Top content creator dronesantana007 produced this stunning drone video record of a trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Southeastern Europe. The video opens with an epic shot of the Stari Most bridge in Mostar, which was considered one of the great technological achievements of Medieval Europe.  Starting at about 2:25, there is some great footage of the capital city Sarajevo. Starting at 3:30, there's an epic reveal of Kravice Falls, one of the country's most famous waterfalls.  This video was a Drone Video of the Week winner in November, 2019.  

Bosnia Herzegovina is generally considered to be the most culturally distinctive of the countries which emerged after Yugoslavia tragically collapsed into a long and bloody civil war in the 1990's.  In this video, top AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Hamza Mujtaba takes us on an aerial tour of this magnificent land, Europe's only Muslim-majority country.  Using his DJI Mavic Pro drone, he gives us bird's eye views of the country, including spectacular shots of Mostar, Sarajevo, Bjelasnica, Borovcici, and Kravice Falls.

Brand-new contributor kulturmirasimiz brings us this stunning drone video of a half-dozen cities in the Southeast European country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  The featured locations include the capital city of Sarajevo, in the east-central part of the country; the medieval treasure of Mostar, in the south-central part of the country; the village of Blagaj, also near Mostar; Travnik, about an hour's drive west of Sarajevo, near the middle of the country; and Jablanica, also in the south-central part of the country.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist 70daysaroundtheworld returns to AirVuz after a two year hiatus with this excellent drone video from the Balkan nation of Bosnia Herzegovina.  The video features footage from the following locations: Bihac, a city in the far northwestern corner of the country; Jajce, a small city near the middle of Bosnia; Travnik, another small town near the center of the country; Sarajevo, the Bosnian capital city, located in the east-central part of the country; and Mostar, a historic city in southern Bosnia. 

The reveal shots in this piece are unreal - specifically the one which occurs 24 seconds into the video. It should come as no surprise that it comes from 2017 Drone Video of the Year nominee and drone pilot Scientik. This piece, nominated for Drone Video of the Week, was shot in the mountains of beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina in Southeastern Europe on his DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone. Filled with 100% aerial shots of those gorgeous mountain scenics, a mountain climber, a tightrope walker, and more, it's another gem by Scientik. 

The subject of this drone video by ante de la creme is one of the world's most famous bridges - Stari Most (translated as "Old Bridge") in the town of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The stone arch bridge over the Neretva River is a modest 29 meters (about 130 feet) but when it was completed in the mid-16th century it was considered a monumental structure. During the Yugoslav Civil War, the bridge was hit by dozen of shells and virtually destroyed; it was later carefully reconstructed. This video was a DVOW finalist in October, 2019. 

The spectacular medieval Srebrenik Fortress lies in the northeastern corner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe.  While the fortress was abandoned shortly after being built in the 14th century, it is one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in all of Europe.  It was the birthplace of Tvrtko I Kotromanić first king of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Contributor Tamas Vargas used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this amazing video, which begins with a selfie and then reveals the mighty fortification.

Despite its fairly modest land area of about 50k square km (around 20k square mi), Bosnia and Herzegovina is blessed with an extremely high density of natural, cultural, and historical sites.  In this remarkable drone video, contributor and pilot Bycasa photography treats us to a magnificent aerial tour of this Balkan nation which had been part of Yugoslavia before its dissolution  It features footage of the capital city of Sarajevo, the famous fortresses of Srebrenik, and other top attractions.  

Here's a fantastic aerial view of one of the natural wonders of the Balkans, compliments of contributor and drone pilot Vladimir D.  It's the Štrbački buk waterfall on the Una River in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, near the Croatian border.  The falls have a total drop of about 25 meters or a bit over 80 feet.  Despite being relatively close to the Adriatic Sea, the water you see here ends up far to the northeast; the Una is a tributary of the Sava, which joins the Danube and ends its course in the Black Sea.  

Top contributor Minglam created this beautiful drone video from southern Bosnia Herzegovina, the landlocked country in Southeastern Europe.  Both of the locations featured in the video are in the Herzegovina region, which covers the southern part of the country.  The first spot is Jablaničko Lake, an artificial lake created as a reservoir for the dam of the same name.  The second spot is the city of Mostar, a marvelously well-preserved medieval treasure which is the capital of the Herzegovina region.  

Contributor Emirdzanan created this beautiful video of modern Sarajevo.  Now the capital of Bosnia Herzegovina, Sarajevo was the site of one of history's most monumental events.  In June, 1914, the Archduke of Austria-Hungary and his wife were visiting the city when they were assassinated by a Serbian terrorist.  The Austrian government, believing that the state of Serbia was complicit in the killing, set a chain of events in motion which led weeks later to the outbreak of the European-wide conflagration now known as World War I.  

In medieval times, it was the 'mostari' who fiercely guarded the landmark bridge shown in this video, and the surrounding city itself - Mostar, in Bosnia Herzegovina - was named after them.  The Neretva River, which flows beneath the bridge, is one of the largest within the greater Adriatic Basin.  As seen in this drone video by top contributor HikeTheWorld, the 16th-century Ottoman bridge has been fully restored after being virtually destroyed by artillery fire in the Yugoslav Civil War of the mid-1990s.  

AirVuz contributor ante de la creme brings us this excellent drone video of a famous ski resort in the Southeast European country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Jahorina resort is located on its namesake mountain, which has a summit elevation of just over 1.9k meters above sea level or around 6.3k ft.  The ski resort, which is the largest in the country, was the venue for the women's alpine skiing events at the 1984 Winter Olympics, which were held in Sarajevo (located about an hour's drive to the northwest) in 1984.  

Ljubuski is a small village in the West Herzegovina Canton in southern Bosnia Herzegovina, lying near the country's western border with Croatia in Southeastern Europe.  Situated in the foothills of some of Bosnia's spectacular mountains, the region is full of rivers and waterfalls which drain the elevated areas.  Drone pilot Andrej Vištica created this amazing look at some of the natural scenery around the town during the spring season.  As you'll see, the spring runoff feeds some spectacular looking falls.

The Una River is the most important waterway in  Bosnia and Herzegovina.  It rises in the mountains of Croatia and runs a generally northeastern course, for some lengths serving as the Bosnian/Croatian border and for other stretches running entirely within Bosnia.  The river runs a course of about 215 km (just under 135 mi.) before joining the Sava River, a Danube tributary.  In this drone video by elvir.hadzic, you'll get a bird's eye view of a quiet stretch of the Una, so named by the Romans for its "unique" beauty.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of the city of Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina by new contributor darkaster.  Bihać is located in the Una-Sana Canton, which essentially covers the "tip" of the roughly northwestern-pointed "arrow" which the country roughly resembles on a map.  The city lies on the banks of the Una River, which forms the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia for much of its course.   Settled since at least the 13th century, Bihać went on to become one of the most heavily fortified Ottoman Empire outposts.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor and pilot into the light brings us this fantastic drone video from the mountains of Bosnia Herzegovina.  The video was filmed near the city of Banja Luka, which is part of the Bosanska Krajina region of the country, in the tip of the northwestern-pointed arrow which the country resembles on a map.   The region is heavily forested and crossed by numerous rivers, as you'll see in the video.  The piece was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.  

As a mountainous land which receives a good deal of rainfall, it's not surprising that waterfalls are an important part of the natural landscape of Bosnia Herzegovina.  One of the more spectacular examples is Blihin (Bliha) Falls, which lies on the river of the same name.  It's located near the town of Sanski Most, which is part of the Una-Sana Canton in the northwestern corner of the country.  Contributor Wanya1982 used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to aerially film this natural wonder in the dead of winter.  

If you want to see an iconic looking winter mountain scene, check out this drone video of the mountains of Bosnia & Herzegovina by contributor emirdzanan.  Bjelašnica and Igman are neighboring mountains which are situated just to the southwest of the Bosnian capital city Sarajevo.  Both mountains saw serious fighting in the brutal siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War which followed the collapse of Yugoslavia.  With two-plus decades to heal, the area has reverted to its former magnificent state.

Take in these drone views from the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, compliments of AirVuz contributor boristr.  Mt. Vranica is a massif which is part of the Dinaric Alps, a chain which runs down much of the western side of the Balkan Peninsula.  Located near the geographic center of the country, the mountain has a peak elevation of just over 6.9k ft. above sea level (around 2.1k m).  It's located a short distance west of the capital city of Sarajevo and a somewhat longer distance north of the historic city of Mostar.  

Contributor Tamas Varga used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this beautiful aerial tour of two of the most prominent mountains in the central part of Bosnia Herzegovina.  Bjelašnica, less than a half hour's drive southwest from the capital city Sarajevo, has its highest peak at an elevation of 2.1k meters (about 6.8k ft.).   Visočica is actually a small range lying a bit further to the southwest.  Its highest peak is just a bit shorter than Bjelašnica, just under 2.0k meters (about 6.5k ft.) above sea level.

The mountains of Bosnia Herzegovina offer some of the most spectacular scenery of Southeastern Europe, and perhaps never more so in the springtime.  Witness this beautiful drone video by contributor emirdzanan.  He used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone to create this beautiful aerial of Mt. Bjelašnica in the south central part of the country, just as Spring was beginning to emerge.  With a peak elevation of a bit over 2k meters (just under 6.8k ft.), it's a short  drive southwest of Bosnia's capital city, Sarajevo.  

Contributor Wanya1982 created this beautiful drone video of the wintry scene around Ključ, a town in the northwestern part of Bosnia Herzegovina.  It's located in the Una-Sana Canton, one of the ten provinces which make up this Balkan country.  The Canton covers the northwestern corner of the country.  It's named after its two principal rivers: the Una and Sana. During the civil war which erupted with the dissolution of Yugoslavia, this area was held by Bosnian Serbs for a time.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor darkaster brings us this fanastic drone video of a hilltop fortress in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Sokolac Fortress is located in the municipality of the same name in the eastern part of the country.  It's believed that the fortification dates to the 14th century, while the town of Sokolac itself is somewhat older.  The tower, which is open to the public, stands about 53 ft. tall or around 16 m.  The site affords an excellent view of the Una River Valley below.  

Here's a beautiful drone video from the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Southeastern Europe, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot darkaster.  The video was filmed over Plješivica, which is situated near the northwestern-pointed tip of the arrow that Bosnia resembles on a map, along the border with Croatia.  The mountain is part of the Dinaric Alps, which run along the western side of the Balkan Peninsula.  The mountain has a peak altitude of about 5.4k ft. above sea level or around 1.65k m.  

Check out this drone video of the town of Trebinje in the Balkan country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Tribinje is the southernmost city in the country, near the tip of the downward-pointing arrow which the country resembles on a map, and close to the borders with Croatia (to the west) and Montenegro (to the south and east).  The town lies in a valley on a bend of the Trebišnjica River, which flows into the much larger Neretva River.  It's part of Republika Srpska, the home of most of Bosnia's Serb population.  

Explore the mountains of Bosnia Herzegovina by drone in this excellent video by AirVuz contributor filmingdrones.  The video was filmed in the mountains around the town of Trebinje, near the southern tip of the roughly arrow-shaped Balkan country.  The mountains here are known as the Bjelasnica, and they have altitudes ranging up to about 4.6k ft. above sea level around 1.4k m).  The Bjelasnica are just one of a series of mountain ranges which cover much of the lower (southern) half of the country.  

Check out this excellent drone view from the small Southeast European country of Bosnia Herzegovina.  Much of the footage was shot over the mountains which cover much of the land, which was part of Yugoslavia until the early 1990's and then went through a brutal civil war.  Starting at about the :58 mark, you'll see the Kravica Waterfall, one of the country's most famous natural sites. The video concludes with some nice shots of the Počitelj Fortress on the Neretva River; this structure dates to the 14th century.   

Here's a nice aerial tour of some well-known spots in the Southeast European country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, compliments of AdemKaya87.  The locations featured in the video include (1) the capital city of Sarajevo, famously besieged during the long Yugoslav Civil Wars of the 1990s; Doboj, a city on the Bosna River in the Republika Srpska region; Mostar, a famously well-preserved city in southern Bosnia; and Blagaj - Vrelo Bune, on the Buna River.  

Adanz75 used a drone to film a sad reminder of the violence that engulfed Yugoslavia just a few years after Sarajevo hosted the 1984 Olympic Winter Games.  Less than a decade later, Yugoslavia had dissolved and much of the region had plunged into a bloody civil war whose epicenter was in what is now Bosnia Herzegovina.  While Bosnia and indeed all of its former compatriots have since recovered, the remains of the Olympic site are a sad reminder of this late 20th century tragedy.

The city of Mostar is one of the cultural and historical gems of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  This very well-preserved medieval town is located in the south-central part of the country and is its fifth largest city.  It's most well known for its famous bridge over the Neretva River called Stari Most ("Old Bridge").   In this video, Alex Avsharov used his DJI Mavic Air to give us a breathtaking aerial view of Mostar and its bridge, which was heavily damaged in the Yugoslav civil war of the mid-1990's.  

Bosnia Herzegovina is the most ethnically and religiously diverse of the former Yugoslavian countries.  Unlike other parts of the Balkans which had spent long periods under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, the people of Bosnia largely adopted the Islamic faith, although the Muslim majority has generally peacefully existed with substantial Catholic and Eastern Orthodox minorities.  Contributor Dan Drone had these ideas in mind when he created this amazing drone video from a trip to this ancient and beautiful land.
