Infinity V...

Venezuela's capital city Caracas is situated in the northern part of this giant South American country, near the Caribbean Sea coast.  Depending on the area counted, Greater Caracas is one of the 6-7 largest urban areas on the South American continent.  Contributor Infinity Visuals, one of the top drone piloting companies in Venezuela, treats us to an aerial tour of this city.  Like the majority of the Latin America capital cities, Caracas was founded by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century.

The Los Roques Archipelago

Los Roques: Get Lost in Paradise!

Los Roques is an archipelago of hundreds of small islands in the southern Caribbean Sea.  It lies north of the coast of Venezuela, of which it is part.  The Los Roques islands are known around the world for stunning blue waters, white sand beaches, and ubiquitous coral reefs.  In this video, top contributor Isabellefabre uses a drone and ground camera to show us the range of activities available on this Caribbean paradise, which is located due east from the somewhat better known island of Curacao.

Angostura Bridge: Spanning the Orinoco

Angostura Bridge

Djivzla Dr...

The Orinoco River, which is situated primarily in Venezuela, is the fourth largest river system in the world by discharge rate.  Due to its width, the Orinoco was not bridged until the construction of the Angostura Bridge near Bolivar, in the southeastern part of the country. Contributor and pilot DJIVzla Drone used a DJI Inspire drone to create this aerial video of the roughly 700 meter (about 2.3k ft.) suspension bridge, which was built in 1967 and until 2006 was the mighty river's only crossing.

Venezuela's National Pantheon

Infinity Visuals - The National Pantheon of Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela

Infinity V...

One of the most recognized sites in the Venezuelan capital Caracas is the National Pantheon.  Built as a burial site for the nation's  heroes, much of the temple's artwork is dedicated to Simon Bolivar, who led the country's war of liberation from Spain in the 19th century.  Contributor and drone piloting company Infinity Visuals created this amazing aerial view of the Pantheon, located in Caracas's old city.  The Pantheon was constructed in the 1870's, when Venezuela was a relatively newly independent country.

Tucupita: Capital of Delta Amacuro

Flying through the streets of Tucupita, Delta Amacuro. mavic air 2

AirVuz contributor Dronesalma brings us this excellent drone video of the city of Tucupita, Venezuela.  It's the capital city of the state of Delta Amacuro, the easternmost of Venezuela's 23 states, the heart of which is covered by the delta of the massive Orinoco River.  Situated on the banks of Orinoco distributary Caño Manamo, Tucupita is home to roughly half of the state's population of around 170k.  While Delta Amacuro is Venezuela's 7th-largest state by area, it's the least populous, as most of its land is swampy and ininhabited.

The Gran Sabana

Infinity Visuals - La Gran Sabana, Venezuela - Aerial Reel

Infinity V...

One of Venezuela's least well known regions is its Gran Sabana, on the eastern side of this giant South American country.  As the name suggests, this is a savannah, a vastly different landscape from the rainforests and jungles which cover much of the rest of Venezuela.  The savannah includes the Canaima National Park, and extends eastward into the neighboring countries of Brazil and Guyana.  See this remarkable biodiverse area via drone in this amazing video by contributor and pilot Infinity Visuals.

Paraguaná Peninsula, Venezuela - Mavic Mini 1

Yaikel Dor...

New contributor Yaikel Dorta used a DJI Mavic Mini to create this excellent drone video of a remote corner of Venezuela.  The area filmed is called the Paraguaná Peninsula, part of the state of Falcón, and it extends into the Caribbean sea from the country's northern coast, connected to the mainland by the narrow Médanos Isthmus.  The video includes footage of the town of Adícora, a village located on the peninsula's northeastern coast, Cape San Román (northernmost point of Venezuela), and the Cumaraguas Salt Flats.

Canaima National Park and Angel Falls

Salto Angel Canaima, Venezuela

AirVuz contributor and pilot Damiano862 brings us this excellent drone video of Venezuela's Canaima National Park, one of the natural treasures of South America.  The gigantic park covers about 12k square mi. (30k square km) in the state of Bolívar, which covers most of the eastern portion of the country.  The video features footage of the park's most famous feature: Angel Falls.  With a total height of just over 3.2k ft. (about 980 m), Angel Falls is the tallest uninterrupted waterfall in the world.

The Mighty Orinoco River

Edición XXVI Paso a nado del Río Orinoco y Río Caroní

Djivzla Dr...

While the Amazon is South America's mightiest river, the Orinoco is a very close second.  This waterway runs over 2.1k km (about 1.3k mi) through Colombia and Venezuela, discharging an average of 37k cubic meters of water (over 1.3 million cu ft.) into the Atlantic every second.  By average discharge, it's the world's #3 river.  Contributor DJIVzla Drone gives us this epic aerial view of this mighty river in its primary country Venezuela, where the Orinoco plays a role analogous to the Amazon in Brazil.

Mochima National Park

Mochima National Park - VENEZUELA

Djivzla Dr...

Top contributor Djivzla Drone created this spectacular drone video of one the great natural treasures of Venezuela: The Mochima National Park.  The park is located on the country's northeastern coast, in the states of Anzoátegui and Sucre.  Mochima covers an area of nearly 100,000 hectares. It's known for a tremendously biodiverse environment spanning from rare plants to whales. Unfortunately, the park is currently threatened with encroachment from commercial developments.

La Tortuga: Venezuela's Largest Island

La Tortuga Island, Venezuela - Mavic Mini 1

Yaikel Dor...

AirVuz contributor and pilot Yaikel Dorta used a DJI Mavic Mini drone to create this fantastic drone video of Venezuela's Tortuga Island.  It's the largest island of this South American country, covering around 60 square mi (around 156 square km) in the southern Caribbean Sea.  Despite its large size, La Tortuga remains almost completely uninhabited by permanent residents.  Once known during the Colonial period for its salt evaporation ponds, La Tortuga is slowing being "discovered" as a destination for adventurous tourists.

Santa Fe, Sucre State

Equipo de remo del Estado Sucre, Santa Fe, Venezuela

Check out this stunning drone video from the Sucre state of northern Venezuela, compliments of contributor and pilot aerea studio.  Santa Fe is a beach town in Sucre, one of the 23 states which make up this very large South American country.  The resort town of Santa Fe is located in a particularly biologically diverse part of Venezuela's long Caribbean Sea coastline, towards its eastern end.   One of the most popular spots for backpacking in Venezuela, the area is known for its brilliant colors.

The Beaches of Choroní, Aragua

Choroní Beaches, Venezuela - Mavic Mini 1

Yaikel Dor...

Get an aerial view of the well-known beaches of Choroní, Venezuela in this excellent drone video by Yaikel Dorta.  The beaches lie along a small bay of the southern Caribbean Sea in Aragua, one of the northern states of this giant South American country.  The area is about 30 miles (around 50 km) north of the city of Maracay, the state capital, which lies on the shores of Lake Valencia (Lago de Valencia).  The video was filmed with the DJI Mavic Mini drone.  The drive from Maracay winds through a coastal mountain range.

Lechería, State of Anzoátegui

Take an aerial tour of the Caribbean Sea city of Lechería, Venezuela in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Dronesalma.  Lechería is in effect a northern suburb of the city of Barcelona (not to be confused with the Spanish city of the same name), the capital of the state of Anzoátegui and the center of one of the largest urban agglomerations in eastern Venezuela.  The city lies along a bay formed by a crescent-shaped peninsula, which you'll see clearly in the video.  The video was shot with a DJI Mavic Air 2 at sunrise.

Lagoon of Lake Maracaibo

Laguna de Ologa, South of Lake Maracaibo. Venezuela

Venezuela's Lake Maracaibo isn't technically a lake; it's actually an inlet of the Caribbean Sea, although it's believed that at one point it was fully closed-off from the sea.  Known in part for the density of lightning strikes, it covers a massive 13k+ square km (around 5.1k square mi.) and is one of the key geographical features of this South American country.  In this drone video by dronemaracaibo, you'll get a nice aerial view of one of the lagoons which are situated on the western side of Maracaibo.

The Llanos of Apure

Plains of Apure State, Venezuela - Mavic Mini 1

Yaikel Dor...

While the landscapes most commonly associated with the South American country of Venezuela are Caribbean coastline, coastal mountains, and dense tropical jungle, the area you'll see in this drone video by Yaikel Dorta is nothing of the kind.  The video was filmed over the southwestern state of Apure, much of which is covered by llanos (plains).  The area is known for its immense biodiversity and is home to numerous species of deer, monkeys, river dolphins, pumas, crocodiles, caimans, anacondas and chigüires (the world's largest rodent).

Cayo de Agua, Los Roques Islands

Cayo Agua Los Roques, Venezuela

Check out this beautiful drone video from the Los Roques Islands of Venezuela by AirVuz contributor and pilot Damiano862.  The video was filmed over the tiny uninhabited island of Cayo Agua, one of the roughly 350 (the vast majority of which are also uninhabited) which make up this archipelago of the southern Caribbean Sea.  Cayo Agua is located about 90 mi. (around 150 km) due north of the Venezuelan capital city of Caracas and a slightly longer distance east of the Dutch island of Curaçao.

Mérida: Andean Venezuela

VENEZUELA - Estado Merida

While Venezuela is not generally thought of as a mountainous country, the fact is that much of the western portion of this giant South American country is covered by the Andes Mountains.  In this drone video by dronemaracaibo, you'll get an aerial tour of the state of Mérida, one of the five states which make up the official Andean Region of this vast South American country.  In this drone video by content creator dronemaracaibo, you'll get an aerial tour of Mérida, whose landscape is more reminiscent of Peru or Bolivia.

The Islands of Morrocoy, Falcón State

Cayo Muerto and Cayo Peraza in Morrocoy, Falcón - Venezuela

Yaikel Dor...

Take in these beautiful aerial views of the northern coast of Venezuela, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Yaikel Dorta.  The area filmed is in and around Morrocoy National Park, which is part of Falcón, the northernmost of the 23 states of this large South American country.  The two specific areas you'll see are Cayo Muerto and Cayo Peraza, two small islands which lie off the coast of the mainland in the southern Caribbean Sea.  A DJI Mavic Mini drone was used to capture the footage.

The Orinoco River Delta

Yaikel Dor...

In this drone video by Yaikel Dorta, you'll get an aerial view of the delta of the mighty Orinoco River in Venezuela.  Located primarily in Venezuela but with a quarter of its drainage basin in neighboring Colombia, the Orinoco is the fourth-largest river in the world by discharge volume.  The delta of the river covers much of an entire state of Venezuela, the appropriately-named Delta Amacuro.  The river empties into the Gulf of Paria, an inlet of the southern Caribbean Sea formed by the Venezuelan mainland and the island of Trinidad.

The Paraguaná Peninsula by Drone

Infinity Visuals - Paraguana, Falcon, Venezuela - Aerial Footage HD

Infinity V...

Contributor Infinity Visuals created this beautiful aerial view of a spot in the far northern reaches of Venezuela.  It's called the Paraguaná Peninsula, and it juts out northward from the mainland of the Falcon State into the Caribbean Sea.  The peninsula is roughly halfway between Caracas (to the east) and Maracaibo (to the west), Venezuela's largest and second largest cities, respectively.   Almost an island, the Paraguaná Peninsula connects to the mainland via the tiny Médanos Isthmus.

Aragua's Puerto Colombia

Puerto Colombia - Choroní desde el aire

Contributor dronepixel created this beautiful aerial video of a port town on Venezuela's Caribbean coast.  Puerto Colombia is  situated in the state of Aragua, roughly midway along the country's coastline.  The video features some stunning top-down shots of the steep hills that descend almost vertically to the blue-green sea below.  The hills are part of the Cordillera mountain range which runs parallel to the coast.   The area is located a bit to the west of Venezuela's capital city, Caracas.

Drone Views of Tucupita

Epic sunset in Tucupita, Venezuela.

Check out this beautiful drone video of the sun setting over the Venezuelan city of Tucupita, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Dronesalma.  The city is the capital of Delta Amacuro, the easternmost of the 23 states which make up this giant South American country.  The city is located on the banks of the Caño Manamo River, one of the distributaries of the mighty Orinico River.  Surrounded by mangrove swamps, Tucupita is the gateway to one of the country's most popular eco-tourism regions.
