Check out these magnificent first person view (FPV) drone views of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy by top AirVuz contributor Mauro Pagliai.  One of the great landmarks of the Antiquity, the great open-air stadium was built in the first century AD and could hold up to 80k spectactors.   Its uses included gladiator contests, executions, re-enactments of military battles, and dramatizations of Roman mythology.  In 2007, the Colosseum was picked as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This video was a DVOW Finalist.

Top AirVuz creator and FPV pilot Mauro Sciambi brings us this stunning video - a nominee for 2023 FPV Drone Video of the Year - in which he flies his FPV quad through the roof of the Pantheon, one of the great landmarks of Rome.  Originally a Roman temple, the great structure dates to the reign of the emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD; it was converted to a Christian church in the 7th century AD.  Considered one of the best-preserved relics of the Roman Empire, it's the burial place of numerous artists as well as two Kings of Italy.

You may have seen drone video of France's Mont Saint-Michel, the tidal island which lies off the coast of Normandy.  However, you've probably never seen anything like this first-person view (FPV) video of the great 8th-century monastery-fortress which sits atop the island, compliments of contributor and FPV pilot Fincky.  He used an FPV racing quad to create a highly cinematic view of one of France's most iconic sites, it's no wonder why this video earned a nomination in the Cinematic FPV category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF.

To see the power of cinematic first-person view (FPV) video, check out this stunning piece from the ruins of ancient Rome by former Drone Video Award winner Druno.  He was able to fly his FPV quadcopter through the Forum, the heart of Imperial Rome, and one of the world's most famous archaeological sites.  Opening with a shot of the Colosseum, he heads into the great public square immediately to its northwest (between the Colosseum and the Pantheon), which was the heart of the Roman Republic and later Imperial Rome.

The desert kingdom of Dubai does everything big - among other superlatives, it's home to the world's tallest skyscraper, fastest rollercoaster, and the largest indoor theme park.  In 2021, it secured yet another honor by becoming home to the world's tallest observation wheel: the 820 ft. (250 m) Ain Dubai, which is situated on the artificial Bluewaters Island in the Marina District.  In this amazing video, you'll see the behemoth from the perspective of a first-person view (FPV) racing drone, compliments of FPV pilot 43lensfpv.

Located in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, the Great Mosque of Central Java can be seen by first person view (FPV) drone, courtesy of AirVuz contributor BanzaiFPV. The mosque covers 25 acres and has three central buildings arranged in the shape of a U with the domed mosque at the centre. In the central courtyard are six hydraulically operated umbrellas; closed in this video, they are used to protect worshipers from the rain or sun and represent the six tenets of iman. This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2019.

Get a rare look at a major Baltic Sea container port in this excellent first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot FPV_Aerials.  He was able to film the Port of Gdańsk, which lies along the Bay of Gdańsk, an inlet of the Baltic.  Poland's principal seaport and the economic engine of its fourth-largest metropolitan area, the port handles about two million containers per year and about 50 million tons of freight overall.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early March of 2022.

Top AirVuz content creator druno secured a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this epic FPV video of Italy's great Milan Cathedral.  Dedicated to the Nativity of Mary, construction of the great edifice began in 1386 but wasn't completed until the 1960's - nearly six centuries later.  With a length of 520 ft. (159 m) and a width of just over 300 ft. (about 90 m), it's the largest church in Italy and the second-largest in Europe: only Vatican City's Basilica of St. Peter and Brazil's Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida are larger.

Top contributor druno brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone fly-through of a well-known mansion in Central Italy.  It's called the Villa Farnese (not to be confused with the Palazzo Farnese in Rome), and it's a pentagon-shaped manor in Viterbo, one of the provinces of the Lazio region.  Considered one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture, the mansion was constructed in the 16th century by the powerful Farnese family.  It's now Italian state property and operated by the Museum Center of Lazio.

AirVuz contributor and FPV drone pilot Drone Huenchurs used a BetaFPV 85x with a "naked" GoPro to create this short but stunning FPV piece from one of the world's most recognized landmarks: the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.  The small "cinewhoop" style drone is the perfect platform to film the wrough-iron tower on the Champs de Mars  Constructed for the 1889 World's Fair, the 324 meter tower (1.08k ft.) was the world's tallest man-made structure for over four decades.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2020.

First person view (FPV) drone video footage is increasingly being incorporated into mainstream advertisements and promotional videos.  For a great example of this phenomenon, check out this fantastic piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot vitopulverenti.   He worked with the National Collegiate Athletic Association to create a promotional video for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.  He filmed the JW Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, host city of the storied tournament's "Final Four" games.

Drone pilot Nikofilmz found the planet's largest Chevron gas station in Las Vegas, Nevada and saw nothing but an excellent opportunity to rip it up (times 96, to be exact).  He and his friend @doctor.carter had their quadcopters, armed with a Go Pro Hero 6 and 8, ready for some killer air-to-air through the rows and around the station, making some FPV magic.  It looked like a gas, and we were pretty pumped, so we put Nikofilmz on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor and Drone Video Award Finalist Mauro Pagliai brings us this fantastic drone video of the famous Italian mountaintop fortress of Rocca Calascio.  The video includes some epic first-person view (FPV) drone footage of this great landmark, which is the highest fortress in the Apennine Mountains.    Dating to the 10th century AD, it's located in the province of L'Aquila, part of the Abruzzo region.   The video also includes footage of the Santa Maria della Pietà, a church which lies just below the fortress.

Check out this stunning first-person view (FPV) video of the great Portuguese city of Porto (Oporto), compliments of contributor and FPV pilot marcoantonio.media.  Shot at sunset, the "star" of the video is the Dom Luís I Bridge, the first in the city to span the Douro River.  The bridge was designed by French civil engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose name is affixed to the famous tower in Paris.  When the bridge opened in 1888, it was the world's longest metal arch bridge; its upper deck has a total length of 395 meters (just under 1.3k ft.).

This was the winning video in the 2nd Annual Drone Video Awards in the Cinematic FPV category and was FPV Video of the Year.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Mauro Sciambi brings us this excellent FPV tour of Olympic Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Initially opened in 1953 after a construction period of several decades (interrupted, in part, due to World War II), the facility was extensively renovated to serve as one of the main venues for the 1960 Summer Olympics (XVII Olympiad) held in August and September of that year.  It was further renovated to serve as the main stadium for the 1990 World Cup.  It currently seats about 70k fans.

Building upon the success and visibility he created with his landmark first person view (FPV) tour of the Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota, top contributor Jay Christensen headed to the northern part of the North Star State to make this epic FPV tour of a famous landmark: the Glensheet Mansion on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Duluth.  Dating to the early 1900's, the mansion was the site of the murder of wealthy heiress Elisabeth Congdon in 1977 for which her son-in-law was subsequently convicted in a celebrated trial.

Most of us have seen incredible drone footage of Germany's iconic  Neuschwanstein Castle, but never the likes of what first person view (FPV) pilot TimFeistner offers up in this video.  While the stunning landmark in Bavaria was closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, this skilled freestyler found a silver lining and used the opportunity to cruise around the castle and it's breathtaking environs. Diving the "fairy tale" spires, he gives us a tour that's most definitely not on the usual sightseeing agenda

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot craig_dt brings us this fantastic first person view  (FPV) drone video of a famous landmark of Moscow, Russia: the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (abbreviated as VDNK), a trade show venue and amusement park in the Ostankinsky District in the northeastern part of the city.  Designed as a "City of Exhibitions", the site opened in 1939.  The video features some excellent shots of the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman Statue, which was originally built for the 1937 World's Fair in Paris.

See one of the most popular and prominent attractions in the Crimean peninsula, the Genoese Fortress, in this Travel FPV video by craig_dt. It's located near Sudak, in the middle of Crimea's southeastern coastline.  Built in 1371, the fortress was a stronghold of the Soldayya colony with wall that was nearly 2 meters (6 ft.) thick. Craig_dt is also giving us an aerial tour of Mount Mithridat, a large hill located on the eastern Kerch Peninsula in Crimea. The view from the top of the hill is impeccable, stretching out as far as the shore.

Since it was completed in 1953, the Main Building of Moscow State University has been the most visible landmark in Moscow.  And yet, you've probably never seen this (rare) Stalinist architectural masterpiece from the perspective of a racing drone.  That's right.  Flying his racing quadcopter with first person view (FPV) goggles, Contributor Shelestpv took a dive down this massive structure, for decades the tallest building in Europe and still the world's tallest educational building.

Check out the Indonesian island paradise of Bali from an entirely new perspective in this first person view (FPV) video by contributor and FPV pilot Ryantlx.  He captured some epic FPV footage of this island in southern Indonesia using a TBS Crossfire racing drone.  The highlight of the clip is some footage of a giant copper and brass statue of the Hindu God Wisnu which was then under construction; taking five years to build at a cost of over US$100 million, it's believed to be the world's largest statue.

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Alessio Tricaico brings us this excellent drone video of one of the most well-known landmarks in Rome, Italy: Trevi Fountain.   Completed in the 18th century, the Baroque style fountain is situated just a few blocks from the Pantheon., in the Trevi District   Standing 86 ft. high (about 26 m), it's near the terminal point of one of the ancient aqueducts of ancient Rome.  It is widely considered to be one of the most famous water fountains in the world.

There is definitely "truth in advertising" in the title of this first person view (FPV) tour of Venice, Italy, compliments of contributor pilot tommasocodolo.  Using an FPV racing drone, he was able to fly over St. Marks's Square (Piazza San Marco) at one of the most unusual times in the city's centuries-old history: when it was virtually shut down in the Spring of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.  The video will show you one of Europe's most iconic spots virtually devoid of people, from the unique perspective afforded by a racing drone.

Located in Rudno, Poland the Tenczyn Castle is a medieval castle that was built as the seat of the once powerful Tęczyński family. The great landmark was completed in the early 14th century in the Polish Gothic-Polish Mannerism style.  Destroyed in the mid-17th century, it was rebuilt then fell to ruin after a fire in the mid-18th century.  Open to the public, it remains in a ruined state. You may have seen lots of drone videos of famous castles and fortress on AirVuz, but probably not many of them (if any) have been of the first person view (FPV) variety.  That's what makes this piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot littlewing fpv so special.  He was able to fly his racing quad out over Austria's Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the largest medieval fortifications in Europe.  The result is a one-of-a-kind view of this hilltop landmark which dates to the 11th century AD and is situated in the great city of Salzburg

Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas is one of the most important facilities for the USA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  It was constructed during the course of the Apollo program in the 1960's.  Amongst its 100+ buildings is the Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center, which directs all of NASA's manned space flights.  AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot beto.fpv earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2021 with this excellent FPV tour of the center.

Prepare to be blown away by this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) "tour" of an ancient ruins site in Libya, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Maim.sh.  Using an FPV-equipped racing quad, he created a one-of-a-kind view of Leptis Magna, an ancient ruins site near the town of Khoms, about 130 km (80 mi.) east of the city of Tripoli.  Founded by Phoenicians in the 7th century BC, the city came into the orbit of Carthage and later Rome.  A Vandal kingdom after the Fall of Rome, it was abandoned in the 7th century AD.

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of Russia's famous Peter and Paul Fortress, compliments of Shamkhal_fpv.  The complex sits on its own island near the mouth of the Neva River in the heart of St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city.  It was established in the early 18th century by Tsar Peter the Great, who built his namesake city to replace Moscow as Russia's capital.  Originally constructed to defend from an attack by Sweden from the north which never materialized, it went on to serve as a prison for nearly 200 years.

Get a unique aerial perspective of one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot why.fpv.  The subject of the video is the Samarinda Islamic Center Mosque, which is located in the province of East Kalimantan, on the eastern side of the giant island of Borneo.  Distinguished by its six minarets, the mosque has a ground floor area of about 468k square ft. or around 43.5k square meters.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2021.

Former DVOW Finalist zippomaker created this fantastic first person view (FPV) video of a landmark in Rome, Italy: the worldwide headquarters for the Fendi fashion house.  The building is called Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, and it's located in the EUR District south of central Rome.  It was constructed on the orders of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini as a monument to the planned 1942 World Expo, which never occurred due to World War II.  The building was left in a state of disrepair until it was renovated  by Fendi in the mid-2010's.

Drone Video Award Winner Druno brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) "cinewhoop" style drone video from a famous castle in Central Italy.  It's a great example of how these micro-drones with HD cameras are able to give one-of-a-kind views by being suitable for both outdoor and indoor flight.  Watch how he tours the exterior of this 16th century in the province of Lazio, then at the :30 cruises right through an open window to take a spin around the inside of the house.  It's all in HD video quality, and it's an amazing watch.

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot TreeFPV brings us this highly cinematic FPV view of the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  Shot with just a single LIPO pack, the video will give you a unique perspective on the city's main outdoor arena as well as its grounds.  Built as part of a 90's upgrade of all of the city's sports facilities, Pepsi Center is the home of the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball League and the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.  It seats 19.5k fans for basketball.

This one is quite the flight by Russell FPV. A little bit smooth flow, a little bit jagged, cutting technique mixed with such a weird opening location. Weird, but in a very cool way. He flies around a massive statue that includes a figure skater, ski jumper, and snowboarder on a rainbow statue, then rips through what appears to be an abandoned park. Is it abandoned or just empty for the season? Was it once an Olympic host or does it just seem like one? The mystery that surrounds this flight makes it that much better.

Contributor and drone pilot SustoFPV flew his racing drone via first person view (FPV) over the waters at the southern tip of the Japanese island Honshu near Itsukushima Shrine; this landmark is the only shrine in the world to have been built over surface of the sea and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The breathtaking film shows off the shrine from every angle (like only an FPV drone can) was a finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest and has been a favorite amongst viewers.

With most of the world's tallest skyscrapers having been tackled by first-person view (FPV) pilots, attention turns to other types of tall structures.  Like churches.  In this epic FPV piece, AirVuz contributor minidrone.studio uses his mini-drone to take on the world's tallest church.  It's the Ulm Minster, and it's located in its namesake city in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg.  The church dates to the Middle Ages, although its steeple didn't reach its current height of 161.5 meters (530 ft. ) until the 19th century.

New AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot DomsDigitals created this incredible FPV tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the famous Indianapolis 500 race.  Considered the largest sports venue in the world, with capacity for a quarter million spectactors, the track is about 10 km (around 6 mi.) west of downtown Indianapolis.  Cars racing around the 2.5 mi. circuit (4 km) reach speeds of over 230 mph (about 400 km/hr) on the straightaway sections and can sustain in excess of 5g's on the track's curved sections.

Prepare to be amazed by FPV drone view of one of the great landmarks of nothern Italy: Saint Michael's Abbey (Sacra di San Michele).   The video was created by AirVuz contributor FPVFlow using a DJI Mavic 3 gimbal-stabilized drone to set up the FPV shots.  Located in the Susa Valley about a half hour drive west of the city of Turin, the main church of the monastery dates to the 12th century.  Famously, it provided the inspiration for Umberto Eco's 1980 debut novel the Name of the Rose, one of the all-time bestselling books in history.

Viewers of the French TV game show Fort Boyard will likely recognize the subject of this fantastic first person view (FPV) video by FPV pilot R-project.   The show, which began in 1990 and is widely syndicated around the world, is set and filmed at this defensive fortification in the strait of Pertuis d'Antioche, between the cities of La Rochelle and Rochefort.  While a fortress was considered here during the reign of Louis XIV in the 17th century, its construction didn't begin until the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801.

Top AirVuz contributor Clark Lupton brings us this fantastic drone video of one of the most well-known landmarks of the city of Charleston, South Carolina: the Pineapple Fountain in Waterfront Park.  The park runs along the city's waterfront on the Cooper River.  Opened in 1990, it sits on land which had formerly been part of the city's seaport but which had fallen into disuse as newer port facilities were built upriver.  In 2007, the park received the Landmark Award from the  American Society of Landscape Architects.

For a first upload to AirVuz new contributor striker_fpv brings us this rather stunning first person view (FPV) video of a modern landmark in the city of Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.  The bridge-shaped building called Pasan marks the convergence of the  Ping and Nan Rivers to form the Chao Phraya, Thailand's most important waterway, which flows south from this central province to its mouth on the Gulf of Thailand near Bangkok.  This video earned a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in April of 2021.

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a famous Italian monastery in this excellent piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Alessio Tricarico.  It's called the Abbey of San Galgano, and it's located in the province of Siena, in the southeastern part of Tuscany region.  The abbey, whose (now roofless) church dates to the 13th century, was founded by the Order of Cistercians, an offshot of the Order of St. Benedict.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.

Get a unique perspective of an island fortress near Amsterdam in the Netherlands with this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor Drone&Zo.  The artificlal Pampus Island is located in the IJmeer, just north of the Amsterdam suburb of Muiden.  The fortification was built as part of the Amsterdam Defense Line (Stelling van Amsterdam) which was constructed beginning in 1880 and made extensive use of natural waterlines.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2023.

Check out this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video of one of the USA's most iconic lighthouses, compliments of brand-new AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot TaylorMatos.   It's called Portland Head Light, and it's located on Cape Elizabeth on the coast of Maine in New England.  The oldest lighthouse in the state, it was completed in 1791.  Still operational (although automated),  the lighthouse has a focal height of just over 100 ft. (31 m).  It's been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1973.

Changchun is one of the northernmost cities in China: at a latitude of about 44 degrees, it's about as far north as the northernmost tier of US states.  Capital of the province of Jilin on the Northeast China Plain, Changchun has a bone-chilling winter season, with an average January temperature of -15 degrees Celsius (about -5 degrees F).  Plenty cold to keep an "ice city" well-frozen, as you will see in this amazing first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot bungoss.

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of a famous landmark in Austria, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot janwido.  He used an FPV mini-drone to film Hochosterwitz Castle, which sits atop a giant rock overlooking the countryside in the southern state of Carinthia.  The structure dates to as early as the 9th century.  The castle was heavily fortified in the 16th century to protect against the threat of invasion by the Ottoman Turks.  It's one of the top historical attractions in southern Austria.

Take a tour of one of the great landmarks of Istanbul, Turkey in this fantastic first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot ucarakkesfet.  It's called Sultanahmet Square, and in pre-Ottoman times it was called the Hippodrome of Constantinople.  The original square dates to Roman times, when the city was known as Byzantium.  It took on much of its present shape during the reign of Constantine, when it became the center of social life in the city as a circus.  At one point, its stands could hold up to 100k spectators.

Take a first person view (FPV) tour of a famous monastery in Russia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Shkrebiy.  The Pskov-Pechory Monastery is located in the town of Pechory in the northwestern oblast (province) of Pskov.  The Russian Orthodox monastery was founded in 15th century, and took on its current form in the 16th century when it was also fortified due to its location on Russia's western borderlands.  It's one of a very few Russian monasteries which never closed during the Soviet period.
