Recent AirVuz Staff Picks

Romania's Carpathian Mountains are home to some of the most spectacular Fall scenery in Europe.  Case in point is this outstanding video by top contributor Nelstill, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in October of 2026.  The video was filmed in and around the commune of Siriu in Buzău County.  Part of the historical region of Muntenia, the region sits in the southern side of the Carpathians, beyond which lies the region of Transylvania.  The video includes shots of Lake Siriu, the Stânca Teherău Viaduct, and more.  

Top AirVux contributor davidpardo71 won the Drone Video of the Week contest in October of 2026 with this outstanding video from eastern Spain.  Most of the video was shot in the mountains around Benidorm in the province of Alicante, part of the region of Valencia.  The mountains here run parallel to the Mediterranean Sea coastline, which runs on a roughly southwest-to-northeast axis out to the eastern tip of a triangle before abruptly shifting to the northwest towards the port city of Valencia.   

Top AirVuz contributor anotherview earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video of the active Japanese volcano Mt. Aso.  Located on the southern island of Kyushu, Aso is Japan's second-largest active volcano after Mt. Fuji.  It stands about 5.2k ft. above sea level at its peak (just under 1.6k m).  The mountain is part of a massive caldera that measures about 75 mi. in circumference (around 120 km).  Its most recent eruption occurred in 2021.  

Top AirVuz contributor DanielDrone123 earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent video of the iconic German village of Eversberg.  Eversberg is located in the northwestern state of North Rhine Westphalia, about an hour's drive southeast of the city of Dortmund.  About a thousand years old, Eversberg was recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in Germany in a national contest held in 1981.  The video, which includes some excellent shots of the town's castle, was filmed with a DJI Air 3S drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor Orion Herman Media (formerly known as Overhead Media) earned a DVOW Finalist spot in October, 2026 for this impressive demo reel.  Much of the video was filmed in and around the Rocky Mountain city of Salt Lake City, Utah, with additional shots from Las Vegas, Nevada.  The reel features a mix of first person view (FPV) drone and gimbal-stabilized shots.  Highlights include a spectacular shot chasing a ski jumper at the :20 mark, a mountain biker hitting a jump (:34), an outdoor concert (1:42), and more. 

Top AirVuz contributor T H Neacsu earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding aerial tour of one of the most famous mountain roads in Europe: Romania's Transalpina.  Also known as  DN67C. the roughly 90 mi. road (around 150 km) threads a pass through the Carpathian Mountains, connecting the town of Sebes in Transylvania in the north with the town of Novaci in the Oltenia region to the south.  Romania's highest roads, the Transalpina reaches altitudes of nearly 7.3k ft. above sea level (around 2.2k m).  

Top AirVuz contributor Rusty Nail earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video of some very skilled surfers hitting the waves near Sydney, Australia.  Surfing is a notoriously difficult activity to film: to capture the best footage, the pilot must get as close as possible to the surfers, but avoid the waves (and even the sea spray) to keep the drone out of harm's way.  And to top that all off, it works best filming while flying backwards, as you'll see in ths video.   

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Still Gray Productions earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this outstanding FPV video of a highly skilled motocross rider making his way around a very challenging course.  The video opens with a spectacular shot closing in on a very much airborne rider from his left, followed by a closeup during which he gets within a few feet of the bike's back wheel.  At the :22 mark, there's a magnificent shot tracking the rider as he hits a jump of what appears to be at least 60-70 ft. (around 20 m).   

Top AirVuz contributors Atiba&Ilse (formerly known as Digital Travel Couple) return after a two year hiatus with this fantastic video from Sweden, which won the Drone Video of the Week contest in October of 2026.  The video was filmed during the height of the Fall colors season in the vicinity of Herräng, a beautiful area of lakes, rivers, and forests in the coastal region of Roslage, around an hour's drive north of the capital city of Stockholm.  Most of the video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor Kpax earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from Switzerland's Nepali Highway, a famous hiking trail in the Swiss Alps.  Located near the center of the country, the Nepali connects two Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) huts: the Sidelenhütte and the Albert-Heim-Hütte.  The highest peak in the vicinity here is Chli Bielenhorn, which has a summit altitude of about 9.6k ft above sea level (around 2.9k m).  The trail has a SAC rating of T3+, indicating a very high level of difficulty.   

Top AirVuz contributor semberadventure earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding travel video from Panama in Central America.  Created using a cleverly blended combination of drone and ground camera footage, the video will take you all over this important country, which serves as the connection point between North and South America.  The video includes shots from Panama's beautiful beaches and outlying tropical islands, interior rainforests, and low-slung mountains.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) piot Angelo Re earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding FPV reel.  The video opens with a flyover of a corkscrew-type roller coaster, followed by a shot of one of the main bridges heading into Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  At the :10 mark, you'll fly through a factory, followed by a fly-through of a golf store and a shot of some sled dogs.  Further on, you'l see the demolition of a large factory, a whitewater rafting trip, and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor Abel Aerials won the DVOW contest with this fantastic travel video from the Mangystau region of the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.  Mangystau, which covers the southwest portion of the giant country, is truly, as the title of the video suggests - an other-wordly place.  The unique patterns of sedimentation and erosion gave rise to giant rock formations which tower above the floor of the surrounding desert.  The video was filmed with multiple drones, including a first person view (FPV) drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor Dronescapes Ireland earned another DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic compilation video from Ireland, which features and is dedicated to the memory of eight years with his traveling canine companion Loki, who recently passed away.  Some of the highlights include the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary (at the :38 mark), the circular hill fort Grianán of Aileach (1:37), St. Johns Point Lighthouse in County Down (1:50), McDermott's Castle in County Roscommon (1:57), Trim Castle in County Meath (2:00), and more. 

Take in these stunning Fall colors from Finnish Lapland, compliments of top AirVuz contributor timoksanen.  A Drone Video of the Week Finalist, the video was filmed near the village of Hetta in Enontekiö, an "arm" of Finnish territory which extends to the northwest from northern Finland and which is mostly surrounded by the territory of neighboring Sweden and Finland.  The video was filmed during the height of Autumn with a DJI Mavic Pro 4 drone, supplemented with ground camera footage from a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro.   

New contributor alexleipz earned his first Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding aerial video from the German state of Saxony.  The focus of the video is on the natural beauty of Saxony, which has a long border with the Czech Republic and which was part of East Germany prior to reunification following the collapse of the Iron Curtain in 1989.  As you'll see in the video, Saxony's natural features include magnificent rolling hills, giant rock formations, and numerous lakes, streams, and rivers.  

Top AirVuz contributor denisbarbas earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this fantastic video from Italy's Dolomite Mountains.  He used a DJI Mavic Pro 4 to film a party of rock climbers (including himself) tackling some of the most beautiful peaks in Europe and indeed the world.  As you'll see from the video, the rocky peaks of the Dolomites represent an ideal (if extremely challenging) environment for technical rock climbing.  The Dolomites are part of the Southern Limestone Alps.  

Top AirVuz contributor RyanFlies earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding travel video from the western USA.  The video was filmed over the course of a three week trip, and includes footage a number of beautiful spots in Oregon, Northern California, and Nevada.  Some of the featured locations include the Pacific Ocean coastline in California and Oregon; Reno, Nevada; Virginia City, Nevada; Lake Tahoe (on the border between California and Nevada); the desert of southeastern Oregon, including Owyhee Canyon.  

Top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals won the DVOW contest for this fantastic video from the Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan in Central Asia.  Mangystau is located in the southwestern corner of the giant country, and extends eastwards from its long coastline on the Caspian Sea.  Due to the unusual sedimentation and erosion patterns here, it's characterized by giant rock formations which rise hundreds of ft./m from the ground.  The video was filmed with a DJI Avata 2 first person view (FPV) drone as well as a DJI Mavic Pro 3.  

Top AirVuz contributor Lukasz Lewenda earned another DVOW Finalist spot for this incredible first person view (FPV) drone video of the hit Broadway musical "Wicked".  The video was shot with a "cinewhoop" style setup, in which a high-end camera is mounted to a small FPV drone that often has ducted fans and other safety features to permit safe operation in close proximity to people.  When flown by properly trained pilots in a controlled environments, Cinewhoops are capable of filming scenes which would be impossible with a full-size drone.  

Top contributor Kpax earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from the Alps Mountains in northern Italy.  The video was filmed over and around the Tribulaun, a three-peaked mountain complex which lies on the Austro-Italian border.  Part of the Stubai Alps (a sub-chain of the larger Alps system), the highest summit has an altitude of just under 10.2k ft. above sea level (around 3.1k m).  The video was filmed on the Italian side in the province of South Tyrol, part of the Trentino-Alto-Adigio region.  

Top AirVuz contributor DanielDrone123 earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this fantastic video from the French island of Corsica.  The video opens with shots from Sari-Solenzara, in the southeastern part of the island.  At around the 1:09 mark, you'll head to Corte, in north-central Corsica.  The next stop (at 2:05) is Saint-Florent, a seaside village on a bay of Corsica's northern coast.  At 2:27, you'll see Bonifacio, at Corsica's southern tip, and at 3:30 you'll see nearby Sartene.

Top contributor Celeste photography_mq earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent drone video of the Caribbean island of Martinique.  Located between the isands of San Lucia and Dominica, Martinique is part of the Windward Antilles chain that marks the eastern extent of the Caribbean.  A posession of France (one of five Caribbean islands under full or partial French control), Martinique has been the setting for numerous novels and films set in the area, perhaps most notably appearing in Jean Rhys' classic 1966 novel Wide Sargasso Sea.

Top contributor Jürgen Na won the DVOW contest for this spectacular drone video from the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan in Central Asia.  Mangystau is in the southwestern part of the country, and includes much of the country's Caspian Sea coastline.  The area shown in the video is inland Mangystau, a vast area of tens of thousands of square miles and only a few thousand inhabitants.  As you'll see in the video, it's covered with giant rock formations that tower above the desert floor.  The video was filmed in part with an FPV drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor Gizmo Drones earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent drone video of Melbourne, Australia, filmed during the (Southern Hemisphere) winter months.  At the :05 mark, there's a nice shot looking northwest towards the CBD from the Kings Domain, followed by a view of the Melbourne Wheel.  At :17, there's a nice shot heading towards Docklands Stadium.  Other highlights include the Australia 108 building, Australia's tallest skyscraper as of 2026 (:48), the Melbourne Cricket Ground (1:17), and more.   

Check out these fantastic drone views of one of Italy's most famous mountains, compliments of top AirVuz contributor CMvision.  The video was filmed over Gran Sasso, a massif of the Appenine Mountains in the Abruzzo region in the east-central part of the country.  Gran Sasso's highest peak, Corno Grande, has a summit altitude of just under 9.6k ft above sea level (around 2.9k m), making it the highest peak in the Appenine chain that runs down the "spine" of peninsular Italy.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 4 drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor CataFpv earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist and also was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list for this fantastic video from Norway's Lofoten Islands.  The video was filmed with a Black Magic camera mounted to an FPV drone, as well as a (gimbal-stabilized) DJI Mavic Pro 3.  It features highly cinematic "setup" shots interspersed with adrenaline-packed action sequences from across the islands, which lie within the Arctic Circle but which have a surprisingly temperate climate.  

Top contributor LPHOTO TRILHAS E MONTANHAS earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent video fom Brazil's Mantiqueira Mountains.  The Mantiqueira's are one of Brazil's most important mountain ranges, covering portions of the southeastern states of  São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.  Their tallest peak, Pedra da Mina, has a summit altitude of about 9.2k ft above sea level (around 2.8k m).  The mountains are the source of several of the key rivers supplying the giant cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo with drinking water.  

Top AirVuz contributor be_mesmerized earned a Drone  Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent travel video from the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan.  Filmed using both a drone as well as ground cameras, the video provides glimpses of traditional life in this montainous land, most of which is covered by the  Tian Shan and Pamir ranges, which reach altitudes of up to 25k above sea level (around 7.6k m).  At around the 1:27 mark, there's a magnificent aerial shot of a canyon, followed by a view of some snow-capped peaks.  

Top AirVuz contributor Marco Miele earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent drone video from Italy's Dolomite Mountains.  Filmed with a trio of drones - a DJI Mavic Pro 4, DJI Avata 2 (a first person view (FPV) drone), and Antigravity A1, the video will you over a series of lakes in the province of Belluno, in the region of Veneto in the northeastern part of the country.  The featured locations, in order of appearance, are Lake Alleghe, Lake Val Gallina, Lake Pieve di Cadore, Lake Barcis, and Lake Alleghe.  

Check out this DVOW Finalist video of Alaska's mighty Mt. Denali, compliments of top AirVuz contributor CragLord.  Formerly known as Mt. McKinley, Denali has the distinction of being the tallest mountain in North America, with a summit altitude of about 20.3k ft. above sea level (a bit under 6.2k m).  Rising from a relatively low plateau, Denali is the third-most prominent peak in the world, trailing only Mt. Everest and the Andes peak Aconcagua.  The great mountain is located in the southern part of Alaska.   

Behold this magnificent drone video of Spain's Sagrada Familia church, compliments of top contributor Michael Gisselere.  Located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, its construction began in 1882.  While the church was about 20% complete by the mid-20's, the Spanish Civil War and ensuing financial constraints resulted in little progress for several decades.  The structure reached its full height of 566 ft. (172.5 m), in 2026, at which point it was the world's tallest church.  It's expected to be completed in the 2030's.  

Top AirVuz contributor Airviewstudio earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this magnificent drone video from Nazaré, Portugal.  Located on the country's Central Coast, Nazaré is home to what is generally considered Europe's top surfing scene.  That's because the waves which form here are truly gigantic: due to the presence of an offshore canyon, with waves sometimes exceeding 100 ft. (around 30 m) in height.  As of 2026, Nazaré holds the record for the tallest wave ever surfed, a 86 ft. (26 m) monster tackled in 2020.   

Top AirVuz contributor RyanFlies won the Drone Video of the Week contest in August, 2026 with this fantastic video from Alaska.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 4 and a DJI Avata 2 (a first person view (FPV) drone) over the course of a one month trip through the USA's 49th state.  Most of the video was filmed in the the mountains which cover much of southern Alaska.  At the :52, there's a great shot of a train making its way through the Alaskan wilderness, and at 2:25 you'll see a parasailer.  

Top AirVuz contributor Kpax earned another DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent drone video taken from a well-known hiking trail in the Swiss Alps.  The trail is called the  Pizol 5 Lakes Hike, and it's located in the Mt. Pizol massif in the Glarus Alps, a subchain of the broader Alps system.  Pizol has a peak altitude of about 7.3k ft. above sea level or just over 2.2k m.  It's located in the canton of St. Gallen, in the east-central part of Switzerland.   The video was filmed with a DJI Mini 5 Pro.  

Top AirVuz contributor Ericbartolo earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic drone video from the old town of Dubrovnik, Croatia.  Immortalized as the fictional town of Kings Landing in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, Dubrovnik lies near the southern end of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast on the Adriatic Sea.  Distinguished by its medieval era walls and red roof architecture, During most of the Middle Ages, Dubrovnik was the capital of the Republic of Ragusa, a free state which operated under the protection of the Ottoman Empire.  

Top contributor Airviewstudio earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding aerial video from Portugal.  The video opens with some dramatic shots of Azenhas do Mar, a seaside village on the Portuguese Riviera in the province of Sintra, followed (at the :58 mark) by the nearby Castle of the Moors.  At 1:14, you'll see the famous Pena Palace in the hills of Sintra.  Other featured locations include the interior walled town of Obidos (2:05), Peniche Fortress (4:26), the legendary surfing town of Nazaré (4:50, and more.  

New contributor Latitude Unknown earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic video from northern Norway.  Most of the video was filmed in the Lofoten Islands and Senja Island.  The Lofotens are a chain of about a half-dozen islands which lie above the Arctic Circle but which have a surprisingly temperate climate due to unusual ocean currents.  Senja, Norway's second-largest island, is located a bit north of Lofoten.  The video also features footage from the granite dome Torghatten on the island of Torget, a bit to the south of Lofoten.  

AirVuz contributor remefpv is one of the world's top aerial videographers, specializing in FPV drone shoots from some of the most exotic locations on Earth.  In this amazing piece, he takes on the Thanda Private Game Reserve in South Africa.  The reserve is located in the Umkhanyakude District Municipality, the northernmost of the 11 districts which make up the eastern province of KwaZulu-Natal.  Filmed with full permissions, the video provides an amazing perspectie of the reserve's Zulu inhabitants as well as its diverse safari life.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot CragLord turns it up another notch with this fantastic video from Alaska, which was picked as a DVOW Finalist in August of 2026.  Picking up on his previous videos of Alaskan bushplanes, in this video another element is added: a fleet of jetboats.  Watch as he skillfully chases the jetboats through semi-frozen rivers, and catches the jetboat carefully skimming the frigid water with its oversized tires that (amazingly) perform more like waterskis!  

Top AirVuz contributor used a DJI Air 3S drone to create this fantastic aerial video from the Altai Mountains in Siberian Russia, which was picked as a DVOW Finalist in August of 2026.  The Altai Mountains cover an area of about 325k square mi. (around 845k square km) of southern Siberia as well as parts of Russian neighbors China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.  With peak altitudes of up to 14.8k ft. above sea level (around 4.6k m), the mountains are the source of the Irtysh and Ob Rivers, two of the three giant Siberian waterways. 

Top contributor Dark Yellow Horizons earned a DVOW Finalist nomination for this excellent drone video from the ancient forests of Thailand's Khao Sok National Park.  The park covers an area of a bit under 300 square mi. (around 740 square km) in Surat Thani province, a bit to the north of the Phuket/Krabi area.  The park also includes Cheow Lan Lake, a giant artificial lake which was created in connection with the construction of the Rajjaprabha Dam.  Khao Sok Park is home to the largest remaining virgin forest in southern Thailand.   

Explore the spectacular alpine scenery of northern Pakistan with this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video by tayang.fpv.  Captured during the course of a motorcycle trip through the northern territory of Gilgit-Baltistan, the video features shots from the following spots: Karakoram Highway, the Passu Cones, Passu Glacier, Lake Attabad, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, the Fairy Meadows alpine valley, the giant mountain Nanga Parbat, the fortress of Baltit, Khunjerab Pass, the Rakaposhi Base Camp, and the Minapin Glacier.

Check out this stunning drone video of the partial solar eclipse in Rome Italy that occurred on August 12, 2026, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Mauro Pagliai.  He managed to film the eclipse, which occurred just before sunset and which covered nearly 70% of the sun, from a filming location just east of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.  Just before its scheduled occurrence, it began raining in Rome (for the first time in weeks), but fortunately the rain cleared just minutes before the moon moved in front of the sun.  

New AirVuz contributor earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent video of a famous aqueduct in northern Italy.  It's called the Visconti Bridge, and it spans the Mincio River, which runs for a length of about 40 mi. (around 65 km) south from its source at Lake Garda and empties into the Po River.  The structure originally dates to the late 14th century, when it was part of a fortified dam system.  Within a relatively short period of time, the dam system was abandoned, and the span has since served as a bridge across the valley.  

Top AirVuz contributor Kpax earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent video from the Swiss Alps.  The video was filmed over and around the mountain peak known as Rigi Hochflue, which overlooks Lake Lucerne (also seen prominently in the video) in the heart of the country.  It's part of the Rigi Massif, which is part of the Schwyz Alps and is shared by the cantons of  Schwyz and Lucerne.  The summit of Rigi Hochflue sits at an altitude of just under 5.6k ft. above sea level, or around 1.7k m.  

AirVuz contributor Maik FPV earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent aerial video from the tiny Southeast European country of Albania.  The video was filmed in Ksamil, a seaside town at the southern end of Albania's coastline, in the heart of the region known as the Albanian Riviera.  Filmed with a DJI Air 2S drone, the video captures the stunning beauty of this coastal gem, which sits near the spot where the Adriatic Sea gives way to the Ionian Sea near the Greek island of Corfu.  

First person view (FPV) drones offer a highly compelling way to show how complicated factories work.  Witness this piece by top AirVuz contributor PG DRONE, which was picked as a DVOW Finalist.  The video will take you through a sawmill, where raw lumber (ie, tree logs) go through a series of steps to become marketable wood products.  Filmed with a DJI Avata drone, the video does a fantastic job of showing the complexity involved in converting raw material into the boards, beams and other products vital for any construction project.  

Top AirVuz contributor Indoor Drone Tours gives us a fascinating first person view (FPV) drone tour of the brand-new training facility for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.  The video, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist, provides a unique perspective of this massive new facility in the Denver suburb of Englewood, which opened in July of 2026 and cost $175 million to build.  It covers 350k square ft. (almost 33k square m) and houses the team's practice, player reovery, and business functions.  

Top AirVuz contributor T - christ - T earned another DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic "four seasons" video from northeastern China.  The video was filmed in the vicinity of the Heavenly Lake, a crater lake of the Mount Paektu volcano.  The volcano is part of the Changbai Mountains, a range which covers portions of the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning, and also extends across the border into North Korea.  A UNESCO World Heritage site, the lake serves as the source of the Songhua, Tumen, and Yalu Rivers.  

Prepare to be blown away by this DVOW Finalist video from Alaska, compliments of top AirVuz contributor CragLord.  Filmed under close supervision, the video captures a "bushplane" making its way across the Alaskan landscape skimming over frozen tundra and glaciers.  Particularly noteworthy though is the over-water flight, in which the aircraft's fat tires act like floats.  In effect, the lift of the plane's wings combined with the buoyancy of the tires, exactly counteract the effects of gravity.  

AirVuz contributor AerialOdysseySkies earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from Montreal, Canada.  This highly creative piece was produced using waypoint programming and was filmed at three different times: a winter day, a summer day, and a summer night.  Stitched together to appear as a single continuous shot, the video starts on the left bank of the St. Lawrence River facing west towards the city's Central Business District, with the heights of Mt. Royal in the background.  

Top contributor nicolas.xanthos earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this fantastic video from the forests of Quebec, Canada.  Canada's largest province by area, Quebec covers an immense land mass of about 527k square mi. (a bit under 1.4k square km), larger than the area of Western Europe.  Of this territory, roughly 55% is covered by forest.  Quebec is increasingly challenged to balance the preservation of this resource against the demands of the forestry industry, which supports tens of thousands of jobs in the province.   

Check out this DVOW Finalist video of Australia's famous Story Bridge by top AirVuz contributor Oz Straya Panoramas.  Completed in 1940, this cantilever bridge spans the Brisbane River between the northern and southern suburbs of Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland and host city for the 2032 Summer Olympics.  The bridge has a total length of about 2.5k ft. (777 m), making it the longest cantilevered bridge in Australia; its main spain has a length of about 925 ft. (282 m) and maximum clearance of 100 ft. (around 30 m).  

Top AirVuz contributor timoksanen earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this fantastic drone video of the waterskiing scene in Finland.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone over  Lake Lohja (Lohjanjärvi), which is located in the Uusimaa region of southern Finland.  Incredibly, Finland is home to almost 190,000 lakes of at least 500 square meters (around five acres) in size, although only about 3% of these lakes are at least .1 square km and only about .2% are greater than 10 square km.  

Top contributor ArturCarvalho won the DVOW contest with this fantastic drone video taken at a new air show in Porto, Portugal.  The inaugural Air Invictus air show was held in Porto and several other locations throughout Portugal in the middle of June, 2026.  Filming fast-moving stunt planes in the middle of a large city is obviously a high-risk undertaking, and was undertaken in close coordination with the event organisation, the Portuguese Public Security Police and the National Aeronautical Authority.

Top AirVuz contributor cristiantowers earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding drone video of the Pico do Fogo volcano in the North African island nation of Cape Verde.  The active stratovolcano is located on the island of Fogo, one of ten islands which make up the archipelago country.  The volcano has a summit of about 9.3k ft. above sea level (around 2.8k m), the highest spot in Cape Verde.  The volcano erupts fairly regularly (most recently in 2014), although the last eruption of the main cone was in 1680.  

Top contributor vlcdroneXperience earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this outstanding drone video taken on a climbing hike in the mountains of eastern Spain.  The video was filmed on the climb known as Alt de les Creus, which is a six mile (about 10 km) hike in the municipality of Tavernes de la Valldigna, about an hour's drive south of the port city of Valencia.  The hike features a vertical climb of about 1.8k ft. (about 550 m), and on this particular day the temperatures exceeded 100 degrees F (around 40 degrees C). 

AirVuz contributor cristtiantowers used a DJI Air 3S drone to create this fantastic aerial tour of the Spanish island of Tabarca, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.  Tabarca is located in the Mediterranean Sea near the town of Santa Pola in Alicante, the southernmost of the three provinces which make up the Valencian Community region.  Famous for its marine reserve, Tabarca has the distinction of being the largest island in the Valencian Community as well as Spain's smallest permanently inhabited island.  

Top AirVuz contributor CinematicPier earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent first person view (FPV) tour of an ancient town in central Italy.  The city of Spoleto was founded in the 10th century BC by the Umbri, the people from whom the region of Umbria gained its name.  It's located in the foothills of the Appenine Mountains in Perugia, the larger of the two Umbrian provinces.  The video features outstanding footage of the Ponte Delle Torri bridge, which as a length of 787 ft. (230 m).  

Top AirVuz contributor Kpax earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent aerial video from Switzerland.  The video was filmed over Niederbauen-Chulm, a mountain which overlooks Lake Lucerne in the central part of the country and which lies on the border between the cantons of Nidwalden and Uri.  Part of the Umer Alps subchain, Niederbauen Chulm has a summit altitude of about 6.3k ft. above sea level (just over 1.9k m).  The video was filmed with a DJI Mini 5 Pro drone.  

Check out this fantastic drone video from northern Finland by top AirVuz contributor timoksanen.  The video was filmed near the village of Kilpisjärvi in Enontekiö, an "arm" of Finland's Lapland region which extends from the northwestern part of the country into Sweden.  Situated well within the Arctic Circle, the sun literally never sets here during the period around the Summer Solstice, when this video was filmed.  The video features shots of the Saana fell (small mountain), Lake Tsahkaljärvi, and the waterfall Tsahkalputos.

AirVuz contributor DroneViewsCanada earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this outstanding drone video of mighty Niagara Falls.  Using a DJI Mini 5 pro drone, he was able to film the giant waterfall from both the Canadian and USA sides of Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three falls which make up the system.  Situated on the Niagara River (which connects Lake Huron and Lake Erie.), the falls has a drop of 167 ft. (51 m) and has a peak flow rate of over 6 million cubic ft. (168k cubic m) per minute.  

Top AirVuz contributor Ericbartolo won the DVOW contest for this fantastic travel reel from Portugal.  The video opens with shots around Ponta da Piedade, a headland area in the town of Lagos in the (southern) Algarve region.  At the :20 mark, you'll see the Palace of Sintra, a Baroque masterpiece in the muntains to the  northwest of Lisbon.  Other featured locations include the fortified town of Obidos (1:00), the famous Dom Luís I Bridge in the northern city of Porto (1:34), the mountain town of Monsanto (2:29), and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor Dark Yellow Horizons earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this excellent video of two tiny islands in southern Thailand.  Ko Yao Yai and its smaller sister island  Ko Yao Noi are located in Phang Nga Bay, an inlet of the Andaman Sea (itself part of the larger Indian Ocean).  The two islands together occupy a land area of around 57 square mi. (around 147 square km).  They are part of the province of Phang Nga, which covers a portion of the western side of the Malay Peninsula as well as the islands of Phang Nga Bay.  

Top contributor Graham Green earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this outstanding drone video from the Australian state of Queensland.  The video opens with shots of Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island, which lies off of Queensland's central coast.  At the :50 mark, you'll see Millaa Millaa Falls in Queensland's far north.  At 1:50, you'll head to Port Douglas, also in northern Queensland, and at 2:12 you'll see Airlie Beach, in the Whitsunday Region.  Other locations include Atherton Tablelands (3:33), Inskip Point (6:50), and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor timoksanen earned another DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic drone video from Finland during the longest days of the year.  The video was filmed over a lake in southern Finland, which (unlike the northern part of the country) is below the Arctic Circle and does maintain a sunset (ie, the sun drops below the horizon) throughout the year.  However, during the period close to the Summer Solstice, the daylight never fully disappears, as you'll see from the portions of the video shot at 2:00AM.   

Top AirVuz contributor Michael Gisselere earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this fantastic inside tour of the Palace of Catalan Music (Palau de la Música Catalana), a famous music hall in Barcelona, Spain.  Designed by the famous Catalan architect and politician Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the Palau was built in the first decade of the 1900's.  It's located in the Casc Antic section of the old part of Barcelona.  In 1997, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.  The video was filmed with a DJI 360 drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor Powzeal earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video of a trio of hot air balloons.  The video was filmed at sunrise near Annecy, France, in an area of rolling hills just west of the foothills of the French Alps.  Filmed using strict safety procedures, the video provides a unique perspective of the floating balloons, as the fast-moving drone is able to film each balloon from any direction and at considerable speeds.  

Top AirVuz contributor AlexCarboni FPV won the DVOW contest with this spectacular first person view (FPV) drone video of one of world's most famous structures: the Pantheon in Rome, Italy.  Originally a Roman temple dating to the reign of the emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD (and built on the site of a previous temple), it was converted to a Christian church about 500 years later.  In continuous use throughout its nearly 2,000 year history, it's considered one of the most famous of all buildings from the ancient world.   

Top AirVuz contributor hangtime FPV earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this outstanding drone video from the Portuguese island of Madeira, which is located off the coast of North Africa.  The video was filmed over the island's northern coastline around the municipality of Ribeira da Janela.  The video, which features first person view (FPV) drone footage, features the mouth of the town's namesake river (the longest on the island) as well as some of the spectacular offshore rock formations here.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Frankfurtpilot earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic aerial video from Budapest, Hungary.  The video was filmed at sunset over the Budapest Citadella, a fortress which sits atop Gellért Hill on the Buda (western) side of the Danube River.  Constructed in the mid-19th century, the fortress played an important role during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, when Soviet troops used the citadel to fire on protesters supporting the defiant Imre Nagy regime.  

Top AirVuz contributor timoksanen won the Drone Video of the Week contest with this fantastic video from Senja, Norway.  Senja is the country's second largest island, covering about 600 square mi (around 1.6k square km).  It is situated well north of the better-known Lofoten Islands in Troms County, well above the Arctic Circle.  Locations featured in the video include Ersfjord Beach, the the Devil's Teeth at Tungeneset, the summit of Segla's mountain, the satellite island of Husøy, and Knuten (filmed during the "midnight sun".

Brand-new contributor Perigon Perspective was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest for this fantastic demo reel of their work with construction firms.  This company has obviously carved out an impressive niche filming construction sites, as the reel features shots of their work from over 100 different sites!  Construction projects, particularly larger projects, lend themselves well to being filmed by drones, as the aerial perspective is oftentimes the best way to showcase the scale of these undertakings.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot richardgeres earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this outstanding FPV action sports reel.  The video opens with a series of shots of a high-speed boat, and at about the :15 mark you'll descend onto a racetrack.  Next up is a motorcycle chase scene, and at :47 you'll see an off-road race.  At :51, you'll see a massive racing yacht, followed by a dogsled race, and at 1:13 you'll chase a very fast-moving windsurfer.  Other highlights include chases of horses and motocross riders.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot MazzaFPV earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week finalist for this fantastic video from southern Portugal.  The video was filmed over and around the Ponta da Piedade, a headland located near the town of Lagos in the region of Algarve, which covers the southernmost part of European Portugal.  The video was filmed with a DJI Avata 2 FPV drone.  It features the stunning coastal cliffs as well as the point's lighthouse, which dates to 1913.  

Top AirVuz contributor CragLord won the Drone Video of the Week contest in June of 2026 with this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of a small prop plane cruising the mountains and glaciers of Alaska.  Filmed under close supervision and in accordance with applicable safety regulations, the video features some of the best footage we've ever seen of a drone chasing a full-scale aircraft.  The video was apparently filmed during a period of high winds, making it all the more impressive!

Check out this fantastic drone video of a mountain on the Portuguese island of Madeira, compliments of AirVuz contributor hangtime FPV.  The video was filmed over the Pico do Areeiro, which has a peak altitude of just under 6k ft. (a little over 1.8k m) and is the third-highest on the island.  The mountain is located roughly in the middle of Madeira, due north from the capital city of Funchal on its southern coast.  It also serves as the starting point for hikes to Pico Ruivo, the tallest mountain on Madeira.

Top AirVuz contributor seb-depp earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this outstanding drone video of Scotland's Callanish Callanish Standing Stones, an important Neolithic ruins site in the Scottish Highlands.  Consisting of a circle of stones arrayed around a single large stone, they are situated on the western coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, a string of islands off of Scotland's northwestern coast.  The circle, which has made numerous appearances in film, TV, and literature, is believed to date to 2600-2900 BC.  

Top AirVuz contributor Yannek earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from the Durmitor Mountains in the Southeast European country of Montenegro.  The mountains, much of which are part of Durmitor National Park, are located in the northern part of the roughly diamond-shaped country.  Part of the Dinaric Alps chain of mountains, the Durmitor are one of several ranges which cover much of the central and eastern part of the country.  The video was filmed with a DJI Air 3S drone.  

Top AirVuz contributor T - christ - T earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from China's Sichuan Province.  The video was filmed over the Yading Nature Reserve in Daocheng County, in the southwestern part of the inland province.  The preserve is home to three peaks which are a major pilgrimage site and which have been sanctified by the 5th Dalai Lama.  The tallest of the three peaks has a summit altitude of about 19.8k ft. above sea level, or just over 6k m.

New AirVuz contributor 1fotokot earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from Montenegro's Kotor Bay.  The video was filmed over the twin islets of Our Lady of the Rocks ( Gospa od Škrpjela) and Saint George (Sveti Đorđe), which lie just off the coast of the town of Perast on the northern side of the inner part of the bay, which is an inlet of the Adriatic Sea.    St. George is a natural island, while Our Lady of the Rocks (which is distinguished by the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks) is man-made.  

Top AirVuz contributor tox_FPV won the Drone Video of the Week contest in July of 2026 with this fantastic compilation reel of footage from the Alps Mountains.  Filmed during 2024 and 2025, the video features dramatic shots from a series of ski resorts and runs and hiking trails across the region, home to some of the world's most spectacular alpine scenery.  Many of the shots feature the pilot and his traveling companions, framed in such a way to show how tiny human beings are compared to the giant mountains which make up the Alps system.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Arnaud Lesuerer earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for these FPV shots flying through canyons in southern France.  The first spot is near the Ponte du Diable bridge in a deep gorge of the Hérault River, near the village of Aniane in the Hérault Department.  At the 1:24 mark, you'll head to Fier Gorge, which lies on its namesake river just west of Annecy.  The last stop, starting just after 2:00, is Dioaz Gorge in the Mont Blanc region.  

Top AirVuz contributor AndreaSagui was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this fantastic video from the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy.  The video was filmed around Coldai Lake, which lies in the shadow of Mt. Civetta.  Prominently featured in the footage, Civetta is one of the most prominent peaks in the Dolomites, with a summit altitude of about 10.6k ft. above sea level (3.2k m).  It's in Belluno, one of the provinces of the region of Veneto.  The Dolomites are a subchain of the Southern Limestone Alps.  

Check out this stunning drone video from Indonesia by top contributor Muhamad AbuShakra.  The video opens with a shot from the crater of Mt. Top AirVuz contributor Kpax earned another Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding video from the Alps Mountains in southern Switzerland.  The video was filmed in the area of Poncino della Croce, a mountain located in the Gambarogno region of the (primarily Italian-speaking) province of Ticino.  The mountain has a peak elevation of around 4.8k ft. above sea level (just under 1.5k m) and (as you'll see from the video) affords beautiful views of the Magadino Plain and, beyond that, Lake Maggiore.   

AirVuz contributor SirLinc earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in June of 2026 for this fantastic "teaser" of a video highlighting magnificent scenes of nature from around the world.  Opening with shots of South Africa's Blyde River Canyon, the video offers shots of other recognizable spots such as an erupting Mt. Agung on Bali in Indonesia.  The "stars" of the video though are the safari animals from Africa: you'll see elephants, giraffes, hippo's, zebra's, water buffalo, and more.  

Check out this excellent drone video of the Thamalakane River in the African country of Botswana, compliments of AirVuz contributor Botswana tourism.  Unusually for any river, the Thamalakane has no clearly defined source or mouth.  It's part of the Okavango Delta, which is one of the few delta systems which doesn't flow into the sea.  Selected as one of the Seven Wonders of Africa in 2013, the Okavango Delta covers an area of about 8k square mi. (around 20k square km) and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
