Top AirVuz contributor Jürgen Na earned his second Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this fantastic video from Iceland.  Featuring a mix of drone shots, including from a first person view (FPV) drone, the video opens with a skim over one of Iceland's famous black sand beaches, followed by a thrilling waterfall dive.  At the :15 mark, you'll see the mighty Skogafoss waterfall, and at :36 you'll ride along a rocky ridge.  Other featured locations include the Fjadrargljufur Canyon, the mountainous Highlands, and more.  

AirVuz contributor nshabarkov brings us this excellent drone video of a famous fortress in Bulgaria. It's called Baba Vida, and it's located on the banks of the Danube River in Vidin, in the northwestern corner of the country.  Dating to the 10th century and built on the site of an older Roman fortification, it's the best-preserved medieval castle in this Southeast European country.  The fortification played an important role in the centuries-long struggles between Bulgarian, Byzantine, Ottoman, and other forces for control of the region.  

Discover the Indian Ocean island of Sri Lanka from above in this excellent drone video by top AirVuz contributor Nico Lehr.  Starting at the :07 mark, you'll see the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya, near the middle of the island, followed by the Colonial era Nine Arch Bridge, a bit to the south.  Further on, you'll explore rice terraces, some of the legendary beaches along the island's southern coastline, and even some Sri Lankan wildlife filmed with a ground camera.  Sri Lanka lies across the Gulf of Mannar from the mainland of India.  

AirVuz contributor F.Kok. brings us this fantastic drone video of the Zambezi River, one of Africa's longest waterways.  The video was filmed in the Caprivi, strip of land which extends from the northeastern corner of Namibia, with Angola and Zambia to its north and Botswana to its south.  The Zambezi, Africa's fourth-longest river, rises in Zambia and follows a generally eastern/southeastern course of about 1.6k mi. (around 2.6k km) to Mozambique on Africa's eastern coast, where it empties into the Indian Ocean.  

This outstanding first person view (FPV) drone reel by top contributor and FPV pilot noahmalin opens with a stunning shot racing along a rocky ridge towards a rainbow off in the distance.  At the :45 mark, there's a dramatic run underneath an ocean pier, and at :58 you'll run through a bell tower.  Just after 1:00, you'll buzz a tiny islet, followed by a run up a rushing stream.  Further on in the video, you'll dive a waterfall, skim over the top of an alpine forest, and have a "close encounter" with a downhill skateboarder.  

Take in these beautiful aerial views of the city of Konya, Turkey by brand-new AirVuz contributor HikmetTanirgan.  The flight will take you between two of the city's most prominent landmarks: Mevlana Square and the Mevlana Museum.  One of Turkey's half-dozen largest cities, Konya is located on the southwestern edge of the Anatolian Plateau which dominates the center of the country, about 150 mi. (around 265 km) south of the national capital in Ankara.  Inhabited for thousands of years, during the Antiquity the city was known as Iconium.  

AirVuz contributor Jaybee2786 used a DJI Mini 4 Pro to film Scotland's Tantallon Castle, the great fortification which once guarded the city of Edinburgh.  It's located near the southern entrance to the Firth of Forth in East Lothian, more or less due east of the Scottish capital city.  The fortification was originally built on the orders of Scottish nobleman William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas.  It saw action during numerous dynastic conflicts within Scotland and later in the English Civil War of the mid-17th century.  

Explore the great city of St. Petersburg, Russia in this excellent video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Zoya.  At the :54 mark, you'll see the Church of the Savior on Blood, one of the city's most famous churches.  At 1:26, you'll see the gold dome of St. Isaac's Cathedral (currently undergoing a renovation) in the background, followed by a view of some port facilities along the Gulf of Finland.  At 2:26, you'll see the Bolsheokhtinsky Bridge (aka the Okhtinsky Bridge), which crosses the Neva River.  

In this drone video by AirVuz contributor Michael Visual, you'll get an aerial tour of a modern-era artillery fortification on Spain's Mediterranean coastline.  The site is called Castillitos Battery, and it's located in the city of Cartagena in the Murcia region (between the Valencia region to the north and Andalusia to the south).  The battery was built just before the onset of the Spanish Civil War in the 1930's to protect the entrance to Cartagena Bay, and it saw limited action during the course of the conflict.  

AirVuz contributor GIUXER used a DJI Mini 2 to create this excellent drone video of the historic center of Syracuse on the Italian island of Sicily.  The ancient city sits on a small island called Ortygia, which lies at the northern entrance of a bay on the eastern side of Sicily.  The island is also known as Città Vecchia, or Old City.  It's connected to the mainland by two bridges.  Ortygia figures prominently in Greek mythology as the possible birthplace of the goddess Artemis and possibly Apollo.  

AirVuz contributor filmingdrones brings us this excellent drone video of the historic city of Ronda, Spain.  The town is perched above a canyon of the Guadalevín River in Málaga, one of the provinces of the southern region of Andalusia.  Famously, Ronda was the setting for one of the most well-known passages of 20th century literature: the execution scene in Chapter 10 of Ernest Hemingway's 1940 Spanish Civil War novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, in which Nationalists are murdered by Republicans and their bodies thrown into the Tejo Gorge.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor reonis brings us this stunning drone video from the mountains of South Korea.  The video was filmed over and around Jangraksan Mountain in Hongcheon County, in the interior of the Gangwon Province which covers the northeastern corner of the country.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 on a brilliant sunny morning with the low-lying areas still covered by clouds.  Virtually all of the county, South Korea's largest by land area, is covered by mountains.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist SKY DIRECTOR brings us this excellent video of a well-known castle in the Baltic republic of Estonia.  It's called Alatskivi Castle, and it's located in Tartu County, in the eastern part of the country.  The neo-Gothic castle was built in the 17th century and rebuilt in the 19th century to resemble the Balmoral Royal residence in Scotland, a residence frequented by then-Queen Victoria.  The castle is surrounded by a park covering about 320 acres, the largest such park in Tartu County.  

Top AirVuz contributor CinematicPier earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this amazing first person view (FPV) video of an Italian island called Lampedusa.  Lampedusa is one of the three Pelagie Islands, which lie in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, roughly halfway between the large Italian island of Sicily and the North African country of Tunisia.  It's part of the Province of Agrigento, most of which is on the southern side of Sicily.  Lampedusa covers about seven square mi. (around 20 square km).  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot drew.drones brings us this fantastic one-shot fly-through of a prefab modular construction factory, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in July of 2024.  The video will take you through the various stages of the production process and the key equipment centers, such as welding, folding, bending, and assembly, showing how the product flows through the plant.  The factory is operated by Hong Kong-based Ark Prefab.  

Top AirVuz contributor RussellFPV earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video of a spectacular fireworks show in South Korea.  If you've ever wondered what it would be like to fly like a bird through a fireworks display, this video is definitely for you.  You'll get about as close as it's possible to get to the center of the display, with explosions occurring all around the drone yet never actually hitting it (at least as far as we could tell!).  

Explore the great city of Budapest, Hungary in this excellent video by contributor filmingdrones, which was a DVOW Finalist in July, 2024.  The video opens with a shot of the Liberty Bridge, which spans the Danube River on the southern side of the central city.  At the :13 mark, you'll see the Liberty Statue atop Gellért Hill on the western (Buda) side of the river.  At :39, you'll see the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, the most famous of the city's spans.  Other locations include Buda Castle (:58), the Parliament Building (1:11), and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor Galax earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this excellent video of a lake in the southern part of Italy.  Lake Passante (Lago Passante) is located in La Sila, a mountain plateau which covers parts of three provinces in Calabria, the region at the "toe" of peninsular Italy.  The lake is an artificial reservoir for a hydroelectric project which was built in the area in the 1960's.  The lake sits at an altitude of about 3.3k ft. above sea level or around 1k m.  

AirVuz contributor Zoya earned his second Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this fantastic drone video from Bulgaria.  The video features stunning shots from across this Southeast European land, much of which is covered by two mountain ranges.  The video opens with shots of the Shipka Monument, which is located on a peak of the Balkan Mountains.  At the :57 mark, you'll see Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia.  At 1:08, you'll see the Shipka Memorial Church, followed by the hills of the city of Plovdiv.  

Top contributor Dronescapes Ireland was picked as as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week with this fantastic reel from Ireland.  The first stop is Fanad Head Lighthouse on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal, followed by Roancarrigmore Light Lighthouse in County Cork.  At the 1:07 mark, you'll see the buildings atop the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary, followed by the semi-ruined Fore Abbey in County Westmeath.  Other highlights include the Dún Eochla (1:33) and Dún Aonghasa (1:58) fortresses on the island of Inishmoor. 

Prepare to be amazed by this incredible first person view (FPV) drone video from Alaska, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot CragLord.  Filmed over the Knik Glacier, the video follows a small high-winged private plane making "touch and go" landings just off of the glacier.  No doubt this was filmed in controlled conditions and with full cooperation of the plane's pilot.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for inclusion on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2024.  

Top AirVuz contributor Andrew Travel Film was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in July, 2024 for this fantastic drone video from the Altai Mountains in Siberian Russia.  The video was filmed over Mt. Irbistu, which rises to a peak altitude of just over 13k ft. above sea level (a bit under 4k m).  Encompassing some of the most remote territory on the Eurasian land mass, the Altai are part of a broader system known as the South Siberian Mountains; they also extend into neighboring Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and China.  

As first person view (FPV) drones continue to get faster, they are increasingly able to keep up with even the fastest cars.  Witness this impressive video from AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot richardgeres, who was commissioned to film for the "Tour des Pyrenees 2024" race at the Circuit Pau-Arnos racetrack in southern France.  Filmed with a GoPro Hero 12 mounted to a 5 inch quad, the video captures some very fast-moving Ferrari and Porsche supercars tearing up the track.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

AirVuz contributor wdejager was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this excellent drone video of the Passeier Valley in northern Italy.  The valley runs on a roughly north-south basis from the Timmelsjoch pass through the Ötztal Alps near the Austrian border south to the convergence of the valley's namesake river with the Adige River, Italy's second longest waterway.    It's part of South Tyrol, the northernmost of the two provinces which make up the region of Trentino-Alto-Adigio.  

Top AirVuz contributor and FPV drone pilot WestPsydeFPV had the rare honor of winning the Drone Video of the Week contest and also making the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this highly creative and inspiring piece.  In the video, he relates how the end of a romantic relationship forced him out of his "comfort" zone, leading him to relocate from his native Colorado and to pursue a new niche flying for music festivals.  The video features some amazing shots from his old and new homes, including some highly cinematic "setup" shots.  

Explore the islands of Indonesia by first person view (FPV) drone with this fantastic travel FPV video by AirVuz contributor DaniuelM88.  At the :17 mark, you'll see the famous blue crater of the Ijen volcano complex in East Java, and at around :27 there's a great shot from Nusa Penida, one of the "satellite" island of Bali.  From there you'll cruise over some of Bali's fabled rice terraces and explore its equally fabled surfing beaches.  Further on you'll dive waterfalls and explore some of Java's urban landscapes.  

Top AirVuz contributor Arnaud Lesueur brings us this fantastic drone video from the French Alps.  The video combines setup shots with a gimbal-stabilized drone with adrenaline-filled first person view (FPV) shots skimming along the mountain ridges.  The video was filmed near Mont Blanc, the highest peak of the Alps, which has a sunnit elevation of about 15.8k ft. above sea level or around 4.8k m.  While the peak itself is in France, the massif of which it is part straddles the borders with neighboring Switzerland and Italy.  

The latest five inch and seven inch first person view (FPV) drones now generally run on 6S batteries providing nearly unlimited power, which is far more than really is ever needed for cinematic FPV filming.  Where unlimited power really does make a difference is in aggressive freestyle flight, like what you'll see here in this video by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot George FPV.  Watch and you'll see what it means to have thrust-to-weight power in excess of 7-8:1, where gravity is just a light force by comparison!  

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of one of the world's top DJ's doing a show at the Regenerate Festival in Denver, Colorado.  John Walter Schuster (better known as John Summit) has played at some of the USA's premiere music festivals, including Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, and Coachella.  The Regenerate Festival is one of the Mile High City's top EDM and house party music festivals.  It's held in early June of each year in Civic Center Park, near the State Capitol building.  

Check out this first person view (FPV) drone fly-through of a giant truck show in Spain, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot JM FPV.  The video was filmed at a stop of the Monsters World Tour in Malaga, one of the main cities of the Andalusia region in southern Spain.  The video includes an excellent fly-through of the arena, which seats about 9k spectators and is one of the largest indoor arenas in the region.  This video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in June of 2024.   

AirVuz contributor Andrei Travel Film earned his first Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this excellent drone video from the mountains of Siberian Russia.  The video was filmed in the Podnebesnie Zybia region near the town of Luzhba in Kemorovo Oblast, one of the provinces of southern Siberia.  The mountains here are part of the South Siberian Mountains, an extensive chain which covers over 500K square mi. (around 1.5k square km) of Siberian and Far Eastern Russia as well as portions of neighboring Mongolia.  

Top AirVuz contributor VertMedia brings us this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video put together to promote MLB London, a series of Major League Baseball games held in the UK capital city.  Held in London Stadium in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the series commenced in 2019 with the first Major League Baseball games ever held in Europe.  In 2024, the series consisted of two games between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies on June 8-9.  This video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.  

In this drone video by AirVuz contributor Airviewstudio, you'll get an aerial tour of the Ribeira Sacra, a culturally important area within the Galicia region of northwestern Spain.  The Ribeira Sacra is home to a dense cluster of monasteries along the Cabe , Sil, and Miño Rivers in Ourense and Lugo, two of the four provinces which make up the autonomous community of Galicia.   The densest cluster of standing monasteries in Europe, some of them date to the 12th century AD and possibly earlier.   

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is one of the natural treasures of Brazil. Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor Damiano862, it's located just east of São José Bay in Maranhão, one of the states which make up the giant Northeastern region.  Covering about  550 square mi (around 1.5k square km), the park is known for its rolling sand dunes and is an increasingly popular eco-tourism destination.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week in June of 2024.   

Take an aerial tour of the historic city of Poznań, Poland with this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Zoya.  Poznań is one of Poland's five largest cities as well as one of its oldest.  The video opens with shots of the twin towers of Poznań Cathedral, which dates to the 10th century.  At the :30 mark, there's a nice shot of the Warta River, which runs through the center of the city.  At :50, you'll get a great view of the Poznań Town Hall, in the heart of the city's Old Town, and at 2:30 you'll see the city's opera house.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Tricky FPV brings us this epic video from the mountains of one of the world's northernmost spots: the Norway's Svalbard Islands.  The islands are situated in the Arctic Ocean, roughly halfway between the northernmost point of mainland Norway and the North Pole.  Heavily glaciered and covered in mountains which range up to about 5.6k ft. in altitude (about 5.6k m), Svalbard is still very much off the beaten path, with a permanent resident population of only about 2.5k.   

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot HellingerFPV brings us this excellent FPV tour of a winery and vineyard in Ohio.  The Gervasi Vineyard is located in Canton, about an hour south of Cleveland in the north-central part of the state.  Filmed with a GoPro Hero action camera mounted on a five inch quad, the video provides a unique aerial perspective of this impressive property, including a fly-through of a bell tower at the :16 mark.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2024.  

Fro a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Zoya brings us this marvelous aerial video of Ukraine.  The video opens with shots of the fountains on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the main square of the capital city, Kiev.  At the :44 mark, there's a marvelous shot of the gold domes of Kiev's St. Michael's Monastery, followed by shots of the city's modern skyscrapers and its main football stadium.  At 1:45, you'll see Kiev's famous Motherland statue, followed by the Pochaiv Lavra monastery in the western city of Pochaiv.  

Former DVOW Finalist My Travels brings us this stunning drone video from the city of Bilbao, the de facto capital of Spain's Basque region.  Situated on the Estuary of Bilbao just a few mi./km inland (south of) the Bay of Biscay, Bilbao is one of the country's most industrialized cities.  At the :37 mark, you'll see the city's most famous modern attraction: the Guggenheim Museum, which was featured in the 1999 James Bond film the World is Not Enough.  Other highlights include the Santiago Cathedral (:48), La Salve Bridge (:52), and more.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Kosumi brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of a desert four-wheel race.  The aerial portions were filmed with a Red Komodo camera mounted to a Cinelifter drone, an extremely expensive setup which is only undertaken by highly experienced FPV pilots.  With its extremely high shutter speeds, the camera is capable of some epic slow-motion shots, as you'll see in the video.  This was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2024.  

New contributor STELLAR brings us this excellent drone video from the Balkan country of Serbia.  Starting at the :17 mark, you'll see Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city, which lies on the Danube River.  At :50, you'll head down the Danube to Belgrade, Serbia's largest city and capital, beginning with the commercial district of Novi Beograd (New Belgrade).  Just after 1:00, you'll see the municipality of Voždovac, which covers the south-central part of Belgrade, and at 1:21 you'll see Avala, a mountain overlooking Belgrade.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning first person view (FPV) drone tour of Venice, Italy by top AirVuz contributor CataFpv.  Filmed in one shot, the video opens with a circling of the basilica of San Pietro di Castello on its namesake island, which lies towards the eastern end of the archipelago on which the city is built.  From there, you'll head south along the San Pietro Canal before heading back north again, then turning west for a fly-through of a crane and on to the waters around the Ventian Arsenal, a former shipyard.  

Explore some of the wonders of Turkey with this fantastic piece by former Drone Video of the Year Finalist Lokmansin.  The video includes footage from numerous spots, including the area around Marmaris, on the Turkish Riviera; the town of Amasya on the Yeşilırmak River, near the Black Sea in northern Turkey; Mount Nemrut, in southeastern Turkey; the town of Aydın, on the Büyük Menderes River in western Turkey; the modern city of Izmir, on the Aegean Sea; and the ancient city of Hierapolis in Pamukkale, also in western Turkey.

The latest long-range first person view (FPV) equipment allows experienced pilots to maintain reliable video connections with their quads over miles of otherwise-inaccessible territory.  This permits the creation of videos like this epic piece from top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot WestPsydeFPV, who was able to scale a small mountain in eastern Utah from a considerable distance.  The highly cinematic piece takes you over a river to the summit of the peak before heading back down to home base.  

Top AirVuz contributor SkyBee brings us this awesome drone video of Turkey's Roman Theatre of Aspendos, one of the best-preserved sites of the Antiquity.  Aspendos is situated in the southern province of Antalya, a few km/mi. inland and about 40 km (25 mi.) east of the provincial capital Antalya.  Built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the 2nd century AD, it could seat an audience of up to 13k people.  It later served as a palace before being restored as a theater, hosting seasonal opera and ballet performances.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot AlexCarboni FPV brings us this outstanding FPV "fashion shoot" video from the heart of Rome, Italy.  The video was filmed over and around the Spanish Steps, a famous stairway of 135 steps which connect the Piazza di Spagna with the Piazza Trinità dei Monti.  Designed by the architect Francesco de Sanctis and built in the 1720's, the Spanish Steps are one of the most well-recognized landmarks in the Eternal City.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Former DVOW Finalist MichasWelt brings us this stunning video from Indonesia, which includes extensive FPV drone footage.  The video opens with some stunning shots of the volcanoes of Java, including Bromo and Ijen.  Starting at about the 1:09 mark (and also at 1:35), you'll see some spectacular views of the Komodo Islands, including some nice shots of their namesake "dragon".  At 1:30, there's a spectacular dive into Java's Tumpak Sewu waterfall, and just before 2:00 you'll see the Kelimutu volcano on the island of Flores.  

Check out these excellent drone views of a well-known church on the Italian Riviera, compliments of AirVuz contributor BDurren67.  The Church of San Pietro is located on a rocky spur in the town of Portovenere, at the western entrance into the Gulf of La Spezia.  It's less than an hour's drive southeast of the Cinque Terre towns in the region of Liguria.  The church is part of a small complex which originally dates to the 5th century AD, with the main structure dating to the 13th century during the period of Genoese rule.  

AirVuz contributor filmingdrones used a DJI Mini Pro 3 drone to create this stunning video of the great Renaissance city of Florence, Italy.  At the :06 mark, there's a nice shot of the Arno River, with the core of the old city on its right bank.  Starting at about :15, there's a stunning shot heading toward the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), with the Piazza della Signoria in the foreground.  At :55, you'll get a close-up view of the Duomo, and at 1:24 you'll see the Ponte Vecchio, one of the world's most famous bridges.  

New AirVuz contributor Graham Green brings us this excellent drone video from Western Australia.  The video was filmed during a road trip to the area around Cervantes, which is located about a two hour drive north of Perth (the WA state capital and largest city) along the coast.  The video includes footage of the dunes around Lancelin, roughly halfway to Cervantes.  Much of the video was filmed in the Pinnacles, an area of limestone formations in Nambung National Park just inland (east) of Cervantes.  

Check out this drone video from the French Riviera, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Drone Eye Perspective.  The video was filmed over the town of Menton, which is the easternmost town on the French Riviera, just west of the border with neighboring Italy.  Once part of Monaco, it's been part of France since 1860.  The "star" of the video is the city's most recognizable landmark: the Saint-Michel-Archange basilica belltower, which was consecrated in 1675 and is considered a Baroque style masterpiece.   

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist David L brings us this excellent aerial tour of the waterways of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Located about 30 mi. (around 50 km) north of Miami on the legendary Gold Coast, Fort Lauderdale is sometimes called the Venice of the USA.  With many thousands of boats moored along its 165 mi. (around 266 km) of inland canals, it can also lay a good claim to be the country's boating capital.  As you'll see in the video, these boats come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from small skiffs to giant yachts.  

Take an aerial tour of an iconic village in southern Italy, compliments of former Drone Video of the Week Winner Galax.  The subject of the video is Stilo, which is located on the southern side (bottom) of the "foot" of Italy in the province of Reggio Calabria.  Situated at the foot of Mount Consolino, the town is just a few mi./km from the coast, as you'll see just before the 1:00 mark.  At around 1:30, you'll see one of the town's most well-known landmarks: the Byzantine church Cattolica di Stilo.  

Top AirVuz contributor FLY DOG used a DJI Mavic and a first person view (FPV) drone to create this stunning video of two Dakar Rally star motorcyclists taking on the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert in Morocco.  The riders are Stéphane Peterhansel, who has won the Dakar Rally 14 times (a record as of 2024), and rising Dhakar Rally star Pol Tarrésvideo.  The video was filmed near the village of Merzouga, which lies close to the country's eastern border with Algeria, on the western edge of the great desert.      

Former Drone Video of the Year Finalist be_mesmerized brings us this stunning drone reel of his travels to nearly two dozen countries over the course of 2023.  Fast-moving and brilliantly edited, the video will take you to locations across five continents, including Croatia, Algeria, Bhutan, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Afghanistan, Mongolia, the USA, Jordan, Venezuela, and Papua New Guinea.  The video includes marvelous ground-camera shots to complement the magnificent aerial footage.  

Top AirVuz contributor Gustavo Quiroga used a DJI Air 3 drone to create this stunning aerial view of a spot in the Andes Mountains in Argentina.  The video was filmed near the town of Potrerillos, which lies on the eastern slopes of the Andes in the state of Mendoza.  Filmed after an Autumn snowfall, the video features shots of the reservoir of Potrerillos Dam, which was completed in the early 2000's and which provides hydroelectricity, drinking water, and irrigation to surrounding portions of the Potrerillos Valley.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot WestPsydeFPV brings us this stunningly cinematic long-range FPV video from the canyons around Moab, Utah in the Southwestern USA.  Famous for its distinctive canyons and rock formations, Moab is located in the eastern part of the state, near the border with Colorado.  Situated on the Colorado Plateau, the area's attractions include Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2024.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video of the famous Matterhorn mountain by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Livyu.  The video was filmed with a GoPro Hero 11 Mini camera strapped to a 6" FPV quad equipped with a long-range FPV setup.  Situated in the heart of the Pennine Alps in Switzerland, near the Italian border, the Matterhorn has one of the world's most perfectly symmetrical peaks of any mountain.  The Matterhorn has a summit altitude of about 14.7k ft. above sea level, or around 4.5k m.

AirVuz contributor Jimmy_K brings us this rather stunning drone video of a yacht passing under the Greece's Euripus Bridge.  Opened in 1993, the cable-stayed span connects the city of Chalkida (Chalcis) on the island of Euboea with the Greek mainland to its west.  The Euripus Bridge has a total length of just under 2.3k ft. (a bit under 700 m), with its longest span measuring 705 ft. (215 m).  Greece's first cable-stayed road bridge, it's the longer and newer of the two bridges which span the strait. 

Top contributor haussmannvisuals brings us this stunning travel video from Indonesia.  The video primarily consists of FPV drone footage, with "establishing" shots from a DJI Mavic Pro 3.  Some of the locations featured in the video include the Krakatoa volcano in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra; the Tengger Caldera on Mt. Bromo in East Java; the Tumpak Sewu waterfall, also in East Java; the island of Padar, in the province of East Nusa Tenggara; Komodo National Park, just east of Padar; and more.    

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot dronujemy_com brings us this excellent FPV video of a mud run and obstacle course race in Poland.  The "Runmageddon" event is held at multiple times throughout the year at the Modlin Fortress in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, about 30 mi. (around 50 km) north of Warsaw.  Constructed by the French in the early 1800's during the Napoleonic Wars, it's one of the country's largest 19th century fortifications.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2024.  

For his first upload to AirVuz, new contributor Graham Green earned a spot as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week for this outstanding drone video of some salt lakes in Western Australia.  Largely arid, the massive state of WA is home to a number of salt lakes, which were created by rivers that ceased to flow.  The lakes shown in the video are located about a two hour drive northeast of Perth, the principal city of Western Australia.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 drone.  

Check out this impressive demo reel from Italy by top AirVuz contributor and pilot Alessio Tricarico.  Created with footage from a variety of drones, including first person view (FPV) quads, the video features an impressive mix of shots from across the country.  At the :19 mark, you'll chase a waterskier by FPV, and at 1:18 there's a magnificent shot from Rome with Hadrian's Castle in the foreground and the Basilica of St. Peter in the background.  Other highlights include the iconic Lake Braies in the Dolomite Mountains at 1:50.  

"Cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones, which are relatively light weight and have ducted propellers, are increasingly being seen at major music concerts, providing a unique perspective on these events.  In this FPV video by top AirVuz contributor HellingerFPV, you'll see a flyover of a concert at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio by legendary rapper Machine Gun Kelly.  Also known as MGK, he's produced multiple platinum-certified albums and has also appeared in numerous feature movies.  

This stunning drone video from Ireland by top AirVuz contributor Dronescapes Ireland opens with shots of Fanad Head Lighthouse in County Donegal, followed by shots of Ballycotton Lighthouse in County Cork, in the far south.  Just before the :40 mark, you'll see Cormac's Chapel atop the Rock of Cashel in inland County Tipperary, followed by the ruins of Fore Abbey in County Westmeath.   Other highlights include the neolothic tombs of Loughcrew in County Meath (1:38); the Dingle Peninsula, in County Kerry (1:57); and more.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist SkyBee brings us this stunning video of the town of Antalya, Turkey.  The situated on the Mediterranean Sea coastline, this provincial capital is one of the five largest cities in Turkey and the largest in the southern part of the country.  Settled since the Antiquity, in more recent times Antalya has emerged as the unofficial capital city of the Turkish Riviera, which includes the southern part of Turkey's western coastline along the Aegean Sea and the western part of its Mediterranean coast.  

Check out this drone video from the French Riviera, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Drone Eye Perspective.  The video was filmed over the town of Menton, which is the easternmost town on the French Riviera, just west of the Italian border.  Once part of Monaco, it's been part of France since 1860.  At about the :30 mark, you'll fly past the city's most recognizable landmark: the baroque style Saint-Michel-Archange basilica belltower, which was consecrated in 1675. At about :45, you'll fly over the marina just east of the city.   

Take an aerial tour of the vast North African country of Morocco in this excellent video by former Drone Video of the Week Winner Drone_ETHAN.  At the :26 mark, you'll see the famous fortified village of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site southeast of the city of Marrakesh.  At the :55 mark, you'll see the Mohammed VI Bridge in Rabat, the capital city.  Starting at 1:32, you'll see some great shots of the Moroccan coastline and its coastal wetlands.  Starting at 2:49, you'll see a kasbah, followed by a series of hilltop towns.    

Explore the great city of Lisbon, Portugal from above with this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor filmingdrones.  Filmed with a gimbal-stabilized drone as well as a first person view (FPV) quad, the video opens with shots of the 25 de Abril Bridge, followed by some fantastic FPV shots of São Jorge Castle.  At the 1:48 mark, you'll see the famous Christ the King statue, and at 2:15 you'll see the Belém Tower fortress on the Tagus River.  Starting just before 3:00, there are some great shots of Lisbon's harbor.  

AirVuz contributor nunovalente brings us this excellent drone video of the giant Alqueva Dam project in Portugal.  The dam is situated on the Guadiana River, which originates in neighboring Spain and flows through southern Portugal into the Gulf of Cádiz.  The dam was completed in 2002, although the giant reservoir lake (the largest in Western Europe) wasn't fully filled until 2010.  In addition to providing hydroelectricity, the dam and reservoir helps to assure a steady water supply for the sometimes drought-prone region of Alentejo.  

AirVuz contributor AmanitoMuscario used a DJI Mini 3 Pro to create this stunning video of a Spring, 2024 trip to Iceland, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest.  At the 1:13 mark, you'll see the Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks near the town of Vik, at the southern end of the island.  At 1:54, you'll see the famous DC-3 wreck, which lies on a black sand beach just west of Vik, and at 2:10 you'll see the Gulfoss waterfall.  Other highlights include the Highlands, numerous other falls, and more.  

In this drone video by dannyb313, you'll explore the city of Busan, South Korea.  The video opens with shots of the Gwangan Bridge, which connects the districts of  Haeundae and Suyeong and is the second-longest bridge in the country as of 2024.  At 1:09, you'll see the Busan Harbor Bridge, which connects the Yeongdo and Nam Districts and was completed in 2014.  Located at the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, Busan is the center of South Korea's second-largest metropolitan area and is home to one of the world's busiest seaports.

Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video from Iceland, compliments of AirVuz contributor BlagaFly.  The video was filmed along the island's Ring Road (aka Route 1), which circles the island over its course of 821 mi. (around 1.3k km).  Starting at the :13 mark, there's an epic dive down one of Iceland's coastal mountains, and at :53 there's a heart-stopping run through a narrow canyon.  At around 2:00, there's a run along one of Iceland's black sand beaches, and at 2:17 you'll skim over a glacial lagoon.  

AirVuz contributor Paschalis Douimanis brings us this fantastic drone video from Greece's Aegean Islands.  The video was filmed over Mpaos, a tiny uninhabited islet which lies just off the coast of Mykonos, one of the main members of the Cyclades archipelago in the western Aegean Sea.  Filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 as well as a DJI Avata first person view (FPV) drone, the video features some epic coastal cruising shots as well as some nice views of the Church of St. George, the island's primary landmark.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot WestPsydeFPV brings us this fantastic FPV video of the Fisher Towers rock formation in Utah.  Located about 16 mi. (around 25 km) northeast of Moab, the towers are made of Cutler sandstone and capped by rock of the Moenkopi Formation.  The tallest of the towers reaches a height of about 900 ft. (around 270 m) above the floor of the surrounding mesa.  A popular rock climbing spot, the Fisher Towers have appeared in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Drone_ETHAN brings us this excellent drone video from the African country of Zambia.  Starting at about the :34 mark, you'll see Victoria Falls, which lies on the border with Zimbabwe and is one of the world's largest waterfall complexes.  At about the 1:26 mark, you'll see a group of hippopotamuses keeping cool in the water, followed by some more spectacular wildlife shots starting at 1:40 (including some magnificent elephant shots just before 2:00, followed by cheetahs).  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot goncaloafranco earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic video from Portugal.  The video was filmed at Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa), which is located just north of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe.  Ursab Beach is known for its jagged offshore rock formations, which are prominently featured in the video.  This area is part of the Portuguese Riviera, a legendary stretch of coastline of the province of Sintra, just west of Lisbon.  

Former DVOW Winner davetke2002 brings us this excellent aerial video of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city.  The first stop is the Bitexco Financial Tower, which was the country's tallest building when completed in 2010 and is distinguished by its 52nd floor helipad.  At about the :40 mark, you'll see the Viet Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda, aka the National Pagoda of Vietnam.   The next stop is the Landmark 81 tower, which was completed in 2018 and is the country's tallest skyscraper.  Other highlights include Ho Chi Minh Square (2:13).    

Former DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this fascinating aerial video from the southern part of Vietnam.  The first part of the video was filmed over the Củ Chi Tunnels, a network of underground passageways under a northern district of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) which was used by the Viet Cong guerilla fighters during the Vietnam war.  Starting at the 1:47 mark, you'll see the Vĩnh Tràng Temple southwest of HCMC, which was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the country's best-known Buddhist temple complexes.  

While the Dolomite Mountains are not the highest peaks in the Alps chain, they are among the most visuially spectacular.  In this drone video by top AirVuz contributor AndreaSagui, you'll get an aerial view of the Dolomites in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy.  Part of the Southern Limestone Alps, the Dolomites are spread over several provinces of the Veneto and Trentino-Alto-Adigio regions.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week in late May of 2024.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot MazzaFPV brings us this spectacular FPV video from a famous beach in Portugal.  It's called Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa), and it's located in the Sintra province west of Lisbon, in the heart of the Portuguese Riviera.  The beach is known for its stunning offshore rock formations, which are used to great cinematic effect by this very skilled pilot.  With a hilarious introduction featuring his dog, the  video was filmed with a DJI Avata FPV drone.  

Check out a pair of spots along the southwestern coast of Florida in this excellent video by top AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions.  The first spot is Lovers Key, which is a barrier island in the city of Bonita Springs, between Naples and Fort Myers.  Midway through the video, you'll head down the Gulf Coast a bit to the historic pier in Naples.  The pier was heavily damaged when Hurricane Ian hit Florida's western coast in 2022; it's currently partially closed pending re-construction.  

In this drone video by contributor LouloOWeB, you'll get an aerial view of two of the landing beaches used by Allied forces in World War II during the 1944 D-Day landings on France's Normandy coast.  The five beaches, from west to east, were Utah, Omaha, Juno, Sword, and Gold Beaches.  In this video, you'll see Gold and Juno Beaches, which cover the coastline roughly from Asnelles to Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer.  On D-Day, Gold and Juno Beaches were the responsibility of the British Army's XXX's Corps and the First Canadian Army, respectively.  

Check out this stunningly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video from Spain's Canary Islands, compliments of top contributor Scottyblue77.  The video was filmed on Fuerteventura, the second-largest of the Canaries by land area and (with Lanzarote) one of the two major islands in the eastern part of the grouping.  With the longest beachline in the archipelago, Fuerteventura also has one of the most diverse eco-systems.  The video includes footage from Playa de los Matos,  Puerto de la Cruz, Playa de Soledad, Cofete Beach, and more.  

Check out these stunning aerial views of Taiwan's Lanyu Island, compliments of AirVuz contributor LucaLuca.  Also known as Orchid Island and Hongtou Island, it's located about 40 mi. (around 65 km) east of the southern tip of the main island of Taiwan, just north of the Strait of Luzon which separates Taiwan from the Philippines.  Part of Taitung County, the island has a permanent population of around 5k.  Volcanic in origin, the island has mountains which reach up to 1.8k ft. above sea level (around 550 m).  

Top AirVuz contributor NI used a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone to create this stunning aerial tour of the great Italian city of Florence.  The video opens with a pair of shots facing north over the Arno River towards the Florence Cathedral, also known as the Duomo.  Starting at the :16 mark, there's a spectacular shot flying between the Giotto's Campanile and the cathedral's dome.  At the :55 mark, you'll see the area around the Palazzo Vecchio, and at 1:00 there's a great shot descending towards the Ponte Vecchio, the city's most famous bridge.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner oculusfilms brings us this stunning drone video from a mountain valley in northern Pakistan.  The video was filmed over and around the Shogran hill station in the Kaghan Valley, which runs for about 100 mi. (around 160 km) through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one of the country's northern provinces.  Part of the region of Hazara, the valley is surrounded by "foothills" of the Himalayan Mountains.  Elevations in the valley range up to 13.7k ft. above sea level or around 4.2k m.  

Top AirVuz contributor Bastien Nvs earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist with this excellent piece from the East Java region of Indonesia. As the name suggests, East Java covers the eastern portion of Java, the most populous island in the country (and indeed the world).  The video was filmed around the eastern tip of the island, which is lightly populated and home to some of Indonesia's most spectacular natural scenery such as the Mt. Bromo volcano, the Ijen crater complex, and the Tumpak Sewu waterfall.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Galax brings us this excellent drone video of a hilltop village in southern Italy called Motta Filocastro.  Part of the commune of Limbadi, Motta Filocastro is located in Vibo Valentia, one of the five provinces of the region of Calabria at the "toe" of peninsular Italy.   It's situated at the base of the broad peninsula which extends into the Tyrrhenian Sea.  The town was originally founded by Greek colonists during the Antiquity, between the 5th-7th centuries BC.  

Take in these magnificent first person view (FPV) drone views of Montenegro's Durmitor Mountains, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot sinaysky.  Part of the Dinaric Alps (a chain of mountains which runs down the western side of the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe), the Durmitor massif is located in the northern part of the approximately diamond-shaped country.  Largely contained within Durmitor National Park, the highest elevation in Durmitor is about 8.3k ft. above sea level or around 2.5k m.  

Check out this rare first person view (FPV) drone footage of a famous French chateau, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Drone_ETHAN.  He was able to film the Petit Trianon, a castle located on the grounds of the Versailles Palace compound west of Paris.  The structure was built in the mid-18th century in the Neoclassical style on the orders of King Louis XV.  It is closely associated with Queen Marie Antoinette, who was given the estate when her husband acceded to the throne in 1774 as King Louis XVI.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner URALDRONE brings us this outstanding travel video from the southern Ural Mountains in Russia.  Filmed during the winter and combining aerial shots from a DJI Mavic Pro 3 with ground camera footage, the video will take you over some of the most stunning natural scenery in this giant country.  The Ural Mountains run on a roughly north-south axis, serving as the boundary between European and Asian Russia.  Some of the world's oldest mountains, the Urals were formed about 300 million years ago.

Check out this excellent drone video of Spain's Red Canyon, compliments of AirVuz contributor Mark Barrachina - vlcdroneXperience.  The canyon is located in Teruel, the southernmost of the three provinces which make up the Aragon region in the north-central part of the country.  Also known as the Aragonese Colorado Canyon, it's accessible from the nearby (namesake) provincial capital  The video was filmed with a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone as well as a GoPro Hero 10 action camera mounted to a first person view (FPV) quad.
