Top AirVuz contributor SkyBee brings us this awesome drone video of Turkey's Roman Theatre of Aspendos, one of the best-preserved sites of the Antiquity.  Aspendos is situated in the southern province of Antalya, a few km/mi. inland and about 40 km (25 mi.) east of the provincial capital Antalya.  Built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the 2nd century AD, it could seat an audience of up to 13k people.  It later served as a palace before being restored as a theater, hosting seasonal opera and ballet performances.

Former DVOW Finalist MichasWelt brings us this stunning video from Indonesia, which includes extensive FPV drone footage.  The video opens with some stunning shots of the volcanoes of Java, including Bromo and Ijen.  Starting at about the 1:09 mark (and also at 1:35), you'll see some spectacular views of the Komodo Islands, including some nice shots of their namesake "dragon".  At 1:30, there's a spectacular dive into Java's Tumpak Sewu waterfall, and just before 2:00 you'll see the Kelimutu volcano on the island of Flores.

Check out these excellent drone views of a well-known church on the Italian Riviera, compliments of AirVuz contributor BDurren67.  The Church of San Pietro is located on a rocky spur in the town of Portovenere, at the western entrance into the Gulf of La Spezia.  It's less than an hour's drive southeast of the Cinque Terre towns in the region of Liguria.  The church is part of a small complex which originally dates to the 5th century AD, with the main structure dating to the 13th century during the period of Genoese rule.

AirVuz contributor filmingdrones used a DJI Mini Pro 3 drone to create this stunning video of the great Renaissance city of Florence, Italy.  At the :06 mark, there's a nice shot of the Arno River, with the core of the old city on its right bank.  Starting at about :15, there's a stunning shot heading toward the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), with the Piazza della Signoria in the foreground.  At :55, you'll get a close-up view of the Duomo, and at 1:24 you'll see the Ponte Vecchio, one of the world's most famous bridges.

New AirVuz contributor Graham Green brings us this excellent drone video from Western Australia.  The video was filmed during a road trip to the area around Cervantes, which is located about a two hour drive north of Perth (the WA state capital and largest city) along the coast.  The video includes footage of the dunes around Lancelin, roughly halfway to Cervantes.  Much of the video was filmed in the Pinnacles, an area of limestone formations in Nambung National Park just inland (east) of Cervantes.

Check out this drone video from the French Riviera, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Drone Eye Perspective.  The video was filmed over the town of Menton, which is the easternmost town on the French Riviera, just west of the border with neighboring Italy.  Once part of Monaco, it's been part of France since 1860.  The "star" of the video is the city's most recognizable landmark: the Saint-Michel-Archange basilica belltower, which was consecrated in 1675 and is considered a Baroque style masterpiece.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist David L brings us this excellent aerial tour of the waterways of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Located about 30 mi. (around 50 km) north of Miami on the legendary Gold Coast, Fort Lauderdale is sometimes called the Venice of the USA.  With many thousands of boats moored along its 165 mi. (around 266 km) of inland canals, it can also lay a good claim to be the country's boating capital.  As you'll see in the video, these boats come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from small skiffs to giant yachts.

Take an aerial tour of an iconic village in southern Italy, compliments of former Drone Video of the Week Winner Galax.  The subject of the video is Stilo, which is located on the southern side (bottom) of the "foot" of Italy in the province of Reggio Calabria.  Situated at the foot of Mount Consolino, the town is just a few mi./km from the coast, as you'll see just before the 1:00 mark.  At around 1:30, you'll see one of the town's most well-known landmarks: the Byzantine church Cattolica di Stilo.

Top AirVuz contributor FLY DOG used a DJI Mavic and a first person view (FPV) drone to create this stunning video of two Dakar Rally star motorcyclists taking on the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert in Morocco.  The riders are Stéphane Peterhansel, who has won the Dakar Rally 14 times (a record as of 2024), and rising Dhakar Rally star Pol Tarrésvideo.  The video was filmed near the village of Merzouga, which lies close to the country's eastern border with Algeria, on the western edge of the great desert.

Top AirVuz contributor Gustavo Quiroga used a DJI Air 3 drone to create this stunning aerial view of a spot in the Andes Mountains in Argentina.  The video was filmed near the town of Potrerillos, which lies on the eastern slopes of the Andes in the state of Mendoza.  Filmed after an Autumn snowfall, the video features shots of the reservoir of Potrerillos Dam, which was completed in the early 2000's and which provides hydroelectricity, drinking water, and irrigation to surrounding portions of the Potrerillos Valley.

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video of the famous Matterhorn mountain by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Livyu.  The video was filmed with a GoPro Hero 11 Mini camera strapped to a 6" FPV quad equipped with a long-range FPV setup.  Situated in the heart of the Pennine Alps in Switzerland, near the Italian border, the Matterhorn has one of the world's most perfectly symmetrical peaks of any mountain.  The Matterhorn has a summit altitude of about 14.7k ft. above sea level, or around 4.5k m.

Passing under the High Bridge of Chalkida with the Yacht During the Golden Hour

AirVuz contributor Jimmy_K brings us this rather stunning drone video of a yacht passing under the Greece's Euripus Bridge.  Opened in 1993, the cable-stayed span connects the city of Chalkida (Chalcis) on the island of Euboea with the Greek mainland to its west.  The Euripus Bridge has a total length of just under 2.3k ft. (a bit under 700 m), with its longest span measuring 705 ft. (215 m).  Greece's first cable-stayed road bridge, it's the longer and newer of the two bridges which span the strait.

(around 50 km) north of Warsaw.  Constructed by the French in the early 1800's during the Napoleonic Wars, it's one of the country's largest 19th century fortifications.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2024.

AirVuz contributor nunovalente brings us this excellent drone video of the giant Alqueva Dam project in Portugal.  The dam is situated on the Guadiana River, which originates in neighboring Spain and flows through southern Portugal into the Gulf of Cádiz.  The dam was completed in 2002, although the giant reservoir lake (the largest in Western Europe) wasn't fully filled until 2010.  In addition to providing hydroelectricity, the dam and reservoir helps to assure a steady water supply for the sometimes drought-prone region of Alentejo.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot WestPsydeFPV brings us this fantastic FPV video of the Fisher Towers rock formation in Utah.  Located about 16 mi. (around 25 km) northeast of Moab, the towers are made of Cutler sandstone and capped by rock of the Moenkopi Formation.  The tallest of the towers reaches a height of about 900 ft. (around 270 m) above the floor of the surrounding mesa.  A popular rock climbing spot, the Fisher Towers have appeared in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot goncaloafranco earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic video from Portugal.  The video was filmed at Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa), which is located just north of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe.  Ursab Beach is known for its jagged offshore rock formations, which are prominently featured in the video.  This area is part of the Portuguese Riviera, a legendary stretch of coastline of the province of Sintra, just west of Lisbon.

Former DVOW Winner davetke2002 brings us this excellent aerial video of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city.  The first stop is the Bitexco Financial Tower, which was the country's tallest building when completed in 2010 and is distinguished by its 52nd floor helipad.  At about the :40 mark, you'll see the Viet Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda, aka the National Pagoda of Vietnam.   The next stop is the Landmark 81 tower, which was completed in 2018 and is the country's tallest skyscraper.  Other highlights include Ho Chi Minh Square (2:13).

Former DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this fascinating aerial video from the southern part of Vietnam.  The first part of the video was filmed over the Củ Chi Tunnels, a network of underground passageways under a northern district of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) which was used by the Viet Cong guerilla fighters during the Vietnam war.  Starting at the 1:47 mark, you'll see the Vĩnh Tràng Temple southwest of HCMC, which was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the country's best-known Buddhist temple complexes.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot MazzaFPV brings us this spectacular FPV video from a famous beach in Portugal.  It's called Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa), and it's located in the Sintra province west of Lisbon, in the heart of the Portuguese Riviera.  The beach is known for its stunning offshore rock formations, which are used to great cinematic effect by this very skilled pilot.  With a hilarious introduction featuring his dog, the  video was filmed with a DJI Avata FPV drone.

From Lovers Key to Naples Florida Dronalism 2024 4K

Check out a pair of spots along the southwestern coast of Florida in this excellent video by top AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions.  The first spot is Lovers Key, which is a barrier island in the city of Bonita Springs, between Naples and Fort Myers.  Midway through the video, you'll head down the Gulf Coast a bit to the historic pier in Naples.  The pier was heavily damaged when Hurricane Ian hit Florida's western coast in 2022; it's currently partially closed pending re-construction.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Galax brings us this excellent drone video of a hilltop village in southern Italy called Motta Filocastro.  Part of the commune of Limbadi, Motta Filocastro is located in Vibo Valentia, one of the five provinces of the region of Calabria at the "toe" of peninsular Italy.   It's situated at the base of the broad peninsula which extends into the Tyrrhenian Sea.  The town was originally founded by Greek colonists during the Antiquity, between the 5th-7th centuries BC.

AirVuz contributor alexukexplorer created this stunning drone video of one of Scottish Highlands most famous landmarks: the Neist Point Lighthouse.  It's located on a narrow headland on the northwestern side of the Isle of Skye, the largest of the Inner Hebruides islands.  Built in 1909, and operated remotely since 1990, the lighthouse stands about 62 ft. tall (a bit under 20 m).  Its function is to protect shipping in the dangerous waters that separate the Inner Hebrides from the Outer Hebrides a bit further to the west.

Celtic Berauty - The Wildest Ireland

AirVuz contributor trollek74 brings us this fantastic drone video from a relatively unexplored corner of Ireland.  The video was filmed over and around the Beara Peninsula, one of several "fingers" jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean from the Emerald Isle's southwestern coast.  The Beara runs between two bays and has two small sandstone mountain ranges that cover much of its interior surface.  Split between County Cork and County Kerry the Beara's coastline forms part of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Like many top aerial videographers, top AirVuz contributor denisbarbas has ventured into the world of first person view (FPV) drones, which involve a much faster style of filming and require a higher degree of piloting skill.  In this reel, he's put together some of his best shots with the DJI Avata 2, a new FPV drone released by drone giant DJI.  Released in the winter of 2024, the Avata 2 weighs well under one pound (about 380 g) and can reach speeds of up to 60 mph (about 100 kph) in manual mode.

AirVuz contributor ravs earned a spot on the Drone Video of the Week Finalist list with this amazing travel video from Norway's Lofoten Islands.  Created with a combination of drone and ground camera footage, at the :17 mark you'll see the Fredvang Bridges, a system of two spans which connect the islands of Moskenesøya and Flakstadøya.  At 1:24, there's a magnificent shot flying over a ridge towards a fjord, and at 1:31 you'll see the iconic football (soccer) field on an island of the village of Henningsvaer.

Amalfi Coast

Explore Italy's Amalfi Coast from above in this video by AirVuz contributor effederico, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in April of 2024.  At around the :25 mark, there's a nice pull-out shot from the town of Atrani, towards the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast.  The video concludes with shots of the town of Amalfi itself, just a bit to the west.  The Amalfi Coast covers the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, a short distance southeast of the city of Naples in the region of Campania.

Drone Video of the Year Finalist Feeling Drone - Guillermo García brings us this stunning aerial video from the Portuguese island of Madeira, which is located off the coast of North Africa.  Opening with a shot of Ponta de São Lourenço, the peninsula which makes up the island's eastern tip, the video then takes you into Madeira's mountainous interior.  At the :17 mark, you'll see the Véu da Noiva Waterfall, on the northern coast.  Other highlights include a first person view (FPV) drone shot of the clocktower of São Vicente (3:15).

Top AirVuz contributor kpax earned a spot on the Drone Video of the Week Finalist list in April, 2024 for this fantastic drone video from southern Switzerland.  The video was filmed over Sasso Grande, a mountain of the Lugano Prealps in the primarily Italian-speaking canton of Ticino.  The Lugano Prealps is a chain of "foothills" of the larger Alps system which straddles the Swiss-Italian border and which is home to peaks with maximum altitudes of up to around 7.4k ft. above sea level (about 2.2k m).

New contributor ravs earned a spot on the DVOW Finalist list with this excellent travel video from the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.  Created with footage from a drone and supplemented with ground- and underwater-camera shots, the video will take you over and around this tropical paradise, which is located about 1.2k mi. (around 2k km) east of the southeastern coast of Africa.  Video highlights include a great shot of the Le Morne peninsula on the main island's southwestern tip, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife shots, and more.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Flylifeco earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist and also on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2024 with this fantastic video of a drift car event near Houston, Texas.  Filmed with dual operators (a rare setup for FPV cinematography), the video captures the thrills at the first stop on the four-race circuit, which was held at the Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, a far northern Houston suburb, on March 9, 2024.

Top AirVuz contributor wlrdxplore earned a spot as a Finalist in the Drone Video of the Week contest with this excellent video from Iceland.  The video was filmed using two types of drones: a gimbal-stabilized quadcopter for slower-moving cinematic shots and a first person view (FPV) drone for fast-moving filming.  The video features locations across the island, including the erupting Fagradalsfjall on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Reykjavik, some of the island's famous black sand beaches, glacial lagoons, and more.

Check out this drone video of an ultra-modern business district which is taking shape in Istanbul, Turkey, compliments of AirVuz contributor cumhurbuyuktas.  It's called the Istanbul Financial Center, and it's located in the district of Ataşehir on the eastern (Anatolian or Asian) side of the city.  The most prominent skyscraper in the complex, which you'll see is still under construction, is the new headquarters building for the Turkish Central Bank; when completed it will become Turkey's tallest building.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Hashtaggu brings us this excellent travel  video from the Lofoten Islands, a Norwegian archipelago which lies within the Arctic Circle.  Created with drone and ground camera footage, the journey covered in the video begins at Svolvær, a town on Austvågøy on of the northernmost of the islands, which extend southwest from the mainland.  The trip ends at the village of Å, which lies on Moskenesøya, the southernmost (and most distant from the mainland) major member of the archipelago.
