Campania is the most populous region of southern Italy. The region consists of the four provinces of Avellino, Benevento, Caserta, and Salerno, plus the Metropolitan City of Naples. consists of five official regions in the southern part of mainland: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, and Puglia. The region includes the fabled Amalfi Coast, Italy's third-largest city, Mediterranean Islands such as Capri, some of Italy's largest seaports, numerous ancient Greek and Roman era ruins, and Mt. Vesuvius, one of the world's most famous (and feared) volcanoes. Here is a collection of some of the best aerial views of this quintessentially Mediterranean region.
