Top contributor Drone My Life won the 2022 AirVuz Drone Video of the Year award for this fantastic video from the Faroe Islands, a Danish chain of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean.  Beautifully edited, the video combines footage from a DJI Mavic 3 Cine drone as well as first person view (FPV) drone footage.  Some of the featured locations include the úlafossur waterfall, which drops straight into the sea; and the needle-like Trøllkonufingur rock pillar.  Around the 1:24 mark, you'll fly (via FPV) through an impossibly-narrow canyon.

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Project.Muse brings us this fantastic drone video from the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelgao in the North Atlantic Ocean.  Filmed with a DJI Mini Pro 3 drone, the video will take you over this remote archipelago, which consists of 18 main islands and has a permanent population of about 50k.   Far less traveled than Iceland (to which the islands are sometimes compared), the Faroes increasingly appeal to adventure-minded (and often drone-flying) travelers.

Multiple DVOW Finalist DroneDirector used a DJI Mavic Pro 3 to create this marvelous aerial video of Sandoy, one of the (Danish) Faroe Islands of the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video features the following locations, in order of appearance: Dalur, a village on the eastern side of the island's southern peninsula; the village of Húsavík, a bit to the north; the village of Skarvanes, on the western side; Skopun, near the northern tip; Sandur, on the western side, and the island's largest settlement; and Skálavík, a bit to the north of Húsavík.

This piece by top AirVuz contributor Ericbartolo does a phenomenal job of bringing out the intense natural beauty of the Faroe Islands, a Danish-controlled chain in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video opens with an epic shot descending through the clouds to one of the island's famous "sea stacks" - giant offshore rock formations.  Some of the other highlights of the film include the "elevated" Lake Sørvágsvatn at the :50 mark, followed by the famous Drangarnir arched rock.

AirVuz contributor eCKsplorer used a DJI Air 2 to create this marvelous drone video of Tórshavn, the capital and largest town in Denmark's Faroe Islands archipelago.  The town is located on the southeastern coast of Streymoy, the largest island of the chain.  The video opens with some nice overhead shots of Tinganes, the oldest part of the town.  At the 1:00 mark, you'll see the Tórshavn Cathedral, the second-oldest church in the Faroes.  Other featured spots include the Tórsvøllur football stadium (1:11) and the Skansin fortress (1:18).  

Top contributor and drone pilot DroneDirector produced this beautiful montage of drone footage from across the Faroe Islands.  The islands, which operate as a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, sit well off in the North Atlantic, roughly halfway between Western Norway and Southern Iceland.  The group consists of 18 "major" islands, the largest of which is about 375 square km (roughly 150 square mi.) plus several hundred small to tiny islands and islets, some of which are no more than large rocks.

With about 50k permanent residents spread out over 18 main islands, Denmark's Faroe Islands are sparesely populated.  For that reason, some of its larger municipalities are spread out over multiple islands.  In this video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist DroneDirector, you'll explore the municipality of Klaksvíkar, which includes about a dozen towns and which covers the islands of Kalsoy and Svínoy in their entirety and the majority of the island of Borðoy, all of which lie on the northeastern side of the archipelago.  

The rocky cliffs of the Faroe Islands have been drawing rock climbers from around the world to this North Atlantic archipelago.  In this video, top contributor and pilot DroneDirector used a DJI Phantom 4 drone to film some climbers scaling the vertical cliffs which abound throughout the islands, which are a territory of the nation of Denmark.  It is definitely not a place for people who are scared of cold water -  the North Atlantic waters rarely exceed 11 degrees Celsius (about 50 degrees Farenheit).

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist DroneDirector brings us this stunning drone video from the Faroe Islands, the Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video was shot over the island of Mykines, which is the westernmost of the 18 principal islands which make up the group.  Covering only about four square mi. (around ten square km), Mykines has a full-time population of fewer than a dozen residents.  The video opens with a great shot of the long peninsula which makes up the western extent of the island. 

What exactly is a sea stack?  Watch this video from Drone Director to find out.  He filmed some very brave climbers tackling a sea stack north of the island of Kunoy in the Faroe Islands, the Danish-controlled archipelago in the North Atlantic.  Sea stacks are essentially giant rocks protruding from the floor of the North Atlantic Ocean.  This particular sea stack is called Oldan, and it's located just to the north of the island.  If it looks small, it's only by comparison to the giant cliffs of the island!

Mikladalur is a tiny village on the island of Kalsoy, one of Denmark's Faroe Islands chains in the North Atlantic Ocean.  As of 2005, just 44 permanent residents call the village home.  It name roughly translates to "great valley or dale".  Mikladalur is the largest of the four towns on the island of Kalsoy, which is one of the northeastern islands in the archipelago.  The video features footage of one of the Faroes' more well-known landmarks: a bronze statue of a "seal woman" or Selkie, which is tied to a local legend.

Top contributor DroneDirector created this beautiful drone video of an area around a tiny village in the Faroe Islands, a Danish-controlled archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The village is called Saksun and it's on the island of Streymoy, the largest and most populous of the main 18 islands which constitute the Faroes.  Saksun is situated in the northwestern part of the island, in an area that was once an inlet of the sea but which became a lagoon after the path to the sea was blocked by sand deposition.  

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot DroneDirector brings us this fantastic drone video from one of the least-known of the Faroe Islands, the Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video is from Nólsoy, which is one of the smallest of the 18 "major" islands which make up the group.  It's located just off the southeastern tip of Streymoy, the largest and most populated of the Faroes.  The video includes footage of Nólsoy's namesake town; the only settlement on the island, it's located on a bay near the island's northern tip.  

The success of the James Bond movie franchise has always partly hinged on the use of exotic filming locations, some of which become popular tourist destinations by appearing in the films.  That's why the Faroe Islands are expected to receive a major boost from the widely-anticipated 25th series installment, No Time to Die (2021), the Kallur Lighthouse on the island of Kalsoy was a known filming location.  Check out this soon-to-be-famous location from above in this excellent drone video by DroneDirector. 

Top contributor DroneDirector created this awesome aerial view from two spots in the Faroe Islands, a North Atlantic island archipelago which is part of Denmark.  Bøur and Gásadalur are two towns on the western side of the island of Vágar.  Vágar is the westernmost of the nine major islands in the group.  Area-wise, it's the third largest of the islands, after Streymoy and Esturoy.  On a map, the island closely resembles a dog's head, with the two towns featured here in the "mouth" of the canine.

The group of Danish islands comprises of 18 rocky, volcanic islands between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic. Rbendjebar will open with a shot of Kópakonan, the seal woman, on the island of Kalsoy. At :50 you’ll see the statue of Nykur of Sørvágsvatn. Check out these beautiful aerial views of a pair of iconic-looking villages in the Faroe Islands, compliments of top contributor and drone pilot DroneDirector.  The first village is called Kunoy.  It's one of two villages located on the island of the same name, one of the northeasternmost of the 18 main islands which make up the group.  The second village is called Elduvík.  This village is located on an inlet on the island of Eysturoy; Eysturoy is the second-largest of the group both in terms of land area and population.  

In this breathtaking drone video, a team of professional mountaineers take on the mighty Kambsenni ridge on the island of Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands, the Danish-controlled North Atlantic archipelago. With an elevation of 500 meters (just under 1.7k ft.), Kambsenni provides plenty of vertical challenge for these enthusiasts, armed with the requisite crampons, helmet, ice axe, and plenty of rope.  The views from the summit and their journey to it prove to be epic indeed, as seen in this aerial footage captured by DroneDirector.

Fossá Waterfall is one of the natural treasures of the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  Seen in this outstanding drone video by AirVuz contributor eCKsplorer, the falls are located on the northeastern coast of Streymoy, the largest and most populated island in the chain.  The two-stage falls, which empty directly into the ocean, have a total height of about 310 ft. or around 140 m.  It's a roughly 45 minute drive from Tórshavn, the main city of the Faroe Islands.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist DroneDirector brings us this excellent drone video from an iconic village in the Faroe Islands, a North Atlantic archipelago which is part of Denmark.  The village of Sandur is located on the southern shore of Sandoy, one of the southern islands within the group.  With a population of about 500 (making it Sandoy's largest settlement), Sandur is very old - it's the site of a hoard of silver coins which date to the late 11th century.  The village is also home to a Viking burial ground.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist DroneDirector brings us this fantastic drone video from Kalsoy, one of Denmark's Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic.  Kalsoy is one of the northeastern islands of the group, located between Esturopy and Kunoy.  The video features footage of the village of Trøllanes and the Kallur Lighthouse at the island's northern end.  The lighthouse was used as a filming location for the 25th installment of the James Bond series, No Time to Die, scheduled for release in late 2020.  

Kunoy is one of the northern (actually, northeastern) of the Faroe Islands, a Danish territory archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  It's located just east of Kalsoy and west of the larger island of Bordoy, to which it is now connected by causeway.  Kunoy has just two settlements: its namesake town on the island's west coast and  Haraldssund on its east, near the causeway), with about 150 total permanent residents.  Check out Kunoy from above in this excellent drone video by top contributor DroneDirector.
