Multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner davetke2002 brings us this magnificent drone video from Hạ Long Bay in Vietnam.  An inlet of the South China Sea, the bay is part of the province of Quảng Ninh, near the northeastern corner of the country.  Hạ Long Bay, which covers an area of about 600 square mi. (around 1.6k square km), is famous for its nearly 2,000 islands, most of which are tiny islets made of limestone karst.  In recent years, it's become one of Vietnam's top tourist destinations.   

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Galax brings us this stunning drone video from the medieval hilltop town of Gerace in southern Italy.  Gerace is situated in the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, the westernmost and largest of the five provinces which make up the region of Calabria near the "toe" of Italy .  The town sits atop a rocky hill about a half-dozen miles (around 10 km) inland from the town of Locri.  According to legend, the town was founded in the 9th century AD by people fleeing a Saracen attack.  

AirVuz contributor Albion Drones used the lightweight DJI Mini 3 Pro drone to create this impressive aerial tour of Manchester, one of the UK's largest and most important cities.  While Manchester dates to medieval times, it was only in the 19th century that it emerged as a major city, when it became in effect the center of the Industrial Revolution.  While Manchester's economic fortunes went into steep decline after World War II, since the late 1990's it has enjoyed a resurgence as a media, entertainment, and cultural center.  

Chec out this excellent drone video of Tallinn, Estonia by contributor photoexpert.eu.  Filmed with a DJI Air 2S drone, the video opens with shots of Toompea Castle and the churches of the walled old city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe.  Starting at about the :25 mark, you'll see the modern skyscrapers of the Maakri District, Tallinn's business and financial center.  Estonia's political and cultural capital, Tallinn lies on the Gulf of Finland, an inlet of the Baltic Sea.  

AirVuz contributor BonFPV earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this outstandibg first person view (FPV) drone video of the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces in the interior of China.  The terraces are concentrated in Yuanyang County in Yunnan, a province which covers much of China's southern borders with Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos.  The terraces, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage site, have a history going back over 1,200 years.  They lie along the southern banks of the Hong River (aka the Red River).  

Top AirVuz contributor Dronescapes Ireland earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this excellent drone video tour of Ireland, which was filmed with a 70mm wide-angle lens.  At the :06 mark, you'll see the ruins of Dunamase Castle in the interior County Laois.  At :31, you'll see the oratory atop Croagh Patrick in County Mayo, followed by Dublin at :37.  At :42, you'll see Quin Abby, a Franciscan friary in County Claire, in the west of Ireland.  Other highlights include the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary (1:04) and more.  

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone reel by Polish creator and FPV pilot Lukasz Lewenda.  The reel features an impressive variety of shots, including some amazing indoor "cinewhoop" style shots.  Outdoor shots include some amazing views of the Dneiper River, central Kiev, and the Carpathian Mountains.  You'll also be treated to some great dynamic/chase shots of cars and bikers.  

There's something for everyone in this fantastic drone demo reel by top AirVuz contributor KristianFPV.  The reel consists primarily of first person view (FPV) drone footage, with some cinematic gimbal-stabilized shots thrown into the mix.  Starting at the :13 mark, there's a series of dramatic chase shots, followed (at the :27 mark) by an epic shot of a biker doing an aerial jump sequence.  At the 1:05 mark, you'll cruise along a mountain ridge, and at 1:27 you'll chase a golf ball as it's hit off of a tee.  

AirVuz contributor 5rock brings us this excellent drone video of the South Pacific island of Makatea.  Makatea is one of the Tuamotus, a group of about 80 islands spread across a vast area and part of French Polynesia.  Surrounded by cliffs and with a plateau covering much of its interior, Makatea covers about nine square mi. (around 24 square km) and is about five mi. long (around nine km) at its longest.  Once home to a (now-closed) phosphate mine, it has a permanent population of only a few dozen residents.

Take a tour of a recently renovated luxury hotel on the French Riviera in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Master Media Lab.  THe hotel is called the Hôtel Château de Théoule, and it's located in the resort village of Théoule-sur-Mer, just south of Cannes in the department of Alpes-Maritimes.  Situated at the foot of the Estérel Mountains, and overlooking the Mediterranean, the hotel is an ideal setting to enjoy the legendary Riviera and all it has to offer.  The property is part of the Millesime Collection.  

Top AirVuz contributor Mauro Pagliai brings us this stunning drone footage of the Via Crucis (Way of the Cross) ceremony in Rome, Italy.  Held on the evening of Good Friday at the Colosseum, the procession is an important part of Rome's observation of the Easter Holiday.  For the 2024 ceremony, Pope Francis opted out of leading the Via Crucis (as is the tradition) at the last minute due to concerns about the pontiff's health.  Around 25,000 people attended the Via Crucis for the 2024 ceremony.   

Enjoy these relaxing aerial views of the Azores islands by top AirVuz contributor and pilot photoexpert.eu.  Starting at the :40 mark, there's a great shot of the Lagoa do Fogo crater lake in the center of São Miguel, the main island in this Portuguese North Atlantic Ocean archipelago.  Starting at around 2:00, there are a series of shots of some of the famous miradouro's (viewpoints) along the island's coastline.  Just after 6:00, you'll see the Lagoa das Sete Cidades, another crater lake, on the western end of the island.  

AirVuz contributor photoexpert.eu brings us this excellent drone video of Sliema, a port resort town on the Mediteranean island of Malta.  Sliema is situated just north of the Grand Harbor on the eastern side of the island, not far from the capital, Valletta.  With about 20k permanent residents, it's considered one of the more affluent Maltese towns.  It's part of the Northern Harbor District, a region of the island which covers the area north and west of the Grand Harbor.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mini 3 Pro.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Cinematic_Ibiza brings us this stunning drone video from the Spanish island of Ibiza.  Shot with a GoPro mounted to a first person view (FPV) drone as well as a DJI Air 3, the video was filmed on a day when the island was partially covered with clouds.  Ibiza is the third-largest (second-largest by population) of the Balearic Islands, which also include Mallorca and Menorca and are located off the Spanish coast in the Western Mediteranean Sea.  

Take in some spectacular aerial view of Greece's Pindus Mountains in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Too_close_to_the_sun.  The Pindus run on a roughly north-south course about 100 mi. long (around 160 km), extending into southern Albania.  They are part of the Dinaric Alps, a chain of mountain ranges which runs down the western side of the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe.  The highest peak in the Pindus is about 8.7k ft. above sea level or around 2.6k m.  

Check out these drone views of the African island of Santo Antão, compliments of AirVuz contributor mitevisuals.  Santo Antão is the westernmost island of Cape Verde, an archipelago nation of ten islands which lie a few hundred mi./km off of Cap-Vert, the westernmost point of the African continent.  Santo Antão covers an area of just over 300 square mi. (a little under 800 square km) and has a permanent population of about 38k as of 2019.  The video was filmed with a DJI Air 3 drone.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of an off-road motorcycle race in North Africa, compliments of AirVuz contributor Master Media Lab.  The Casteu Trophy is an enduro race held in Merzouga, Morocco, which is deep in the Sahara Desert and close to Morocco's western border with Algeria.  The Casteu Trophy race was inspired by the famous Dakar Rally, which is now held in Saudi Arabia but which originated in Northern Africa.  This video was picked as the Drone Video of the Week in late March of 2024.  

Top AirVuz contributor mikereidphotography earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this excellent drone video of a ferry departing a small port in Alaska.  Filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3, the video captures the ferry heading into Frederick Sound, a body of water that runs through the islands of the Alexander Archipelago at the southern end of Alaska's territory along the Pacific Ocean.  The ferries here are part of the Alaska Marine Highway, a ferry service operated by the state of Alaska.  

Top AirVuz contributor earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist in March, 2023 with this fantastic video from the Durmitor Mountains in Montenegro.  Located in the northern part of this Balkan country, the limestone peaks are part of the Dinaric Alps chain which runs down the western side of the Balkan Peninsula.  The video features shots of Sedlena Greva mountain at the :37 mark, Savin Kuk mountain (:46), Medjed mountain (:49), and Black Lake (:58); starting at 1:07 there's a fantastic first person view (FPV) drone shot skimming along a ridge.  

Top AirVuz contributor Lukasz Lewenda put together this fantastic first person view (FPV) travel reel from Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands archipelago off the coast of Northern Africa.  Much of the video was filmed around the island's legendary coastline, and you'll be treated to some outstanding surfing shots.  You'll also explore the mountainous interior of the island.  This video was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week and was also a FPV Pilots to Watch pick. 

Top AirVuz contributor Alexandre Velluet x Scandia Productions was picked as the Winner of the Drone Video of the Week in mid-March, 2023 with this fantastic travel video from the French Alps.  The video was created with footage from the DJI Mavic Cine 3 and a first person view (FPV) drone, along with shots from a Sony ground camera.  Follow along with this talented pilot/content creator and his companion as they take a four-wheel journey through some of the world's most spectacular alpine scenery.  

Top AirVuz contributor Nelstill brings us this outstanding DVOW Finalist drone video of the Berca Mud Volcanoes, one of the most well known natural sights in Romania.  They are located near the town of Berca, in the Wallachia (Muntenia) region of the country, roughly halfway between Brasov (one of the main cities in the Transylvania region) and the national capital Bucharest.  The structures aren't actually volcanoes; they are caused by saltwater and mud pushed up by gas eruptions thousands of meters/ft. below the surface.

Take an aerial tour of the Portuguese island of São Miguel in this excellent travel video by ravs.  São Miguel is the largest and most populous of the Azores, a chain of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean.  Created primarily with drone footage, but with some excellent ground camera shots mixed in, the video will take you over and around the island, which (for reasons which will be obvious when you watch the video) is nicknamed the Green Island.  At the 2:09 mark, there's a shot of the Vila Franca Islet off the island's western tip.  

Weighing only about a pound (around a half a kg), the DJI Air 3 is a perfect aerial photography platform for content creators needing a lightweight drone.  Witness this outstanding video by top AirVuz contributor Karem Hajoj, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in March of 2024.  The video was filmed over the Dolomite Mountains in the South Tyrol province of northeastern Italy.  A subchain of the Southern Limestone Alps, the Dolomite mountains offer some of Europe's most spectacular alpine scenery.  

Top AirVuz contributor ChristianDX used a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone to create this stunning aerial tour of Italy.  At the :17 mark, you'll see the Volta Lighthouse on Lake Como, and at :29 you'll see the "white city" of Ostuni, which sits atop a hill in the southern region of Apulia.  At :53, you'll see San Giulio Island on Lake Orta in the northern region of Piedmont.  Other highlights include Fort Bard, also in Piedmont (1:27), the Castle of Sirmione on Lake Garda (2:11), and more.  This video was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.  

While Iceland is an increasingly popular tourist destination, most travelers to the island stay along the Ring Road (aka Route 1), which runs a course of about 820 mi. (about 1.3k km) around the island's periphery.  Iceland's mountainous interior, known as the Highlands, is still largely pristine wilderness, accessible only by those equipped with appropriate four-wheel transportation.  In this amazing video by top contributor haussmannvisuals, you'll be treated to a full 17 minutes worth of drone footage from the Icelandic Highlands.  

Top AirVuz contributor Jan Barančík - DronistaCZ has been amongst the most successful drone pilots who have transitioned from gimbal-stabilized aerial photography to the fast-paced world of first person view (FPV) drones.  Opening with some BMX bike chasing shots, at about the :20 mark you'll see some race car shots, and at the :25 mark there's an incredible shot of an airplane doing a nearly-vertical takeoff.  Further on, you'll fly over an (American) football game as well as a hockey match, soar over a music concert, and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor Maxandre Brunet was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this rather haunting video of winter on the French island of Corsica.  The video was filmed in the forest near the town of Vizzavona, which lies in the mountainous interior of the island, near its center.  Beautifully color-graded, the video features some epic shots of Monte d'Oro, one of the tallest mountains on the island, which has a peak altitude of a bit over 7.8k ft. above sea level (around 2.4k m).  

Put the awesome cinematic power of the DJI Mavic Pro 3 in the hands of a top content creator traveling through some of the most beautiful alpine scenery in Europe, and what you get is this amazing piece from AirVuz contributor timroosjen, which was picked as the Drone Video of the Week Winner in March of 2023.  The video was filmed over the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy.  Part of the Southern Limestone Alps, the Dolomites cover parts of several provinces in the Trentino-Alto-Adigio and Veneto region of the country.  

Check out this action-packed first person view (FPV) drone reel by top contributor and FPV pilot CataFpv.  Picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early March of 2024, the video opens with an epic waterfall flyover, a shot of some Red Bull drift cars, and a motorcycle chase scene.  And it just keeps coming - further on in the reel, you'll chase boats, dive a church tower, follow a roller coaster track, drop through a basket hoop, chase a powered paraglider, fly over a music concert, and much more.  

Top AirVuz contributor ALFPV put together some of his best alpine drone footage from 2023 and 2024 into this fantastic reel, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in early March of 2024.  Filmed with a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, which weighs only about 8 oz. (around 250 g) and is thus perfect for mountain travel, the video will take you over some of the most spectacular peaks in Europe.  Locations include the mountains of northern Norway and the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy.  

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor seb-depp of England's Mam Tor, a mountain in the Peak District of England.  Also known as Shivering Mountain, the 1.7k ft. tall (500 m) peak is situated in Derbyshire, one of the counties of the East Midlands region.  The mountain, which is topped by a number of Bronze and Iron Age hill forts, takes its distinctive shape from the landslips which created a series of small hills at the base of the mountain's eastern face.  

Check out this beautiful drone video of Tongyeong, South Korea by AirVuz contributor and pilot FSJR.  Tongyeong is located in the South Gyeongsang Province, which covers a portion of the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula.  The city lies on a peninsula which is connected by bridges to some of the numerous islands on South Korea's southern coast.  A popular tourist destination, Tongyeong is about an hour's drive from Busan, which lies in the southeastern corner of the country and is South Korea's second-largest city.  

In this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Shamkhal_fpv, you'll see an unusual winter activity - a petranboard race sponsored by Red Bull in northeastern Turkey.  Petranboards, also called Lazboards, are essentially the ancestors of the modern snowboard.  Made of wood, they emerged on the Petran Plateau in the mountains of Rize, a province which is set in the Pontic Mountains that run roughly parallel to the Black Sea coastline.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

For a first upload, brand-new contributor ravs brings us this breathtaking video from the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelago of the North Atlantic Ocean.  With aerial footage from a DJI Air 2 supplemented with ground camera shots, the video features footage from the following locations: the village of Gásadalur, Lake Sørvágsvatn, Trælanípa Cliff Hike, and Trøllkonufingur (Witch's Finger), on the island of Vágar; Kallur Lighthouse, on Kalsoy; the village of Saksun and Black Sand Beach, on Stremoy; and the Hvíthamar viewpoint on Eysturoy.

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot salva.tours brings us this outstanding FPV video from a famous beach on the Italian island of Sardinia.  It's called Su Giudeu Beach, and it's located one of of the peninsulas at the southern tip of the island, about an hour's drive south of Cagliari (the main city of southern Sardinia).  In a single shot, you'll cruise along the the mains stretch of the beach, skimming just inches about the water, then turn out to sea to fly between the two tiny islands which lie just offshore.  

AirVuz contributor nayyar2006 brings us this fascinating drone video of an important Bronze Age ancient ruins site in Pakistan.  It's called Harappa, and it's located a few mi./km north of the city of Sahiwal in the province of Punjab.  Harappa is one of the best surviving archaelogical sites from the Indus Valley Civilization, which emerged on the plain of the Indus River around 3300 BC and lasted until around 1300 BC.  Harappa is believed to have over 20k inhabitants at its height, making it one of the civilization's largest cities.  

Contributor EYEINTHESKYDRONE4K brings us this rare aerial video of a famous church in Scotland called Rosslyn Chapel.  It's located in the village of Roslin, just south of Edinburgh in the Lowland county of Midlothian.  Founded in the 15th century, it was closed to worship for centuries following the Scottish Reformation, re-opening as a Scottish Episcopal Church in the 19th century.  Connected to the Knights Templar, it was featured in the novel the Da Vinci Code and was used to film the 2006 movie adaptation of Dan Brown's blockbuster.  

Top AirVuz contributor 8 Fifty Productions brings us this excellent drone video of Grayton Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida.  Grayton Beach is located roughly halfway between the Panhandle towns of Destin and Panama City, on the southern (Gulf-facing) side of the peninsula which forms the southern side of Choctawhatchee Bay.  The village sits along a roughly 20 mi. (around 35 km) stretch of beaches which are interspersed with dune lakes.  Much of the area around the village not on the waterfront is part of Grayton Beach State Park.  

Check out this drone video of the town of Trebinje in the Balkan country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Tribinje is the southernmost city in the country, near the tip of the downward-pointing arrow which the country resembles on a map, and close to the borders with Croatia (to the west) and Montenegro (to the south and east).  The town lies in a valley on a bend of the Trebišnjica River, which flows into the much larger Neretva River.  It's part of Republika Srpska, the home of most of Bosnia's Serb population.  

Located in the Melbourne suburb of St. Kilda, Luna Park is one of the oldest amusement parks in Australia.  Seen in this video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Gizmo Drones, the park is situated on the shores of Port Phillip Bay, just a few mi./km south of the Melbourne CBD.  The park, which employed some of the designers who helped to build New York City's Coney Island park, opened in 1912.  Its Scenic Railway rollercoaster, which dates to the park's opening, is the oldest continuously-running rollercoaster in the world.  

Check out this stunning drone video from New York City, compliments of contributor vuralelibol.  Filmed on a day when Manhattan was covered in fog, the video opens with a shot of Hudson Yards, the giant new development on the West Side of Manhattan.   At the :20 mark, there's a magnificent shot of the spire of the Empire State Building poking through the clouds.  The video concludes with a long show looking north towards Central Park, with the Empire State Building in the foreground and the skyscrapers of Billionaires' Row in the distance.

Top AirVuz contributor rlardon picked the mountains of Switzerland's Glarnerland for his first post-COVID drone photography trip, from which he created this stunning video.  Glarnerland is the sometimes-used name for the valley of the River Linthe in east-central Switzerland.  The video features footage of the Tödi and Clariden mountain, the Griesslisee hiking area, the Ortstock mountain, the Berglistüber Waterfall.   You'll also see the Limmernsee reservoir, the Klausenpass in the neighboring canton of Uri, and the Braunwald resort.  

Former DVOW Finalist DroneTheLakes brings us this excellent aerial video of a small island off the coast of Northern Africa.  It's called Sal, and it's part of the archipelago nation of Cape Verde.  Situated near the eastern end of the chain, which consists of ten main islands, Sal is about 360 mi. (560 km) off of the African coast near its westernmost point.  The island is known for its sunny skies and beautiful sandy beaches.   It has a permanent population of about 40k, making it one of the 3-4 most populous of the chain.  

Explore the Portguese island of Madeira in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Cinelifter Media, which incorporates some outstanding FPV drone footage as well as ground camera shots.  The first part of the video was filmed in the island's interior, most of which is covered by mountains and/or rain forests.  At about the 1:35 mark, you'll head for the island's coast, and at 1:48 you'll see the iconic village of Seixal, on the northern coast.   Further on, you'll see some epic FPV shots skimming over Madeira's mountain ridges.  

Top AirVuz contributor MichasWelt earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot in March of 2024 with this fantastic drone video from the Highlands of Iceland.  The Highlands cover much of the interior of the island, and are far less accessible than the sights along the ring road which circles much of Iceland.   With few paved roads, it's generally only seen by travelers in four wheel vehicles - in this case, a Land Rover Super Defender.  The video includes some spectacular first person view (FPV) drone shots.  

Check out these breathtaking drone views of a tiny island off the larger Italian island of Sardinia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Sardegna World.  Tavolara Island is located off of Sardinia's northeastern coast in the Tyrrhenian Sea (a large inlet of the Mediterranean), near the southern entrance to the Gulf of Olbia.  About two miles (3 km) long by .6 mi. (a km) wide, and largely surrounded by cliffs, the island has only a few inhabitants; most were cleared in the 1960's to make way for a NATO radio listening station.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Thitou Beb brings us this fantastic drone video from Iceland.  The video opens with shots of the famous Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, one of the island's most well-known spots and a filming scene for a number of high-profile movies.  Then you'll head into the interior, much of which is covered by mountains and plateaus.  At the 1:10 mark, there's a spectacular shot of a waterfall running over a sheer cliff, followed by a number of other waterfall shots.  

Explore Ireland by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic FPV travel piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Scottyblue77.    The video was filmed in the course of a trip through the Emerald Isle in January of 2024.  Opening with shots of the Wicklow Mountains, at about the :32 mark you'll fly through a giant rock formation on the Wild Atlantic Way.   Further on in the piece, you'll sail past ancient castles and monasteries, cruise over some of the "heads" or peninsulas on the Irish coast, and more.  

AirVuz contributor Albion Drones brings us this excellent aerial tour of the city of Birmingham, England.  Birmingham is the largest city in the English Midlands region of the United Kingdom, and the second-largest city of the UK after London.  A small market town for much of its history, Birmingham came into its own during the Industrial Revolution, in which it became one of the world's great centers of manufacturing.  The video was filmed at sunrise flying from Centenary Square, in the heart of the city.  

If you've ever wondered how fast FPV drones can go, you definitely need to check out this video by legendary FPV pilot ShaggyFPV.   He was able to film three-time (as of 2024) Formula One Champion driver Max Verstappen taking a lap around the Silverstone Circuit, home of the British Grand Prix.  In the lower right corner of the video, you'll see the on-screen display from his FPV goggles, which has a speed readout showing his drone getting to just under 300 km/hr (about 180 mph) as he keeps up with the car on the rain-slickened track.   

The Southwestern USA is known in part for its unique geological features.  One of the most unusual is the one seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor RobSkyHigh: the Waterpocket Fold.  The geological structure runs for close to 100 mi. (around 160 km) through three counties in southern Utah.  It was formed during a geological period known as the Laramide orogeny, which began about 80 million years ago and ran for around 40 million years, a period during which the present-day Rocky Mountains were formed.  

In this outstanding video by AirVuz contributor Hugo LE CORF, you'll get a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a storied stretch of coastline in northwestern France.  The video was filmed along the coast of the department of Côtes d’Armor, which covers about half the northern side of the Breton Peninsula.   The video features footage from the following locations, most of which lie along a stretch known as the Pink Granite Coast: Pordic, Binic, Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Tréveneuc, Perros-Guirec, Ploumanach, and Gwin Zégale

AirVuz contributor Flysabunch earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early March of 2024 with this fantastic FPV dive down one of the tallest skyscrapers in Houston, Texas.  The Williams Tower is a 64 story building in the city's Galleria area, southwest of Downtown.  Standing 902 ft. tall (275 m), it's the fourth-tallest building in Texas as of 2024.  When it opened in 1983, it had the distinction of being the world's tallest building not built in a downtown district, and it remains the tallest such building in the USA.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot maga.fpv earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early March of 2024 with this outstanding 2023 FPV reel, which was filmed in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.  The video opens with some epic chase shots: in order, a drift car, a motocross rider, an inflatable raft bring pulled by a jetski, a snowboarder, and a hot air balloon.  Further on, you'll see some nice "cinewhoop" indoor shots, some mountain surfing, a carnival, a skyscraper dive, and more.  

In this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video, you'll cruise the coast around one of the most famous beaches in Portugal.  Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa) is located in the heart of the Portuguese Riviera, the stretch of Atlantic coastline west and northwest of Lisbon.  Ursa Beach is distinguished by the giant rock formations which sit just off the shore, which are thoroughly explored in the video.  At about the :47 mark, you'll pass through a narrow gap at the base of one of these rock behemoths.  

In this outstanding video by former Drone  Video of the Week Winner PureCreations.pl, you'll get a thrilling first person view (FPV) drone tour of the city of Bytom, Poland.  Bytom is one of the largest cities of Silesia, a highly industrialized region of southern Poland.  Established in the 12th century, Bytom is one of the oldest Silesian cities, and it was part of Germany (including the earlier state of Prussia) for about 200 years prior to the end of World War II.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.

Top AirVuz contributor and FPV drone piloting company Indoor Drone Tours brings us this excellent video of the ceremony held to retire the jersey of legendary hockey player Chris Chelios.  The ceremony was held at United Center in Chicago, home of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League, for whom Chelios played during the peak of his career from 1990-1999.  During his 26 seasons in the NHL, he set numerous records, and played on three Stanley Cup winning teams.  He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2013.   

While fjords - long, narrow sea inlets formed by glaciers - can be found in various places around the world, they are most closely associated with Norway, particularly the southern half of the country's long western coastline.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor Charmuel, you'll explore some of this magical natural scenery.  The video features footage from the Sognefjellsvegen scenic road, the Bøverbrean glacier (Krossbu), the Skjervefossen waterfall, the Nærøyfjord, the Geirangerfjord, and the famous Trollstigen road.

Take an aerial tour of the South Wales region of the UK in this excellent drone video by SouthCoastDronesUK.  The video opens with a pull-out view of the Prince of Wales Bridge, connects Wales to England over the Severn River.  The next stop is Caldicot Castle, a historic building in Monmouthshire. At the 1:06 mark, you'll see the town of Rhondda, a former coal-mining town in Glamorgan.  Other highlights include an old mining colliery (1:18), Caerphilly Castle (1:30), Castel Coch (1:58), Aberfan (2:25), and more.  

AirVuz contributor Sardegna World used a DJI Mavic Pro 3 to create this stunning aerial video of a tiny islet off the large French Mediterranean island of Corsica.  Foradada Island is located just off the western side of Cape Caccia, a peninsula which extends off the island's northwestern coastline near the town of Sassari (the main city of northwestern Corsica).  Just before the 1:50 mark, there's a spectacular shot of the Cape Caccia Lighthouse (with the island in the background); it dates to the 1860's and is still operational.    

In this fanastic first person view (FPV) drone video by new contributor Sardegna World, you'll get a highly cinematic FPV of the area around Capo Figari, a peninsula which extends off of the island's northeastern coastline.  In the video, you'll cruise along a spectacular moutain ridge and in a single shot dive down to the shoreline of the Gulf of Olbia.  In the second shot, you'll head across a few hundred yards/meters of open water to reach the tiny uninhabited Figarolo Island, at the northeastern entrance to the Gulf of Olbia.  

Explore the tropical paradise of Palawan Island in the Philippines with this excellent piece by top contributor Omer Gokcen.  Palawan is the westernmost of the major islands of the archipelago, and in recent years it's emerged as one of the most popular Asian beach destinations.  When you watch the video, you'll see why - with its white sand beaches, stunning mountains, and distinctive paraw canoes, Palawan is a visual delight.  Much of the video was filmed around El Nido, a beach district in the northern part of the island.  

Explore the great city of Porto, Portugal from above in this excellent video by former DVOW Winner dronesantana007.  The video opens with a beautiful shot of the Ribeira district on the northern (right) bank of the Douro River, gradually revealing the famous Dom Luís I Bridge.  Next stop is the tower of the Clérigos Church, a Baroque masterpiece.  Just before 1:00, you'll see the Porto Cathedral, and at 1:55 there's another great shot of the Ribeira waterfront.  Other highlights include the Porto City Hall, seen just before 5:00.  

Chasing rally cars with a first person view (FPV) drone is much harder than following cars racing around predictable tracks.  In this video by top AirVuz contributor BlagaFly, you'll get to see the results of his work filming the Rally Sarma 2024 winter rally event, a yearly event held in the Baltic republic of Latvia.  The video follows the cars racing down snow-covered Latvia roads and even includes some night footage.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2024.  

Titchfield Abbey is a monastery-turned-country house in Hampshire, one of the counties of southern England.  Seen in this drone video by SouthCoastDronesUK, the abbey originally dates to the 13th century.  Closed in 1537 by King Henry VII during the English Reformation, it was converted into a mansion by one of the king's powerful lieutenants, Thomas Wriothesley, 1st Earl of Southampton.  Several decades later, it became the home of Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton, who was one of the main patrons of William Shakespeare.  

SouthCoastDronesUK brings us this excellent drone video of Arundel Castle, one of the great cultural landmarks of South England.  Located in its namesake town in West Sussex, the castle was established by a lieutenants of William the Conqueror following the Norman invasion of England in 1066.  Considered one of the great Norman castles, it's the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk.  Arundel Castle was used as a filming location for the 1994 movie The Madness of King George, and more recently for a scene in the 2017 blockbuster Wonder Woman.

Enjoy these drone views of the famous Stonehenge monument on a misty morning, compliments of AirVuz contributor SouthCoastDronesUK.  Stonehenge is a famous neolithic age ring of stones in southwestern England and is estimated to be 4-5,000 years old.  The purpose and precise construction date(s) of Stonehenge continue to be matters of some debate.  One of the most recognized and important cultural sites in the United Kingdom, Stronehenge was the setting for the climax of Thomas Hardy's 1891 classic novel Tess of the D'Urbevilles.

Portchester Castle is one of the most famous castles in the UK.  Seen in this drone video by SouthCoastDronesUK, it's located near the town of Fareham, in the northwest corner of Portsmouth Harbour in Hampshire County on England's southern coast.  Portchester was built on the site of a Roman-era fortress, and like the fortress it takes advantage of the important strategic position relative to the harbor.  Portchester was picked as one of the top 10 English castles in a recent Facebook survey conducted by English Heritage.  

Check out these jaw-dropping 4K drone views of Iceland's Fagradalsfjall volcano as it underwent a series of eruptions beginning in 2021.  One of the world's most spectacular geological events in recent years, the Fagradalsfjall eruptions were the first to occur on the Reykjanes Peninsula (near the capital, Reykjavik) in over 800 years.   The eruptions drew drone pilots from around the world to film the massive lava flows which emerged from great fissures in the earth.  This is part of Drone TV's growing 4K library.

In this outstanding video by former DVOW Finalist Hashtaggu, you'll get an aerial view of sunset on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica.  The video was filmed around Bastelicaccia, which is situated about two-thirds of the way down Corsica's western coastline.  Bastelicaccia lies on one of a series of bays which characterize most of western Corsica.  The glorious sunsets afforded to these western-facing shores are seen by comparatively few, with the vast majority of Corsica's residents and tourists on its eastern coastline.    

To see why the Italian island of Sardinia is becoming something of a magnet for adventurous first person view (FPV) drone pilots, check out this fantastic video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Sardegna World.  It was filmed skimming along Doctor's Beach (Spiaggia del dottore).  The beach lies on the southern side of Cape Ceraso, the northern side of which forms part of the Gulf of Olbia.  As you'll see in the video, there's not a soul in sight, allowing this skilled pilot to take full advantage of the spectacular coastal scenery.  

The Lapland region of Finland, which covers the northern part of the giant Scandinavian country, is home to some of the best winter scenery anywhere in the world.  In this piece by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist timoksanen, you'll get an aerial view of the area around the village of Äkäslompolo during the depths of winter.  It's part of the municipality of Kolari, which covers a section of western Lapland near the border with neighboring Sweden.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic 3 drone.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist emrahkarakoc brings us this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video of Mardin, a very old city in southeastern Turkey.  Mardin is the capital of the province of the same name, in Turkey's Southeastern Anatolia region.  The city lies just a short distance north of the Syrian border.  Mardin has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and was part of two different Assyrian empires.  Most of its prominent architecture dates to its time under a Turkmen dynasty in the 11th-12th centuries.  

Check out these amazing aerial views of the Portuguese island of Madeira, compliments of new contributor DanTheDroneMan.  The video was created with footage from a variety of drones (including FPV drones) over the course of a late 2023 trip to the island.  The video opens with a series of relaxing shots over the island's mountains, coastline, and iconic hillside towns.  At the 1:39 mark, there's a marvelous top-down shot of an offshore rock formation, and further on there are some thrilling FPV ridge-skimming and canyon-diving shots.  

In this video by top AirVuz contributor ArturCarvalho, you'll take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of the Alentejo region of Portugal.  Alentejo is the next-to-southernmost region of mainland Portugal.  While it encompasses nearly a third of the country's land area, it's comparatively sparsely populated with only 5% of its population.  The video will take you through towns such as Monção and Castelo de Vide and over some of the iconic castles and villages which give the region its distinctive flavor.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner sinaysky brings us this stunning drone video of Porto Montenegro, an exclusive marina and yachting paradise in the small Balkan nation of Montenegro.  Located in the Bay of Kotor, the world-renowned marina has become famous for its magnificent waterfront residences, luxury shops, million-dollar yachts, epic swimming pools, and more.  The first comprehensive deep water marina on the Adriatic Sea, Porto Montenegro is situated in Tivat, one of the principal towns on the bay.

Top AirVuz contributor Jan Barančík (DronistaCZ) brings us this stunning drone video of the Hrubý Jeseník, a mountain range of the Czech Republic in Central Europe.  The range, which is part of the Eastern Sudetes range, runs through a portion of Moravia in the northeastern corner of the country.  The Sudetes are considered foothills of the greater Carpathian range which covers much of Slovakia, southern Poland, and Romania.  The Hrubý Jeseník are home to the tallest mountains in this Central European country.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Stanislav Banschikov spent a month and and a half traveling through Thailand by car, covering nearly two thousand miles (3k km) and producing this stunning FPV travel video.  The video features adrenaline packed shots from the Thai coast and interior, with some spectacular VFX-enhanced transitions to further increase the entertainment value of his footage.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2024.

Explore one of the most modern sections of Istanbul, Turkey in this fantastic drone video by top AirVuz contributor Omer Gokcen.  The area over which he's flying is the Zincirlikuyu quarter of the Şişli District, on the European (western) side of the Bosphorus.  Part of the Istanbul Central Business District, a massive zone of development which extends northeast from the city core around the Golden Horn, Zincirlikuyu is home to a number of important transport junctions and is close to the northern entrance to the (First) Bosphorus Bridge.  

Former DVOW Finalist marco.trastu brings us this excellent drone video of São Miguel Island, the largest member of Portugal's Azores archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video opens with gorgeous shots of the interior of the island, which is sometimes called the Green Island.  Starting at about the :30 mark, you'll head to the island's coast, and at 1:40 you'll see the islet of Vila Franca do Campo, on the southern coastline.  Other highlights include the Ponta do Arnel Lighthouse (2:13) and the Lagoon of Seven Cities (2:17).

Take a virtual tour of a gaming museum in Lucerne, Switzerland with this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor cineflight.  Filmed in a single shot (no easy feat in itself), the video will take you through the highly innovative museum, which features games as diverse as pinball machines, board games, early video games, and the most modern interactive VR games.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2024.  The video was recorded with a GoPro Hero 11 "naked" action camera.  

In this excellent piece by former DVOW Winner RG Cam, you'll take a leisurely aerial exploration of the city of Natal, Brazil.  Capital of the northeastern state of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal is one of the two dozen largest cities in this giant South American country.  The closest Brazilian city to Europe and Asia, Natal has become an important tourist destination, famous for its sandy white beaches.  Most of the video was filmed over and around these beaches and it includes some fanstastic shots of paragliders flying over them.  

The Castle of Loarre (Castillo de Loarre) is one of the oldest in Spain.  Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor Michael Visual, it's located in Huesca, the northernmost of the three provinces of the Aragon region.  It was constructed in the 11th-12th centuries, when the area lay on the frontier between Christian and Muslim Europe.  The complex, which didn't take on its outer walls and their towers until the 14th century, includes numerous buildings, some of which lie outside of the castle walls, such as an 11th century church.    

Situated on some of the world's most fought-over lands, it's perhaps not surprising that Pakistan is home to some of its most famous fortresses.  In this drone video by contributor nayyar2006, you'll take an aerial tour of some of the country's most well-known fortifications, including Derawar Fort (at the :51 mark), Naukot Fort (1:20), and Fort Ahmadabad (1:31).  The video concludes with extended tours of two of Pakistan's most famous forts: Rohtas Fort in Punjab, and the Ranikot Fort (considered the world's largest) in Sindh.  

Explore the southern Brazilian city of Balneário Camboriú from above in this excellent video by former DVOW Winner RG CAM.  Balneário Camboriú is situated roughly in the middle of the coastline of Santa Catarina, the middle of the three states which make up the country's Southern region.  It is one of the main urban tourist destinations in southern Brazil, with tourists swelling its population from about 150k to over a million during the peak summer months.  Its skyline includes some of the tallest buildings in the Southern Hemisphere.  

For a second upload to AirVuz, new contributor FlyBoy73 brings us this excellent drone video from Comb Wash Canyon in the Southwestern USA.  The canyon runs a course of about 35 mi. (around 60 km) through Utah's San Juan County, not far from the southeastern corner of the state.  The video was filmed along the eastern side of the wash, known as Comb Ridge, which is a series of cliffs rising up to 1k ft. (around 330 m) above the canyon floor.  The southern end of the canyon ends at the San Juan River.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Flyboy73 brings us this excellent drone video of a butte near the Four Corners area of the Western USA, where the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado meet.  Buttes are isolated rock formations caused by the erosion of layers of structurally weaker rock below a hard caprock, a pattern which is particularly common in this region.    While similar landforms are found in other parts of the world, the term "Butte" is typically only emplyed with respect to those in North America.
