Lake Santa Croce (Lago di Santa Croce) is a popular recreational lake in northern Italy.  It's located in Belluno, the northernmost of the seven provinces which make up the country's Veneto region. It's located a short distance east of the provincial capital and about an hour's drive north of Venice on Route A27.  It's located in the hills just north of the  Venetian Plain, at an elevation of about 385 meters above sea level or around 1.25k ft.  Check out the beautiful scene from above in this drone video by Sauron82.

In this excellent drone video by Travel and Drones you'll explore some lesser known spots around Lake Garda in northern Italy.  The first part of the video was shot on Monte Baldo, which runs along the eastern shore of Italy's largest lake in the provinces of Trentino and Verona.  The next stop is a bit to the north: the medieval castle on the shores of Lake Toblino in Trento.  The last stop is Fort Ardietti, a 19th century fortification just south of Lake Garda in Verona, near the border with the province of Brescia.

Check out this stunning DVOW Finalist drone video of the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy, compliments of IVAL PhotoVideo.  Spread across three provinces - two in the Trentino-Alto-Adigio region and another in the Veneto region - the Dolomites are part of the Southern Limestone Alps.  The video was shot during the Fall season; you'll see how the areas of deciduous trees found at lower altitudes turn to brilliant colors. The Dolomites are home to nearly two dozen mountain peaks over 3k meters (around 9.8k ft.).

AirVuz contributor and pilot nicomazz brings us this outstanding drone video record of a day hiking trip to Mt. Averau in Italy's Dolomite Mountains.  The trip begins in the Giau Pass, which runs between Averau and its neighbor into the valley of the Cortina d'Ampezzo.  As you follow the party on their route along the via Ferrata Ra Gusela to the top of the 2.65k meters (just under 8.7k ft.) Averau mountain, you'll get a great view of the surrounding scenery, including (at about the :30 mark) the Cinque Torri.

The church of Madonna della Corona in northern Italy is perched improbably on a cliff of Monte Baldo overlooking the Adige River in the province of Verona.  Dating to the 16th century, it was meticulously reconstructed during the 1970s.  It's just a few km/mi east of Lake Garda, about an hour's drive northwest of the province's (namesake) capital city.    It's a sight which is perhaps best appreciated by drone, as you'll see in this outstanding aerial video of the church by AirVuz contributor Travel and Drones.

The Po River is Italy's longest waterway.  Rising in the Italian Alps, the great river flows over 400 miles (around 650 km) on a generally eastern course, breaking up into a series of distributaries which flow into the Adriatic Sea.  In this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Dream to Fly, you'll get an aerial view of the great delta of the river, in the region of Veneto.  Just south of the Venetian Lagoon, this is the active part of the delta, which also covers a portion of the region of Emilia Romagna.

Among the more improbable-looking marvels of northern Italy is the Madonna della Corona Church, which is seemingly built right into the side of a cliff.  Seen from above in this drone video by otis72@virgilio.it, it's located on the side of Monte Baldo, just to the east of Lake Garda in the province of Verona.  Originally the site of a monastery, the church was built in the 16th century.  Virtually inaccessible for centuries, the church slipped into disrepair before being restored in the 20th century and made accessible via a new path.
