California Superbloom: Hurricane Canyon in the Temblor Range

My friend said...."Go to Hurricane Canyon.  The flowers are spectacular.  But be sure to have a high clearance vehicle."  He was right on both counts.  As you will see...it's a one lane dirt road but with two-way traffic.  Backing up to let a oncoming vehicle pass is no trivial task.

The area is on the east side of the Carrizo Plain, which has been noted for this years superbloom that was visible from space. This was shot in late April, a little past the peak of the bloom.

A Mavic 3 Cine and an Avata were used for the video.  The first 35 seconds are Mavic 3, the rest is Avata.  I was pleasantly surprised at the compatibilty of the look of the two...
