Scandinavia: Landscapes of Sweden


Sweden is an enormous country, stretching almost 1,600 km (1,000 mi) from north to south.  To create this amazing video, contributor Nate Summercock flew his DJI Phantom 3 drone literally up and down the length of this Scandinavian country, from Abisko National Park in the north to Skane in the south.  The result is a beautiful bird's eye view of this magnificent country, which covers an incredible 450,000 square km (about 180k square mi.) in the high summer months.

Destination Copenhagen


Denmark's capital city Copenhagen sits on a series of islands in the eastern part of the country, facing the Baltic Sea.  It is now connected to the Swedish city of Malmo by the Oresund Bridge which spans the strait of the same name, one of the busiest waterways in Europe.  Contributor DomiSchleu’s spent a  weekend with a drone in this Scandinavian city and created an amazing bird's eye tour of the city's pristine water, charming architecture, and bustling streets.

Greenland Epic Photo Tour


It is difficult to comprehend the immensity of Greenland, the massive Danish controlled island in the North Atlantic Ocean.  At nearly 2.2 million square km (836k square mi), the world's largest island is more than double the size of the world's second largest island (New Guinea) and roughly 6x the land area of Germany.  Top contributor Daniel Kordan used a drone to create this stunning visual tour of the island, replete with giant icebergs and shimmering glaciers.

Incredible Iceland


Top contributor, drone pilot, and AirVūz Drone Video of the Week winner LukeMaximoBell traveled from his native South Africa to Iceland for an 11 day trip through the North Atlantic island nation.  The video features everything one could hope for in an Iceland drone video - glaciers, fjords, volcanic mountains, and monstrous waterfalls.  It even has room for some Icelandic horses, a nice touch for any Iceland video!   The aerial video in the footage was captured via a DJI Phantom 4 Pro.

The Pulpit Rock

The Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) is a major tourist attraction of Rogaland in the southwestern corner of Norway. The top of the rock, which is roughly 600 meters (2000 ft) above the base, is essentially a flat table from which tourists can view the Lysefjord fjord, one of Norway's biggest attractions.  Top contributor Grim Berge used a drone to treat us to a spectacular aerial view of this magnificent rock, the shooting location for a key scene in Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).

EPIC Lofoten Islands in Winter


The Lofoten Islands in northern Norway offer a stunning winter landscape, even though the winter temperatures are surprisingly mild for a location above the Arctic Circle.  Top contributor BashirAbuShakra used a drone to create an epic aerial video of this stunning region in the depths of winter.  You will be treated to bird's eye views of fjords, snow covered mountains, floating icebergs, and much more.   The islands are part of Nordland, one of the counties which makes up the region of Northern Norway.

Mystic Iceland


Iceland is one of the world's most drone-able countries, a fact which has not escaped the world's drone pilots.  Siggizoom used a combination of DJI drones to create this stunning visual tour of southeastern Iceland, which was nominated for the Drone Video of the Week Award.  For a cinematic aerial view of glaciers, icebergs, volcanic mountains, and endless waterfalls, it's hard to beat this stunning drone film by a top native Iceland pilot.

This aerial video by BubaSmith has some of the most epic drone footage of Iceland you'll ever see.  The most dramatic footage is of northern Iceland in the first 60 seconds.  This part of Iceland was featured extensively in Season 3 of HBO's Game of Thrones; GOT fans may recognize the scenery around Hverir and Dimmuborgir from the episodes "Valar Dohaeris" (S03E01) and "Kissed by Fire" (S03E05), respectively.

The Faroe Islands is an archipelago controlled by Denmark in the northern Atlantic Ocean.  They lie north of  Scotland, southeast of Iceland, and west of Norway.  Once part of Norway, the islands were eventually ceded to Denmark by treaty in the early 1800's.  In this drone video by contributor Taam, a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone beautifully captures the rugged landscape and moody colors of the islands, with amazing time-lapse effects built in as well.

KopterCam: Winter in Levi, Finland


Finnish drone pilot Koptercam created this amazing aerial video of the Levi skiing and recreational area of Lapland in Northern Finland.  Located north of the Arctic Circle, it's Finland's largest ski resort.  Using a DJI Inspire drone with a DJI X5 camera, much of the film is tracking a group of snowmobilers trekking through the Scandinavian winter wonderland.  If nothing else, it will help you to understand why Lapland and Christmas are so often mentioned in the same breath.

Ilulissat Icefjord - GREENLAND | 4K Drone Footage

Rasmus H-P used a DJI Phantom 4 drone to create this stunning video of Ilulissat Icefjord on the west coast of Greenland.  The fjord is created by Jakobshavn Glacier, one of the largest on this massive North Atlantic island.  The glacier, which is the most productive in the Western Hemisphere, annually produces 35 billion tons of icebergs which float out through Ilulissat.  The fjord and the glacier have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
