The Sea Turtle nesting season in SE Florida typically hits a peak around the end of June. There aerial views show the further buildup of Sea Turtle tracks on the beach after a busy night. According to Loggerhead Marinelife Center, the number of nests they are recording in their 9.5-mile survey area are booming. On July 2, their research team documented a record 575 nests in a single day on local beaches. It has been a super busy nesting season to date. To date, over 18,000 nests have been identified by trained staff and volunteers, and this year looks to break a new record high mark. This video also captures the turtles swimming offshore along with other marine life nearby!
