitation to visit this magical city. Due to ocean currents and weather patterns, the South African city Cape Town offers a veritable cornucopia of marine mammal life. In this amazing drone video, AirVyuz contributor and pilot Naudewasheresuper used a drone to film a pod of hundreds of dolphins swimming near a kayaker in Camp's Bay, part of the waters surrounding Cape Town. This is the spot where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet and mix, acting as a magnet for dolphins. The seeming synchronization of their motion is hypnotizing.

South Africa's Table Bay is so named because it sits in the shadow of Table Mountain, above the great city of Cape Town near the southern tip of the country. Due to its location very close to the border between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, the Table Bay has always sported a wide diversity of marine life. AirVuz contributor and pilot Exclusive Aerials flew a DJI Phantom 4 drone over the bay and created this impressive drone film of whales and dolphins passing through these waters during seasonal migration.

Cape Town owes its existence to being on a decent natural harbor at a critical point on the African coast, near where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean. While the junction is technically at Cape Agulcas, at the southern tip of the country, the symbolic meeting point is at the tip of the Cape of Good Hope. The cape is a long peninsula which extends south of Cape Town and forms the western side of False Bay. Top contributor Luke Maximo Bell used a DJI Phantom 3 Pro drone to create this amazing aerial view of this mythical spot.

Camps Bay is the most important of the several bays which line the coast of South Africa: on its southern side lies the great city of Cape Town. AirVuz contributor and pilot WhattoDo used a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone to fly over this body of water on a typically sunny South African day. The result is a stunning aerial look at angry Atlantic waves crashing against a majestic shoreline. The bird's eye views of the coast suggest why this is considered to be one of the most fashionable areas of greater Cape Town.

This epic video by ProCinemaFX confirms two things: (1) Cape Town is one of the world's most beautiful cities and (2) when its footage is properly shot and color graded, the DJI Mavic Pro can hold its own against much larger drones. The video shows the gorgeous city on the Cape of Good Hope from several angles, with particular focus on its port. The Port of Cape Town is one of the most important in Africa; it's second in container traffic to Durban but the country's largest for dry bulk freight.

By many estimations, South Africa's Cape Town is the most beautiful city in the world. In this video, contributor Vaughan Wilson makes a good case for this argument. In a brilliant drone video, he gives us a bird's eye view of this amazing city on the South Atlantic Ocean, near the fabled Cape of Good Hope, and overlooked by the spectacular Table Top Mountain. The video also provides some amazing views of some of the lesser known areas just outside of the great city, the second-largest in South Africa after Johannesburg.

With one of the world's most delightful climates, South Africa's Cape Town is generally not associated with snowcover. That's what is so amazing about this drone video from top AirVuz contributor and pilot LukeMaximoBell, who managed to use a drone to capture this stunningly beautiful city after a rare snowstorm. While the snow occurred in the areas of higher elevation around the city rather than right on the coast, it's still a very rare sight and one which is amazing from a bird's eye perspective.

AirVuz contributor and pilot Capestorm used a DJI Phantom 4 drone to create this beautiful aerial video of two of the most well known sights in South Africa's Cape Town. Hout Bay is a body of water formed by the Cape Peninsula, which lies a bit to the south of the centre of Cape Town. Chapman's Peak is a mountain which lies on the Cape Peninsula itself. The location for Cape Town's large annual bike race and marathon, it's one of the most iconic sights in all of South Africa and indeed the entire continent.

Much of the beauty of Cape Town, South Africa derives from its mountains, the three most prominent of which (in decreasing height order) are Table Mountain, Lion's Head, and Signal Hill. While Signal Hill's altitude is a modest 350 meters (1.15k ft.), it offers stunning views of the other two mountains as well as of the city itself. See for yourself in this amazing drone video by LukeMaximoBell, which was shot from the top of Signal Hill, which sits just south of the Green Point neighborhood.

Among the many charms of Cape Town, South Africa are its surfing beaches. This city near the southern tip of Africa is very near the spot where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans come together. This, plus some of the unique geology of the region, makes for some of the world's best surfing spots. One of these is Big Bay, which sits near the town of Bloubergstrand, a short drive north of central Cape Town. In this drone video by Exclusive Aerials, you'll get a bird's eye view of this epic surfing scene.

The “reveal shot” is a favorite amongst cinematographers. Defined as a shot that gives the audience a wider view and is useful for showing direction that a subject is moving towards, or revealing to the audience elements outside of the boundaries of a subject’s awareness. Dronies taken in epic locations make the reveal shot simple for anyone with a steady hand and a drone, just like this dronie taken from Camps Bay, South Africa. The bay is one of a series which lies just south of Cape Town.
