Prepare to be astounded by this magnificent first person view (FPV) drone video from Indonesia by award-winning contributor Timelab.pro.   The video opens with some jaw-dropping shots of the Mt. Bromo volcano complex in the province of East Java.  Starting at about the 1:00 mark, you'll soar over the famous Sekumpul Waterfall in the interior of the island of Bali.  Other highlights include a skimming run along the Bali coastline (2:08), a flyover of Bali's satellite island of Nusa Penida (3:30), and more.  

Just as Iceland has become something of a magnet for adventuresome first person view (FPV) drone pilots, the much larger (but far less-traveled) island of Greenland is coming onto the collective radar of the worldwide FPV community.  In this stunning piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Benjamin_Fpv, you'll see why.  The video was filmed over Scoresby Sound, which is located about midway down Greenland's eastern coast and which is home to a system of fjords.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2022.  

Johnny and the Beautiful Destinations team traveled to Cappadocia, Turkey to capture this area often filmed by influencers and camera drone pilots, but rarely by FPV. The film features the region's most recognizable visuals: hot air balloons, the 'fairy tale' rock formations, wild horses, and stone-built towns. While there, they experienced high temps, snow, and rain, giving the impression this was filmed over months, not days. This incredible video won in the Landscape category of the 6th Annual NYCDFF.

Johnnyfpv is the undisputed king of the emerging art form known as cinematic first-person view.  In contrast to freestyle FPV or competitive FPV racing, with cinematic FPV the pilot's goal is to maximize the visual impact of the video captured. In this he has succeeded spectacularly; his work has appeared in TV commercials, music videos, and feature movies, and he has one of the largest social media followings of any drone pilot.  This video earned a nomination in the Cinematic FPV category at the NYCDFF.

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video from a trip to the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Orbi_FPV.  One of the first sequences is from a flight through the Corinth Canal, which turned the Peloponnese from a peninsula into an island when it was cut through the Isthmus of Corinth in the late 1800's.  Other featured spots include the Dmitrios shipwreck in Laconia, the lighthouse at the tip of Cape Matapan, and more.    

Explore the USA's Pacific Northwest via FPV drone in this fantastic trip video by loganlien.  The video was filmed in various coastal and interior locations in Oregon and northern California.  Starting at the :23 mark, you'll dive Multnomah Falls, on the Columbia River Gorge near the Oregon/Washington border.  At around the :50 mark, you'll see the redwood trees of Prairie Creek in California's Humboldt County.  Other highlights include California's Sue-meg State Park (1:10), Oregon's Silver Lake State Park (1:24), and more.  

With its wide-open space and highly unusual (and visually amazing) natural scenery, Iceland has become something of a magnet for talented first person view (FPV) drone pilots.  One of the latest FPV trip videos is this amazing piece by AirVuz contributor and pilot chrissbergan.  The video features some incredible footage tearing through a canyon, and at around the :38 mark you'll fly under the Dyrhólaey rock arch on Iceland's southern coast.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2021.

Take a tour of Europe by first person view (FPV) racing drone in this fantastic piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot FrankyMoiss.  The video will take you across the great continent, with footage from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark, and Finland.  Specific locations include the great Cathedral of Milan, Italy; the sail-shaped Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg, Germany; the canals of Copenhagen, Denmark, and more.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2021.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner haussmannvisuals has been in the forefront of aerial videographers who have learned to pilot first person view (FPV) drones.  In this amazing video, he puts his considerable piloting and content creation skills to work on a trip to the northern part of Norway.  The video was filmed over the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago just above the Arctic Circle, and the island of Senja, which lies well to the north.  The piece combines FPV footage with shots from a DJI Mavic Pro 2.  

Take in these stunningly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone views from across France in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Shikijo.  Created using a combination of gimbal-stabilized drone and FPV quad footage, the video will take you over natural scenes in one of the world's most beautiful countries.  You'll be treated to some epic mountain surfing and cliff-diving shots, cruise over the French coast, fly over quaint valleys, and more.  This video was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in August, 2021.  

Contributor and FPV pilot Sharpwest created this unbelievable video from China's Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the Hunan Province.  China's first national park, it's known for its gigantic stone (quartzite) pillars.  Famously, these pillars (in computer-enhanced form) were used as the primary backdrop for James Cameron's epic sci-fi blockbuster Avatar (2009), by considerable margin the highest grossing movie of all time.  In this video, you'll see them from the perspective of an FPV racing drone!    

Explore the Veneto region of northeastern Italy by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic FPV travel piece by top AirVuz contributor b1z1o_fpv.  The video features footage from the cultural treasure of Venice (including the famed St. Mark's Basilica, the Cortina d'Ampezzo ski area in the Dolomite Mountains, the commune of Valeggio sul Mincio and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Corona in the province of Verona, Lake Garda (Italy's largest lake), and more.  This video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in November, 2021.

Explore the storied region of Tuscany in western Italy with this amazing first person view (FPV) drone video by top AirVuz contributor and pilot SirM Productions.  The video features footage from the Val d'Orcia in the southern part of the province of Siena; the town of Pienza, located within the Val d;Orcia; the Crete Senesi region, immediately south of the city of Siena; Agriturismo Baccoleno, a town in the hills of Crete Sinesi; and more.  Most of the footage was captured during the "Golden Hour" around sunset.

Explore Thailand by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and pilot Wisso FPV, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in April of 2022.  The video features footage from the great metropolis of Bangkok; the great cultural center of Ayutthaya, about an hour's drive north of Bangkok; Maya Bay, the cove made famous as a filming location for the movie "The Beach"; and the Phi Phi Islands, in the Malacca Strait just to the southeast of Phuket.  

The shoreline surrounding Los Cabos, Mexico, has never looked so good. Brought to us by first person view (FPV) pilot soropeza, this video showcases just why the resort town is such a popular destination. Also known as Cabo San Lucas, it is known for it water-based activities, nightlight, and the incredible open beaches surrounded by intricate cliffs - all of which can be seen here in HD quality. For his efforts, soropeza was rewarded with a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in November of 2019. 

Prepare to be amazed by this first person drone video from the giant African island of Madagascar, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot JUILIEN OLIVA.  Located in the western Indian Ocean, Madagascar is known for its tropical jungles, unique trees and rock formations, and beautiful beaches, all of which can be enjoyed from a new perspective in this video.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in mid-November of 2021.  The video was filmed with a GoPro Hero 6 action camera.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning first person view (FPV) drone travel video from the mountains of northern India, compliments of contributor and pilot digitally.  The video was shot in the region of Ladakh, which lies in the far northern part of the country and which is part of the historical region of Kashmir that is shared with neighboring Pakistan and China.  Ladakh is essentially a plateau which is surrounded by the  Himalayan and Karakoram Mountains.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2022.      

Explore the Greek island of Crete from the perspective of a first person view (FPV) drone in this amazing piece by top AirVuz content creator Jturner.  Featured locations include the city of Chania with its old Venetian port, which lies on the island's northwestern coast; Balos Beach, which lies on a peninsula west of Chania; the small town of Paleochora, on the southern coast; Gialiskari Beach; Loutro; Agia Roumeli; Knossos Palace; and Skinaria Beach near Plakias.  This was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in September, 2021.  

First person view (FPV) pilots are increasingly turning to travel videos, which allow us to see coveted destinations from the novel perspective of an FPV mini-quad.  This outstanding piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot George FPV is a great example of this phenomenon.  The piece includes some incredibly cinematic shots from across the country, often considered to be the world's most beautiful.  Flying like a bird over waterfalls and alpine lakes, he earned himself a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2020.  

As first person view (FPV) pilots increasingly travel around the globe with their racing drones, we're starting to see some of the world's most remote locations from an entirely new perspective.  Case in point is this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot n00b_fpv.  He ventured to the territory of Buryatia in Russia's Far East region.  Here he managed to film a spot near the city of Ulan-Ude which is referenced in the epic Central Asian poem about King Gesar which is believed to date to the 12th century.

Traveling across South Africa, AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Terrorbirb brings us this excellent FPV video from a trip to South Africa.  THe video starts off cruising some of the country's famous beaches, it's on to a variety of parks and fields where he’ll impress with his tree proximity skills. Then, it’s back to the beach for some golden hour coastal FPV.  Destinations in this video include Cape Town, Durban, and Drakensburg. This video earned him a Pilots to Watch nod in June of 2019.

Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) video from the French coast, compliments of AirVuz contributor Raphael Rablat.  The video was shot around the sand dunes near Biville in the Manche, the westernmost of the five departments of the region of Normandy.  The town lies on the western tip of the Cotentin Peninsula (also sometimes called the Cherbourg Peninsula), the landmass which forms the eastern side of the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.  This video earned our contributor a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Check out this stunning first person view (FPV) video from one of the most famous spots in New Zealand, compliments of FPV pilot smontlouis.  It was shot in the Tongariro National Park, which is located in the middle of the North Island.  The oldest national park in the country and only the sixth park in the world to be so designated by its national government, Tongariro is known for its three active volcanoes and their crater lakes.  For his efforts, our contributor earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2019.

The famed Jeju Island in the South Korean province of the same name has proven to be a first person view (FPV) drone video paradise for AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Jay FPV. He makes use of every geographic feature to show off his extreme flying skills.  Watch as he cruises along the jagged shoreline, dives down the craggy cliffs, and chases along the walking trails to give us all a cinematic experience worthy of giving him his first placement on our FPV Pilots to Watch list, in February 2020.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Raphael Rablat put together this fantastic reel of some of his best drone footage from his home country, France.  The video features footage from the length and breadth of this giant Western European country, from the snow-covered peaks and canyons of the French Alps, to the rocky ridges overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the southern part of the country, to the cliffs of Etretat in Normandy.  This video was selected for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2020.

Portugal is at the tip of the Iberian Peninsula in Europe, bordering Spain and the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean has had a major influence on the culture there; from salt cod and grilled sardines, to the tourism that is brought in by the beautiful, extensive beaches and the maritime empire that was built to come to the New World from the 1500’s - 1800’s. Fornell FPV shows us the beautiful, rough shoreline of Portugal in this drone video, which was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2019.

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of the French island of Corsica by talented content creator and FPV pilot Escape FPV.  The fourth-largest island in the Mediterranean by land area, France's Corsica offers some of the most rugged natural beauty to be found in Europe.  The video will take you along the island's legendary coastline and interior mountains; you'll also be treated to some nice paraglider chase footage.   This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2021.  

Talented AirVuz content creator and first person view (FPV) drone pilot coolguy.fpv brings us this excellent travel FPV video from the island of Puerto Rico.  The video features excellent FPV footage from the coast as well as the interior of the island, which is a territory of the United States.  Some of the most amazing shots are from cruising along a stream in the rainforest which covers much of the interior of the island.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2021.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first-person view (FPV) pilot Nicolas Gaillard accompanied legendary traveler Tom Jauncey on an epic trip to Hawaii, producing this spectacular FPV record of the trip.  Using a highly cinematic filming and post-production style, the video does a fabulous job of showing the natural beauty of the island of Oahu from an entirely new perspective.  There's something for everybody in this amazing piece - coastal cruising along the shoreline, mountain surfing ridge diving through cloudcover, and more.

Check out this amazing video from Vietnam, which combines footage from a DJI Mavic Air as well from a first person view (FPV) racing drone.  Beautifull edited, the video covers several different locations in this Southeast Asian country: Cat Cat Village in the northwestern Lào Cai Province; Sa Pa, one of the main market towns in Lào Cai; and the magnificent HaLong bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the country's northeastern coastline which is famous for its gigantic karst limestone miniature islands.  

The Canadian province of British Columbia is well known for its incredible landscapes. The west coast is defined by the Pacific Ocean, while the Canadian Rocky Mountains spread throughout its boundaries. AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot airblastr is well-versed in traversing mountainsides, but these locations are next level. The port city of Cape Town South Africa’s southwest coast is famous for its dynamic terrain and beautiful beaches; not surprisingly, it's widely considered to be the world's most beautiful city.  Contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot SherlockFpv shot this 4K video throughout Cape Town’s majestic landscape covering its winding roads that look over the city, the sandy coastline and surfers catching the waves, BMX bikers nailing jumps, the vast desert and so much more. The French Riviera, aka Côte d’Azur, is one of the most breathtaking areas in the world. Located along the Mediterranean coastline in the southeastern corner of France the area was one of the first modern resort destinations. Its rolling hills, majestic waters, and idyllic towns are what make it so magical. For FPV pilot Escape Fpv, it’s the landscape in the French Riviera that drew him there and enabled him to create this cinematic flight, a flight that made him an FPV Pilots to Watch in April of 2019.

Explore the tropical paradise known as Réunion Island by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic travel video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Nomad_Horizons.  An overseas department of France, Réunion is located in the western Indian Ocean, about 340 mi. (around 550 km) east of Madagascar and about 110 mi. (around 175 km) southwest of Mauritius.  The video was mainly filmed in the area of Tremblet, in the southeastern part of the island.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in mid-September, 2021. 

Former DVOW winner backpackpassion brings us this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video from northern Austria.  The video was filmed in the Salzkammergut, also known as the Austrian Lake District, which extends east from Salzburg into the state of Upper Austria and is home to some of the most popular resort areas in Central Europe.  The featured locations in the video include Schiederweiher, Langbathsee, Signalkogel, Hochleckenhaus and Loser.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Cape Town, South Africa is not-infrequently cited as the world's most beautiful city.  What better place then for a ten day first person view (FPV) trip to explore its stunning environs, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.  In this outstanding piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot FRYFPV, you'll see captivating Cape Town from an entirely new perspective, as you soar in an FPV mini-drone over its bays and surrounding mountains.  This video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in June of 2021.  

The Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan is home to some of the earth's most remote territory.  In this video by kalash.fpv, you'll get a rare first person view (FPV) drone view of the country, which was part of the Soviet Union until its dissolution in the early 1990's.  THe video was filmed near the capital city of Bishek, which is situated in the northern part of the country, near the border with Kazakhstan.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October of 2022.

When legendary first person view (FPV) drone pilot JohnnyFPV says he has a video that features his craziest FPV experience, you know it is going to be incredible.  In this epic and highly cinematic FPV freestyle video, he takes on the region of Cappadocia in central Turkey.   The area is famous for its fairy tale chimneys and the hot air balloons which fly over them, but you've likely never seen it from this perspective.  This epic, 4K, sixty-second piece is just a teaser for the full-length video he plans to release.

While the fabled Côte d'Azur of Southern France is perhaps best known for its famous seaside resort towns, it's also home to some of the most unusual natural scenery of Western Europe.  Along the Mediterranean coast are stunning ravines, steep-walled inlets known as calanques, and other unusual formations.  And what better way to experience these magnificent scenes of nature than with a FPV drone?  Top contributor Drone My Life shows us the way with this excellent piece, picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2021.  

Get a unique perspective of Croatia's famed Dalmatian Coast in this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Flystream.  The video was shot near the town of Omiš, a port town on the Adriatic Sea, and the outlying island of Vis.  Both lie near the center of the Dalmatian Coast, which runs roughly from Zadar in the north to the border with Montenegro in the south.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2021.

Brand-new AirVuz contributor airflex production spent six weeks traveling through France to create this magnificent first person view (FPV) aerial "Tour de France".  Beautifully edited, this highly creative piece features epic FPV shots from around this giant West European country, ranging from historic bridges to mountain ridges, forests, statue parks, and the stunning blue waters of the Mediterranean coastline.  He also skillfully mixes in shots taken from a gimbal-stabilized drone.  Highly creative, it's well worth a watch.  

FPV pilot Smontlouis packed his quad on his trip to the breathtaking and inviting Seychelles, and we're pretty grateful.  From the impressive yachts to the rugged yet lush shoreline, he treats us all to the most picturesque sites from this top travel destination. He even lets us hear the lapping waves at 2:00; at 3:17 we get to hold our breath has he flies through the narrowest of gaps in the rocky landscape. For all of this and more, he's on our FPV Pilot to Watch list again in January 2020. 

Check out the sights and sounds of Turkey from a first person view (FPV) perspective) in this excellent piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot beecopter.  Opening with a shot flying through a yawning canyon, the action then transitions to an indoor fly-through of a factory, a shot of a paraglider, and a flyby of one of the great mosques of Istanbul.   Other shots will take you through a construction site, under an old viaduct, and around other spots in Istanbul.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May, 2021.

New contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot dronic.fpv brings us this outstanding travel video from Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands.  Created using both FPV footage and "establishing" shots with a gimbal-stabilized drone, the video will take you over and around this fascinating land, which is located about 185 mi. Take a ride through the desert of southern Israel in this amazing first person view (FPV) piece by talented AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot EvyaFPV.  The desert runs on a roughly north-south axis, roughly parallel to the Dead Sea, in the eastern part of the country.  Opening with a "swoop" down over a white roofed village, the video features footage from the region of Arava as well as the area around Timna Park.  This video earned EvyaFPV a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in January, 2021.  

Experience the beauty of Vietnam by drone in this excellent video by Wissofpv.  Created primarily with first person view (FPV) quads, the video opens with shots of Ho Chi Minh City, including an epic FPV dive down the Landmark 81, Vietnam's tallest skyscraper as of 2023.  Then you'll head to the northern part of the country, to the Ninh Bình area on the Red River Delta.  At about the 1:27 mark, you'll see the islands of Ha Long Bay.  Other highlights include the Golden Bridge (1:45) and Lady Buddha (2:24) in Da Nang in Central Vietnam.

The Indian Ocean island nation of the Maldives is known for its thousands of tiny islands, some of which have been converted to private resorts.  What better way to see this emerging form of high-luxury travel than with a first person view (FPV) drone?  Top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot MANUEL BASSIL | MANUX | MR FPV shows the way with this stunning piece, which was filmed at the Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island resort.  The island is reachable by ferry or seaplane from the nearby main island of Malé.  

Explore the beautiful Caribbean island of Curaçao in this fantastic first person view (FPV) travel piece by AirVuz contributor and pilot bradleyfpv.  Curaçao is the "C" in the so-called "ABC Islands" of the southern Caribbean, along with Aruba and Bonaire.  Located just 40 mi. (around 65 km) north of the coast of Venezuela, Curaçao is known for its crystal blue waters and (like its sister islands) it's outside of the hurricane zone.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2021.  

Take an aerial tour of Norway with this fantastic travel video by contributor Antonio Sasso, which combines footage from a DJI Mavic Air 2 with first person view (FPV) drone footage.  At the :45 mark, there's a great shot of the Preikestolen (the "Pulpit Rock") in Rogalund County, and at the 2:10 mark, you'll see one of the roads which connect the (northern) Lofoten Islands.  Interspersed throughout are stunning shots (including FPV views) of some of the country's iconic scenery: fjords, waterfalls, quaint fishing villages, and more.  

Explore the Italian region of Calabria in this fantastic first person view (FPV) done video by AIrVuz contributor alessandrodionisivm, which was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.  Calabria is located at the "toe" of peninsular Italy which consists of five provinces.  This video was shot primarily along the region's northern coastline along the Tyrrhenian Sea, an inlet of the Mediterranean Sea formed by the Italian mainland and the large islands of Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot nezartash brings us this stunning FPV piece from the canyon known as Wadi Lajab in Saudi Arabia.  Wadi Lajab is located in Jazan, a port town at the very southern extremity of the Kingdom.  The gorge is created by a series of streams which have etched their way into the rock.  It's considered on the great natural treasures of Saudi Arabia.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October of 2022.  

Get a new perspective on the Crimea region of Southern Russia in this excellent first person view (FPV) drone travel video by AirVuz contributor Stanislav Banschikov.  The video will take you over some of the most spectacular scenery of Crimea, which is a peninsula that extends into the northern Black Sea.  You'll fly over some of Crimea's coastal mountains, magnificent rock formations, and cultural/historical treasures such as the Genoese Fortress near Sudak.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2022.    

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Oshe brings us this stunning FPV travel video from the Dominican Republic.  The video was filmed over the Samaná Peninsula, which is located on the northern (Atlantic Ocean) side of the island of Hispaniola (which is shared between Haiti to the west and the DR to the east).  The video includes footage of Las Galeras, an area of hidden beaches near the eastern tip of the peninsula.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2023.  

While you may have seen drone videos of the famous "pillar" top monasteries of Meteora in Northern Greece, you've probably never seen them from the unique perspective of a first person view (FPV) racing drone.  Until now.  Talented content creator and FPV pilot EngineerFpv managed to take on these geological (and cultural) wonders with his FPV quad, giving us a unique perspective of this UNESCO World Heritage site at the edge of the Pindus Mountains in the region of Thessaly.  The monasteries date to the 13th-14th centuries.  

Top contributor DiamondSky, multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner and 6th annual New York City Drone Film Festival Finalist, does it again with this fantastic travel piece from Southern Russia.  Using a DJI Mavic Pro 2, an FPV racing drone, and a ground camera, his video will take you through the mountainous province of Kabardino-Balkaria.  Part of the North Caucasus region, this republic covers a small area but is home to Europe's highest mountain (Mt. Elbirus), one of a half-dozen peaks over 5k meters (16.5k ft.) above sea level.

Explore the Philippines in this magnificent first person view (FPV) drone travel reel by top AirVuz contributor and pilot kalash.fpv.  Much of the video was shot in the western province of Palawan; here you'll see the famous El Nido beach area on the northern side of Palawan Island, as well as the small satellite island of Miniloc.  You'll also explore the island of Boracay, which is one of the main islands in the Central Visayan sub-archipelago.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2022.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Aleksandr Iskander brings us this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video shot during a trip to southern (Patagonian) Chile.  The video opens with a series of shot from the Pacific Ocean coastline, which (in the southern regions) is dotted with countless islands and channels.  Further on in the video, you'll be treated to some shots from the Andes Mountains, which run the country's length and in southern Chile run right up to the coast. 

The sandstone pillars of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the interior Chinese province of Hunan have become a popular tourist attraction over the past decades.  In no small measure, their popularity as been driven by their appearance as filming location for the 2009 sci fi epic Avatar, the highest grossing movie of all time.  In this excellent first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor drew.drone, you'll get a unique perspectve of these natural wonders, which he is able to dive with alacrity using his long-range FPV setup. 

For a second upload to AirVuz, AirVuz contributor SeaBasss brings us this excellent travel video from the Southeast European country of Croatia. Shot largely with a first person view (FPV) drone, the video was filmed over a three day trip to this increasingly popular tourist destination.  Much of the footage is from the county's long Adriatic Sea coastline, with some additional shots from the Croatian interior.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2022.    

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Tomz FPV spent three weeks traveling throughout the western USA to create a series of FPV videos.  In this first piece, he explores the famous Fisher Towers rock formations.  Located near the town of Moab in eastern Utah, the towers are made of Cutler sandstone and capped by rock of the Moenkopi Formation.  The Fisher Towers have appeared in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials, most famously in the opening of the 2002 comedy Austin Powers in Goldmember.       

Explore the USA from above with this fantastic travel video by contributor Antonio Sasso, which combines footage from a DJI Mavic Air 2 with first person view (FPV) drone footage.  The video opens with a stunning shot of the iconic Monument Valley in southern Utah.  At around the :45 mark, you'll see Miami Beach, followed by some nice views of Fort Worth, Texas, including a dive of one of its skyscrapers.  Other highlights include an FPV fly-over of Venice Beach, California (1:05) and some aerial views of Utah's Horseshoe Canyon (1:30).

Explore the legendary Greek island of Zakynthos by first person view (FPV) drone in this piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot guidoknifefpv.  Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is the third-largest of the seven main islands west of mainland Greece in the Ionian Sea (an inlet of the Mediterranean).  It's considered one of the top beach destinations in the entire Mediterranean region, and is nicknamed the "Flower of the Levant".  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list and was also a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.  

Prepare to be amazed by this drone film of Austria's lake and alpine region of Salzkammergut by top AirVūz contributor backpackpassion.  Shot with a combination of first person vew (FPV) drone and a DJI Mavic 2 Pro, this video features footage from some of Austria's most idyllic locations such as alpine mountains, pristine waterfalls, and lush green countryside.  The Salzkammergut is located to the east of Salzburg in the northern part of the country.  This video was selected as a Drone Video of the Week nominee in July 2020. 

Contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot matt fpv took a four week road trip through the Southeast European country of Albania and brought back this fantastic trip reel, which was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  The video opens with some great landscape shots from the country's Adriatic Sea coastline as well as its mountainous interior.  At the 1:16 mark, you'll fly past the ruins of Apollonia on the Vjosa River.   Other highlights include the Bridge of Gorica in Berat (3:20), the Mesi Bridge near Shkodër (3:30), and more.

Explore the beauty of Costa Rica by drone in this excellent video by AirVuz contributor Yukix, which was primarily filmed with a first person view (FPV) drone.  Beautifully edited, the video will take you over and around this stunningly beautiful Central American country, which has become a huge draw for eco-tourists from around the world.  Ride along as he dives waterfalls, skims over beaches, and cruises through interior rainforests.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2022.

For a second upload to AirVuz, talented contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot B-RadFPV brings us this excellent FPV reel from the mountains of the Western USA.  The piece, which won the Cinematic category at the Rotor Riot Rampage 2022 FPV RIPPIE event, includes footage from the states of Montana, Nevada, Washington, and Utah.  Among the highlights is a "double gap" shot starting at aout the 1:16 mark (watch it and you'll see what we mean bu the term) and another threading of the needs at around 1:28.  

The Hawaiian island of Maui is one of the USA's top beach destinations.  It's perhaps not surprising then that this bit of tropical paradise has also captured the attention of first person view (FPV) pilots as a travel destination.  Witness this fanastic FPV piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Ewalt_FPV.  Opening with a great shot skimming along the coast, the video ends with a shot of the house where he's staying.  This video was selected for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2020.  

Cruise along the waters of Italy's Ligurian Sea in this excellent first person view (FPV) piece by AirVuz contributor WAKI FPV.  The video was filmed near the commune of Finale Ligure, on the Gulf of Genoa in the province of Savona.  The gulf is considered an inlet of the Ligurian Sea, itself a large inlet of the Mediterranean Sea.  This area is part of the Italian Riviera, which (depending on definition) covers all or most of the coast of the region of Liguria.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2021. 

To understand why Iceland has become such a magnet for first person view (FPV) drone pilots, check out this highly cinematic piece by top contributor Jturner.  A DVOW Finalist as well as a pick for the FPV Pilots to Watch list, the video opens with a flyover of the Fagradalsfjall volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Reykjavikm which began erupting in March of 2021.  Then you'll head to a glacier, one of the icesheets which covers much of the surface of the island.  Other highlights include some epic waterfall and canyon dives. 

Top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals brings us a very rare first person view (FPV) drone perspective of Greenland, the world's largest island.  The video was filmed over the Ilulissat Icefjord, a fjord on Greenland's western coast.  The fjord is fed by the Jakobshavn Glacier, which produces about 10% of all the icebergs produced by Greenland.  It's located about 150 mi. (around 250 km) north of the Arctic Circle.  Due to its ecological importance, the Ilulissat Icefjord has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot SQuiD-FPV takes us on an epic FPV tour of the Wadi Rum Desert in southern Jordan.  Made famous for being the primary filming location of the 1962 epic Lawrence of Arabia, desert is visually distinguished by its nearly-vertical sandstone mountains.  The video features some epic dives down these massive rock structures, by which the desert became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2023.    

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video from Denmark's Faroe Islands, compliments of AirFlex Production.  The video opens with a great "reveal" shot of the Múlafossur Waterfall on the island of Vagar, which drops straight into the ocean from above.  At about the :30 mark, you'll chase some birds through a tiny gap which separates one of the islands from an offshore sea stack, and at the 1:00 mark you'll see the Múlafossur Waterfall from the other side.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Explore the snow-covered expanses of Alaska with this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone travel video by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Nonexistent Jay.  The video opens with a run down a mountain ridge, followed by a fly-by which took the travelers into the wilderness.  Next you'll buzz a glacier, then skim the treetops flying through a forest.  Further on in the piece, you'll fly through snow-tunnels and chase a pack of sled dogs.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2023.  

In this outstanding video by new AirVuz contributor Antonio Sasso, you'll be treated to an exciting aerial tour of the Portuguese island of Madeira.  The video makes the increasingly popular (and visually effective) use of combining footage from a gimbal-stabilized drone (in this case, a DJI Mavic Air 2) with FPV footage, with the Mavic shots used to "set up" the fast-moving FPV footage.  The last vestige of Portugal's once-mighty overseas empire, Madeira is situated about 320 miles (around 520 km) off the coast of Morocco.  

Check out this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video from Iceland, compliments of new AirVuz contributor Jürgen Na.  Following some mountain ridge skimming shots, starting at about :19 you'll tear through the Fjadrargljufur Canyon, which was made famous with a Justin Bieber music video.  At about the :55 mark, you'll tear through the Reynisdrangar Sea Cliffs, some basalt sea stacks in southern Iceland.  Further on, you will dive several waterfalls.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in Decembe of 2022.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Wisso FPV brings us this stunning FPV trip video from Indonesia.  The video opens with an epic shot skimming over famous Kelingking Beach on Nusa Penida, a "satellite" of the larger island of Bali.  Then you'll head to the volcanoes on the eastern side of Java befoe heading back to Diamond Beach on Nusa Penida.  At the 2:00 mark, you'll dive the Madakaripura Waterfall in East Java.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in January of 2023.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot ZainFPV made the most of two days on the tropical island of Lombok in this beautiful video, which was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2022.  Lombok is one of the two main islands of the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia.  Part of the broader chain known as the Lesser Sumba Islands, it lies a short distance to the east of Balil.  The video features footage from Sembalun, Selong, Belanak Beach, Tanjung Aan Beach, and Marese Hill. 

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot chrissbergan earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic piece from a remote Norwegian island called Jan Mayen.  Jan Mayen is located hundreds of miles off of the Norwegian mainland, at the northwestern boundary of the Norwegian Sea (an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean).  Considerably closer to Greenland than mainland Norway, Jan Mayen covers about 146 square mi. (around 377 square km) and has no permanent population.  

First person view (FPV) pilots are getting increasingly creative in their use of FPV-equipped racing quads to take highly cinematic footage of exotic travel destinations.  The speed and maneuverability of these aircraft allow pilots to show spectacular locations from a perspective that gimbal-stabilized aerial videography platforms can't achieve.  Picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2020, this video by contributor huygulit is a great example of this phenomenon; the video was shot in mountainous northern Vietnam.  

Increasingly, first person view (FPV) pilots are planning and making trips primarily to fly their FPV mini quads, preferably in suitably epic spots.  That's what this excellent piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Mitchell Mullins is about.  Having become a proficient FPV pilot, he and a couple of his friends headed to the Pacific Northwest region, home of some of the USA's most spectacular natural scenery.  Here they spent their trip, highlights of which you'll see in the video, which made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

See the beauty of Northern Ireland's coastline in this first-person-view (FPV) video by talented pilot JZFPV.  Watch as he takes us out to the shoreline of the region in the United Kingdom that occupies about one-sixth of the island of Ireland, separated by the UK by the North Channel.  Like the rest of the island, Northern Ireland is known as much as anything for the spectacular cliffs along its coastline.  Capturing this beautiful coastline by FPV, JZFPV earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2019.
