The sport of rallying is one that uniquely benefits from the raw, noisy, and dirty quality of it’s arena: actual every-day roads, closed for the race, in spots all over the world. The engines of these insanely capable rally cars - based on rebuilt, more robust versions of production street cars - scream with intensity as they rage around courses lined in mud, sand, or even crumbling asphalt. The louder the engines, the more challenging the course, and the more engaged the audience (many who watch from perilously-close perches), the better.
Rally races are enjoyed around the globe, but the most famous races are hosted by the World Rally Cup, which holds a championship series every year for the drivers, co-drivers, and car manufacturers. In 2017, WRC announced a partnership with DJI, knowing that the best way to capture these exhilarating and dynamic events is via the aerial views of the action...specifically with a nimble and responsive drone.
Below you’ll find action packed collection of rally races, filmed by both camera drone and FPV (First-Person-View) drones...both of these provide their own unique shot of adrenaline for us viewers, so we think it’s time you check them all out too.
