New Drone Products on AirVuz News

Drone start-up Volans-i is building UAVs that can deliver heavy payloads over long distances.  They're capable of flying over 500 miles, 12 hours+, and carry up to a 200lbs. By combining several forms of flying they are able to achieve this.  The drones are fixed wing for long range flight, but use traditional quadcopter motors and props to assist with vertical take-off and landing.  Combining drones with the component of B2B deliveries is what inspired the Volans-I drone.

Tyler Mason caught up with Shaun Taylor at AUVSI Xponential 2018 in Denver, Colorado to talk Bind N' Fly and Ready to Fly racing quads. These mini quads are more prevalent on the race track because of supreme engineering and components that satisfy accomplished pros. The FPV learning curve is getting easier thanks to companies engineering BNF drones that are user-friendly, yet they maintain top drawer specs for the growing talent pool to practice their skills at pro race speed.

The latest product announcement from DJI has arrived. Dubbing it the “marvel of modern engineering,” DJI unveiled the new Mavic 2 Line – the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. DJI said consumers wanted 3 main things – a more versatile camera, improved obstacle avoidance, and longer battery life. They say the Mavic 2 line is just that, “better, faster, quieter” than consumer level drones of its size have ever been. Watch for more info on the Mavic 2.
