HBO's blockbuster fantasy series Game of Thrones owes much of its success to its filming locations, which help to make each episode feel like a movie. Most of the outside footage for the series eight seasons was shot in five countries: Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Spain, and the United Kingdom (specifically, Northern Ireland) in Europe, plus Morocco in North Africa. The same spectacular beauty that led Game of Thrones producers to places like Dubrovnik and the castles of Andalusia has drawn drone pilots from around the world to these locations. Below is a collection of the best drone videos from locations which have appeared on the award-winning TV series. In the wise words from Oberyn Martell, "It's a big and beautiful world. Most of us live and die in the same corner where we were born and never get to see any of it. I don't want to be most of us."
